Subject: Patrol of Colorado/New York

Nothing much happened today, except for a lone "Keeper" paying a visit to Colorado, although, I never ran into it ( Thank god..).

Whilst headed back to Colorado after a New York routine patrol, I ran into two Samura Heavy lifters popping out of the Colorado Jump hole. I thought it odd for Samura to use a Jump hole, but I chased them nonetheless. Unfortunately, they escaped to Planet Pittsburgh. Soon after, I was ambushed by the [SA] and my ship was destroyed. Luckily, my wing mate scooped me up, and brought me back to Ouray after the battle.

I got another Hawk, but it's sort of beat up. Nothing a few hours of self-mechanic work wont fix though, so no worries there.

Pretty boring day, but at least it went by fast (Supprisingly).

Sam Willis, out

With a hearty chuckle David opened the box sitting in front of him, when the salvage from the busted Junker freighter from earlier that day had been sifted through he could hardly believe his eyes. This was antique stuff, but brilliant. An old Detroit word processor. Styled to look like a typewriter from centuries past it was equipped with a laser printer and all other manner of handy gadgets. He'd had one in his office from long ago, it was a fantastic find.

Giving the first key a rap of his finger the machine came alight, and he began to write.

Battle Report, 5/24/817

The day kicked off much as any other, with a little trade interdiction down in Bering. I understand that the Navy has ordered an embargo on the trade between Rheinland and Liberty, but our initial jubilation over this turn of events turned to sour disappointment when it became apparent that they had no strong intention of supporting it.

Little to report in that regard, four trade vessels: Borderworld Exports21, Dark Anubis, Gradis and MuhQ were all stopped and given the option to drop their cargo to spare their vessels, or face destruction. All opted for and received the latter.

At this point I received a call begging for aid in Colorado, so I turned on the burners and made my way through the Texas system without incident. However, in New York I stumbled into some problems and ended up in a chase between myself and my persuers: General Kaitlynn (rawr) two bounty hunter battlecruisers and a bounty hunter bomber. I managed to duck and dodge them for a while afor finally being able to take the chase into the Badlands, where I turned and destroyed the BH bomber... Twice. [SA]-Lecric.Shocker arrived mid fight and I opted to make my way back to Texas and across to California before the rest of the battlefleet arrived on his heels.

In Colorado we encountered a Blood Dragon by the name of "Moonwalker" who dared land on Ouray, needless to say we put him to paid in short order. The cry of a Dragon on Ouray gathered a great number of Xenos to one place however and we decided to see if perhaps we couldn't form a battlegroup and take on a more formidable challenge.

The battlegroup consisted of the following Xenos:

XA-Copperhead: Taiidan Bomber
White Dahlia: Taiidan Bomber
Red-October|4th: Taiidan Bomber
Brian Johnson: Taiidan Bomber
Jimmy Dalton: Eagle
XA-Cottonmouth: Eagle
XA-Landon.Kramer: Starblazer

We made out way to Detroit Munitions with intent of staging a raid on the station to hijack any possible equipment or weapon transfers taking place when, feeling bold, we elected to raid the depots that sit adjacent to Newark station. This ultimately proved itself to be as foolish as move as it would seem and only good fortune and providence spared us from losing lives over the decision.

Moments after arriving at the Depots we found them to be empty, but that Manhattan orbit was swarming with hostile pilots. I gave orders for the group to break and make with all speed to Fort Bush, from where we might continue on to Colorado, but we were cutoff and forced into the fray.

The battle quickly spiraled out of control, if it weren't for numerous black box images captured during the battle I wouldn't be able to accurately recount what took place truth be told. Landon Kramer distinguished himself during the battle, inflicting heavy damage despite flying a StarBlazer, though his vessel was destroyed after being targeted by one of the Liberty Dreadnoughts in orbit. I was able to retrieve his ejection pod before he sustained any personal injury.

Thankfully, his was the only casualty that we sustained in the assault. Red October's vessel overheated and shut itself down before the battle could truly be joined, when he came back online he was in the process of backing out before his resolve was hardened by the fire spewed by the LPI's Liberty Dreadnought which had joined the frey.

I'd heard this vessel was called the 'Rusty Donut' due to its state of disrepair, but the vessel that we encountered was hardened by he most modern armor and carried a full compliment of state of the art weaponry. There was nothing rusty about it. It was the largest vessel to take to the field, and my heart sings to inform that it was disabled, her core destroyed, crew fled and windows gone dark. The last sight I had of her was as she was swept into Manhattan's gravity well. Like as not she'll fly again, but we dealt a sore blow to the LPI that could not be matched by any number of downed Liberators.

The full report of the hostile vessels encountered at the battleground run as such:

LPI Rusty Donut: Liberty Dreadnought - Disabled/Destroyed
Gafwmn: Liberty Assault Battlecruiser - Disabled/Destroyed
Jablack: Liberty Cruiser - Disabled/Destroyed
Sgt_Burton: Liberty Gunboat - Disabled/Destroyed
Jasp: Liberty Gunboat - Disabled/Destroyed
Kegau Kusari Naval Forces- Kusari Gunboat - Disabled/Destroyed
Jack_Sparrow: BHG Gunship -Disabled/Destroyed
Auspex: BHG Orca - Disabled/Destroyed
[JS]Joker-1: Raven Claw -Destroyed
=LSF=Evangelion: Avenger - Destroyed
=LSF=Mike.Edwards: Avenger - Destroyed
=LSF=Christian.Deus: Avenger- Fled to Pittsburgh
[SA]-Stephanie.Malaign: Havoc II- Destroyed
Tristian: Avenger- Destroyed
Foxy: Arwing- Destroyed

*Disabled/Destroyed meaning they went boom, of course.

