If you using Wireless, maybe your device is saving energy. Try to switch PowerSave to OFF

I hope this help!
Thanks for the quick response. i checked my wireless setting and yes it was set to safe battery when low. i switched that feature off and still not updating.. same error.. gonna try the manual route.

one question though. do i download them individually into the same folder as the launcher is and run the launcher after every download or can i download them all at once and run the launcher after the downloads are complete?

You can download them all at once.
ok and then just stick them all into the launcher directory? will update and sort by itself?

Yes that will do it all itself by i did notice you sill have to be connected to the internet.
When Launcher starts it tries to connect to kitty for updates but when Dslauncher is open will
It only install the updates the updates you downloaded. That's what I found outa personal experiance
ok cool. am busy downloading the updates at the moment. am at work right now so will test it at home tonight.
ok that did the trick. thanks.

another quick question. lol. is there a way to force the freelancer server for lan play to broadcast over the IP4 protocol instead of the IP6 protocol without actually disabling the protocol in the network settings as i have other things running at home that require the IP6 protocol
Go to this site and download the Global server workaround. Just follow the instructions that come with the file
That should sort out your issue.

ok thanks. will try it out
didn't work.. its fine. made another plan. build up a small pc box and made it dedicated to run a Freelancer server and just disabled the IPv6 on that network card.
