Bounty Hunters Guild Feedback - Agmen of Eladesor - 11-08-2011

After what I saw the other night - please feel free to blow him up for violating the FP1 NFZ if he bugs you again. We're discussing this in the Guildmaster chat. While we of course have issues with Zoner 'neutrality', we'd prefer not to get back into a massive shootout fest again if we can avoid it.

Oh, and it's also quite obvious that you've already run into issues with CN-Dada. Please feel free to blow him up as well - multiple times, even.

Would be cool if cetrain BHG members flown snubs rather than Orcas and Bottlenoses.

I can answer as to why we fly the funboats.

Because we more often then not, find ourselves fighting a lone or a couple of pirate VHF's, and then someone has the bright idea to bring a Gunboat or Cruiser to "level out" the fight and make it "fair" for the pirates...

It is simply a direct response to "you bring a boat?, ok, ill bring mine too."

addendum;
Some players, like myself, are incredibly bad with snubs and need something heavier to become an actual threat to anything.

"In gunny i'm stronger than in fighter" is not a valid point.
I can solo Terry in a battleship, so what? Should i fly it solely?

They fly what they enjoy. You fly what you enjoy. Deal with it.

If you want.

Well,...

Luckily the Bounty Hunters Guild Core doesn't operate in the fiend of actual bounty hunting in the houses.
Considering the Bounty Hunters guild developed Gunships and 'boats for a reason, that being pirates using also quite some better techs than just Very Heavy Fighters.

Look at the Rogues for example, them having Scylla's at their hands. Of course inRP they can't be spammed,
but there are enough to make a fleet from in-game.

In short, the answer was already given.
Using gear to counter that of the enemy and to use it in the most efficient way.

Gunboats like the bottlenose are all-rounders, good against Fighters and bombers, if you know how to fly also against Gunboats and anything above that.
A hunter has to make it's claims in some way right?

But since this is a game and not just full-realism, we (not me but Dashiell only actually) for everyone not to spam gunboats, and use snubs every now and then.

So if you happen to run into gunboats and you can't fight them, fly away.
Meet them again another time and you might get your easy kill because it's a fighter.
Keep flying away until you meet that fighter.

PS. Could share who you actually are, so I'll fly away when I'm on a gunboat:)

Of course it is. Let me tell you a bit something about the difference between fun in a ''I win'' sort of way and fun in a "iDied" sort of way.

Back in the day, when I could still get a fair share of blue messages, I enjoyed sitting in Cali on my LR, renamed from my usual one and wait for BHG| folk to come around to try and claim the price on the obvious LR- noobie. And then rape them in the nose.

It was fun in a way, to lure someone in with the promise of an easy kill and then make them run away.

But that sort of takes the challenge out of it, does it not? Now that if I see a BHG| coming, especially in a funboat, I go all "OSHI" and run. Because they are a real threat and I'd rather keep flying on that ship. It makes sense OORP and IRP to fly a ship to take out your target. Or at least, make sure said target does not pester others.

See where I am going with this?
