Eventful patrol. More eventful than pretty much any other one I flew this month.

It all began with me and Flieger Lee running a standard check of Omega-7 and Stuttgart, during which we intercepted a Camara-class Freelancer transport in possession of some unusual cargo. Aside beryllium, military vehicles and a bunch of tied down people piled up into cells, the freighter was also in possession of organic material, which was pretty obviously of nomad origin.

Following a brief persuasion, the freighter, designated as Dracleon; decided to cooperate with our orders to relinquish the possible nomad material to space, which I confiscated and took to Karlsruhe for processing. A smaller MND detachment was dispatched to handle the case, I'm unaware of the results of the investigation and I never personally observed the cargo outside my scanner.

In Stuttgart, Oberfeldwebel Kreuzchen and Gefreiter Landers joined our patrol, so I've split the wings in two. The Oberfeld with Landers took Hamburg and Dresden, while me and Lee got to follow a Bowex convoy making its way through Frankfurt, producing quite a lot of events in their pass which they probably don't even know about.

First off, we stumbled upon an Interspace trading vessel, the John Warwolf, carrying military vehicles in Rheinland, which is a prohibited activity for Liberty corporations. The captain attempted to fool us by saying he was from Bretonia, but we were not remotely as ignorant as he thought we were. His attempt to flee and the lack of cooperation he showed forced me to take the case over from Lee who was trying to be subtle, then I proceeded to demand the military vehicles he had on board.

The captain didn't really wait for us to charge our weapons, he attempted cloaking out about as soon as I made the seizure demand for the cargo bay's content. We fired a few bursts at the Interspace ship and destroyed it, rendering the military vehicles out of the possession of Liberty assets.

Little after leaving Mainz, we ran into a Corsair gunboat, the Le-Cornue, it was probably looking to ambush the Bretonian convoy on their way back. After a brief exchange of words, it opened fire at us, with a Hessian randomly appearing from the asteroid field, we made short work of the pirate vessels.

We gave the Hessian, Ip Mon (apparently of the Red Hessian Army) a chance to leave in peace, which he didn't use and proceeded to attack me and Flieger Lee. We made short work of the Odin attacking us, damaging its communicator heavily in the process, seeing that he kept transmitting static throughout half of the battle, begging for mercy in the end.

Too late.

Our patrol's last station was Sigma-13, where I met Henrik Drum, former Hauptfeldwebel of the Rheinwehr. He was in possession of cardamine and several RFP captives, but the traitor managed to get away before we disposed of him. A more important issue came up during the discussion anyway, a distress signal from a RepEx shipment, No. 814 to be precise.

Flieger Lee went off to scout the nebula, I followed shortly afterwards. 814 was pinned down by a pair of Blood Dragon vessels near Gas Miner Naha, we didn't have time to ask for GMG permission to enter the area, seeing as we had to act quickly to preserve Rheinland interests.

The pair of Kusari terrorists were scared off by our patrol, vessel 814 was escorted to Rheinland territory safely. After landing on Fulda, I signed off patrol.

Admiral Alec Voelkel.

'Tag, Flieger Fischer here. That's my first report to this database, since I was pretty prevented from doing it earlier. I've been at a hospital, recovering from my injuries a few months back, this is also why I couldn't fly for that particular amount of time.

Anyway, to my report. I've been on a standart patrol through the core systems, New Berlin, quiet, Frankfurt, quiet just some passing by traders but nothing unusual, Hamburg, unusual quiet, then there was Stuttgart, the only place today that has been a little active. I was called there on my patrol, some lower-ranked secondary fleet pilot said there was a Zoner and some pilot of the WRF about to go wild. Well, it was that way as I could see it with my own eyes later. It's unbelievable how trigger-happy the Alpha-Wing-pilot acted. The Zoner, well, He wasn't a threat in my eyes since it was only a barely equipped fighter, not at all. I cleared the situation with words, though, Ja, even I can be a diplomat. *He chuckles*

I suggested the Zoner to clear the area and, just to be on the safe side, leave Rheinland for his own healthy.

Apart from that nothing really mentionable happened. So ja, that was it so far, more to come.

Fischer ende.

I tought it's a good idea to take a bomber to border control. So I jumped into my bomber and went to the Hamburg system. The RNC-Borna was already there. Everything was fine, until when two hostile vessels arrived. The first one was coming from Battleship Westfallen, he was clear, maybe he had got a wrong transmission. But the other one didn't respond to our hail. He activated his cruise engine, and started to drop countermeasures. I disrupted him, but he still tried to escape.
The RNC-Borna opened fire on him, so I did the same.

