Jump drives should be srped or monitored to make sure it isn't abused. Reports of abuse should be then delt with to remove lolwut abuse.

So using them to escape a fight (ANY fight) is bad? Or is it just using them to jump out AND back into a fight is bad?

Jumping out of combat should be treated the same as an unintended disconnect from combat. If the player returns to the sector, he should have the courtesy of not entering the battle again, unless a new engagement occurs between the his and the enemy forces (first combat is finished).

Not necessarily. The lack of counter is the big problem here.

Exactly. Once people actually have the JD disruptor...they'll make all them JD BSs very sorry they sacrificed armor for a disruptable escape. That being said..and going back to the OP's point - making CDs the "anti-all" in the interim isn't really a good thing.
