Kaiserliche Rheinwehr [RM] - Message Dump

Yesterday, my first actual patrol mission, didn't start so well. During initial training manoeuvres the morning sickness took control and I didn't quite reach the barf bag in time. I removed my soiled uniform trousers (which I had only received a week prior) and stashed then in the cargo bay mid-flight. I ended up flying without pants the entire day. Of course no-one realised this until I disembarked from my ship at Strausberg to retrieve some medication from the infirmary; failing to remember my assets were on full display.

I took up a patrol underneath General Leutnant Felicia Drum. The patrol through Berlin was uneventful. We
flew down the lanes past Bonn Station to Stuttgart, and then in to Omega-7. That was where things got interesting. Our first contact was with what the Leutnant affectionately referred to as a "toaster", one of the Harvester Series AI Drones. She had no idea what they were; myself possessing only a vague understanding from things I've heard from others.

After opening a conversation with the ship's on board voice recognition and understanding processes it became apparent that the ship had suffered a malfunction of some description. A scan of the ship indicated a number of human life signature, still very strong, held inside the ship. The Leutnant orchestrated the release of the "prisoners" the Harvester had on board - although the most likely scenario is they tried to capture it with the intention of scrapping and selling it. A Harvester, so far as I am aware, isn't an especially dangerous thing unless provoked to protect itself. The weaponry they have on board is something I've never encountered anywhere else and is exceptionally powerful - hence the people who periodically try their luck with one.

The Harvester seemed to drop in and out of "consciousness", lending more weight to the idea it had suffered damage at the hands of the people it held captive. We left the ship adrift in space and sought out the source of the reports of unwanted guests in the system.

Flying through the pea-soup that the Omega-7 system is, we encountered the main course for the day. A Hessian gunboat staring down the barrel of a Corsair gunboat; bomber; and two fighters. Our little toaster was in the process of copulating with the Hessian gunboat - much to my amusal. There was definitely something wrong with the little thing, but it seemed perfectly harmless at the time. And they are simply too cute to shoot at...

We spent some time there observing the situation. The Hessian ship and the Corsairs were busy waving their penii at each other, and myself and the Leutnant sat by the wayside until Vizeadmiral Voelkel and a reservist escort arrived. At that point the Va. took control and organised the game plan.

Upon the Corsairs' engagement of the Hessian boat the Ribizlibokor, all Military forces, comprising of myself, [RM]Fl.Eva.McDowell, [font=Arial Black][RM]Va.Alec.Voelkel, [font=Arial Black][RM]GLt.Felicia.Drum and the reservist [font=Arial Black]Kanon.Hanoka engaged the Corsairs' flagship [font=Arial Black]James.Scott.|Sails.

The Corsair boat was the first thing to go pop; followed by the Hessian boat shortly after. With the heavy-hitters knocked off the fight quickly turned to our favour. The next ship to bite the dust was [font=Arial Black]Ariazo:|Sails, myself scoring the lucky final shot - which wouldn't have been possible if not for the combined efforts of my superiors and my comrade in the reserve fleet. [font=Arial Black]Dante|Sails was taken care of, followed finally by [font=Arial Black]Mejor_amigo'|Sails.

We suffered no complete losses to our own side, I personally sustained absolutely no damage to the ship.

With the hostiles neutralised we left the miners-come-spectators to their business and returned to Rheinland. Va. Voelkel remained on Battleship Karlsruhe, myself and GLt. Drum flying back to the Moselle. I left the Leutnant by herself and returned to my home on Berlin.

Thus concludes my first patrol report as an Ensign of the Rheinland Military.