I leave my bomber in Hamburg for border control.

[font=Arial Narrow]

'Tag there again, Fischer here. Today has been rather eventful I must admit. I started my patrol alone from New Berlin, doing the usual, sweeping the lanes and gates for anything suspicious. After a while I spotted a Hessian near the lanes, his callsign was [RHA]Erstschlag, a Hessian bomber.

I managed to nail him down at the lane between Bonn and Brandenburg Station. After a little "chit-chat" I continued doing my duty, removing him from the Kanzlers space, by force. A few moments later some other Hessian passed by, looks like the Hessian wasn't as stupid as he looked like, he actually called reinforcements. It was a gunboat, callsign: RHGB-Liebling. So I had to dodge the gunboats fire aswell as shooting the bomber, I knew I wouldn't last long that way so I called for reinforcements aswell. Fortunately Major Mauser just signed in for patrol at that time, I was able to call him in. He arrived at the perfect timing and we were able to neutralize the threat, though unfortunately we weren't able to destroy the targets.

Later on Admiral Voelkel signed in for patrol, meeting up with me and we both continued the patrol, Major Mauser signed off. We were heading through Stuttgart and finally arrived in Omega-7, pretty much the hotspot lately.

And even today there was something going on, no furball as usual but other things. We got a call containing a report of an unknown vessel that has been spotted in the system, further investigations showed that it was a Phantom. We were able to track it down, pursuiting it through the system. I didn't show any aggressive hostility, not stupid since it was outgunned by far. The Phantom managed to get out of the system through a jumphole, it's further readings turned out that it was leading to Omega-5, out of our patrol range. We decided to head back to Rheinland, continueing the patrol through the core-systems.

Gefreiter Landers joined in at that point, me and him were ordered by Admiral Voelkel to build a team, the Admiral himself seperated and continued his part of the patrol alone. Me and Landers were heading to Dresden, another hotspot. And ja, we had a contact, another Hessian to be precise. His callsign read [RHA]Peter.Schubert, flying a Hessian Very Heavy Fighter.
<div align="right][Image: rha2.png]

We managed to track him down inside of the Giftnebel, quite dangerous spot. It came to another confrontation, involving me and the Hessian. The fight was rather equal, though, I had to break off the duel due to the large amount of time it consumed, so Gefreiter Landers joined in aswell. Well, that was the turning point, the Hessian obviously called reinforcements aswell as the first one I met today, unfortunately it has been a Cruiser this time. Me and Landers had not a chance at this point, obviously, so we had to blow into the horns to call in our men...

More and more Hessians joined in later, like a god damn wasps-nest. We were outgunned by far at that point, reinforcements still didn't arrive, I had to take some heavy damage, out of supplies...A few moments later our men finally joined in, too late for me unfortunately, I had to abandon my ship before the fight ended.

That was it for today, it seems, more to follow. Flieger Fischer signing off, I still have some decks on the Moselle to clean...*He sighs*.

From: Gefreiter Viktor Niklovach
Subject: Texas Raid
Report Count: 10

Mein comrades, today we had assembled a large fleet of some of our finest Militar including three commissioned Rheinland Battleships. The raid was led by Herr Koehler. I'm sure zhere will be someone to come along and give the full report on zhe battle, but for now I will give my personal report. Joining zhe fleet rather late, but just in time for combat we had outnumbered zhe Libertorians. But of course zhose pathetic Libertorians would pull two fleets out of zhe asses.

Unwisely we were attacked from behind from three "NPP" vessels, we had quickly taken care of their fighter and nearly they're Kusarian Class Explorer, but he had manage to flee like the coward he is. Eventually we had engaged the Navy's primary fleet. In the end I had to escape in a pod after the LNS managed to dice my wing, but I had gotten two kills to make me happy. Though we had counted some destruction, we had endured many losses as well.

Just an extension to the report of Flieger Fischer.

While him and Landers were fighting the Red Hessian in Dresden, I had the pleasure of patrolling the Crow nebula's most dense area, that being Sigma-13. Aside the usual Junkers and Blood Dragons, we also met a vessel I've only seen once during my Rheinwehr career, all I took of it was a brief glimpse.

Me and my wingman, reserve pilot Rudolf Jaenisch bumped into a ship apparently of Liberty origin, baring heavy resemblance to a Liberty Dreadnaught. Its design and apparent design was similar, but the scans we got off the vessel pointed otherwise.

During my talks with the ship's captain, who claimed to be on a diplomatic mission with the Yanagi junkers, showing no interest in Rheinland, we had plenty of time to analyze the vessel's structure. The massive ship apparently belonged to the rumored conspirator terrorist organization, the Order. Since I had not enough firepower in my hands at that time, we decided to let the ship go. Two Wraith barely could have scratched a battleship.

Marinenachrichtendienst agents analyzed the scanner data we collected and made a comparison between the Order battleship (known as Osiris in the areas where it actually operates) and the Overlord, the Liberty Dreadnaught we recently captured. Most of the data they compared and analyzed is confidential to even me, but allow me share a few tips to the rest of the Rheinwehr staff, should there be another encounter with a vessel of the similar class.

The "Osiris" appears to be lighter and more agile than its Libertonian counterpart, which is probably due to the lack of armor it is plated with. There's hardly any notable difference in the shielding, but the Osiris appears to have a device built into its hull that requires enormous amounts of power to operate. The MND was unable to determine its function, but it may be a weak point of the still quite massively armored Dreadnaught.

The weapon systems are relatively the same, the secondary fire turrets appear to be slightly more powerful than that of the Overlord, however a replication of the armament appears to be impossible, thus field tests cannot confirm the assumption.

Regardless, this type of vessel is to be avoided unless you are properly equipped. If not found within Rheinland borders, do not engage the Dreadnaught, since we have no official confirmation on what organization it actually belongs to. Even though the MND analysis is still not complete, we will probably never have a clear picture on the ship's combat capabilities unless we get to capture a "live specimen."

Admiral Alec Voelkel.

[INCOMING TRANSMISSON]
From: Miles Cadre
Subject: Regarding Patrol.

Commenced Patrol with Ge meyer and Hf Kraus, we patrolled Rheinland's core systems with nothing special happening.

Commenced training with Meyer in Braunschweig, and personally had my evaluation, of which I still am awaiting my results.

Also, was attacked by former RM pilot Hanz.Wurst. Sadly, my skills werent to match with the ex pilot, and my ship, along with its black box were destroyed, so regretably there are no records aside from witness accounts of the event.

I am sorry I have failed in the final task, and will remain in my rank until I have progressed further with my skills and am worthy of the next rank. I may perosnalyl be a vetern, but times have changed and I've grown lazy and fat. Its time to get back to shape and get back to skill.

Guten Tag meine Damen und Herren,

Report from 23.9.818 A.S.
I had patrol duty in Frankfurt system. I got tip on one pirate somewhere near the planet. Trade Lane between New Berlin jump-gate and Mannheim station was clear. When I was on the way to Mainz storage facility, I spotted two contacts. The first one was ALG transport standing near the lane, and the next one was hostile. I flew a bit closer to the hostile contact. It was a Freighter,'€¦ pirate freighter. When I scanner this hostile ship in more detail, I found Unioner identefication. It was a Unioner ! The ALG left behind me. I told him to leave the area. Now I was there alone, with the Unioner of course. He was trying to deceive me, but he had no chance.

5 minutes later'€¦
Lieutenant Putzkammer called for backup. Navy units were near the Hudson'€™s gate. I didn'€˜t have much time. I had to stop it quickly. The Unioner got chance to follow me into the prison, but he had problems with it. In 3 minutes he engaged my fighter. I powered weapons and fired. There was a big advantage for me, because the Freighter was very eazy target for my vipers and mini razor. The Unioner used '€žnuke spam'€œ and my ship got few damages,'€¦ but i was ok. 5 maybe 8 minutes later had the Unioner heavy damages. Scanners showed Freighter'€™s hull on 32%. Unfortunately'€¦ he engaged cruise engines and I didn'€˜t have any CD. I was following him and waiting for his critical mistake. I was following him into the Nebula, where his ship got light damages from the '€žNomad minefield'€œ. His hull was on 10% now. We left the nebula. After few minutes the Unioner entered asteroid field, where I lost him.

Today I was unlucky. Unioner'€˜s Freighter was almost dead, but he fled'€¦ Maybe next time.

Location: Frankfurt system.