The arrival of the Kusari Naval ship was... A bit of a surprise. Though it was routed as well.
Those are the events of substance that took place today. We did, however, carry our posse on to Magellan to see if we might not stir up some trouble with the Lane Hackers, though the resulting battle met with little result save the destruction of a light fighter, a few of our vessels going haywire and the retreat of two Sabres.

Battle report concluded.

At this rate, the movement would begin making real steps forward towards seizing Liberty back for the people.

Oi! Ouray control, Copperhead here. Cottonmouth and I're returning to the roost. Got word that some of them Nommies were stirring up trouble and we reckoned we'd give a hand with the poking sticks to send 'em on their way. Got jumped on route by a bounty hunter by the name of Samual Lance Jr., looking to collect the bounty on my noggin. Ahh, Cotton and I were making some progress where an Orca Gunboat piloted by some fellow or another jumped in. Managed to put him down without too much fuss, but by the time his ship was exploring the various definitions of the term 'burning pile' the Navy'd finished off them Nommies and were on their way back, started shooting us up!

So, right. We're on our way back! Copperhead out!.

Subject: KoF Delivery

So I was hanging out in Kepler when I got a call from two [KoF] vessels, the "Charkotay" and "Kaim" claiming that they were here on a peaceful convoy and wanted to meet me at Nome. Curious as to see what was up, I headed over to Nome in my brand new Starflier. Turns out they had brought us supplies! They brought us:

-H-Fuel
-Super Alloy
-Pharmaceuticals
-Basic Alloy
-Consumer Goods
-Superconductors
-Luxury Consumer Goods
-Light Arms
-Food Rations

I thanked him, as these will help spur our cause further! Since he saw that it was taking me a long time to haul these goods in, he offered to take them in himself - which I accepted. He came out and proceeded to give me the money he had got from the goods! What great generosity from these kind traders! Attached are the records of the traders' actions and words.

I'm currently sitting on Ouray, outfitting my Starflier with Scorpions! Let's see how the Navy and LSF will take that! Ha!

Hatchling Kramer, out.

This little bugger again! He even placed a 300 million bounty on me! I almost had him when he began to run... I then turned my fire on Newark Station, an Interspace Commerce base! I was blowin' up the base's turrets when a dreadnought patrol came by.. thought it would be fun to ram me! The front of the dreadnought split my beloved Starblazer in half! This'll be a real doozy to replace.. I'm already low on credits as it is!

Well, today were a fine one indeed for me ego it was! From the top, Jack Tar asked if I would be so kind as to help him set up a few of his new ships, as he was movin' up in the world. 'Course, I obliged. Li'l did I know that an LSF gunboat had me on his scanners almost as soon as I stated makin' mah way to Jackie's locale. He too had picked up one o' them dirty LSF on his backside, and we decided to meet up in Colorado to take the trash out.

Still, the combined firepower of our two Eagles was unable to more than dent the gunboat's shields, with an LSF escort Avenger makin' a surprisin'ly good job of covering the lumbering bigboy.

Before long, Jackies ship gave in to some sort of engine failure. His whole tank got dumped into the jets and he was off like a rocket with a porcupine up where the sun dont shine. So yeah, me all on mah lonesome versus a hotshot fighter jock =LSF=Evangelion and some gunboat. Not too good right then. It only got worse.

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/McN...6/screen753.jpg

Lady luck appeared to shine for the other team as a Jupiter Guild Rheinland bomber, with an Inferno mounted came into range. Gawd damn, if he hadn't had run, I might've got my hands on that hardware... military grade stuff too, not like the equipment we usually get. Probably had a pretty good energy matrix, seein' as it was a snubnose model, but hey, it weren't to be.

The guy was surprisin'ly pacifist in his attackin' maneuvres, and I was easily able to drop his shields with my mini razor and follow through with me Suntigers an' Widows. He soon got bored or whatever, and left the scene. Probably because he couldnt land any decent shots.

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/McN...6/screen754.jpg

All the while, that pesky gunboat and support fighter were up mah tailpipe shootin' lightshows at me. I'd have to stop some of that at least eh?

My guns turned on the Avenger and we had a right good tussle. He ate his own nuclear mine at one point, which he miraculously survived. Still though, it provided me with the edge I needed. Towards the end, I saw the fighter jock tirin' in his manuevres, them becommin' more slack, so I increased the temperature!

That gunboat didn' do much throughout the skirmish I must say, unable to cover his ... cover.... yeah...

So the fighter was about to fall, then he cruised on out of here. I would've been angry at myself for not kissin' his hull with a mini razor, but hey, it happens don't it.

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/McN...6/screen756.jpg

I soon left the gunboat in the dust behind me and headed home for a good drink to displace the adenaline that I'd be pumpin' out durin' that skirmish.

So yeah, no kills, but I think we proved that we are the better team to be on. That, an' them decisive victories not too long ago will definately be gettin' us more recruits.

For the Xenos! Alright!

9/6/817

*David Chambers looked nervously towards the blue orb of Manhattan, just coming into view as the last vestiges of the vast Jersey debris field passed behind his vessel. New York was just a little too close to the fire for him, but then he'd never truly rejoiced in combat.*

"Allright boys, form up tight." Leo Mathew's voice squaked from the CB radio bolted to his bomber's dash. No decoders or fancy gear here, just ancient tech and shortrange radio. "We're gonna do a hit and run on the Manhattan Bush lane. Bring 'er down, tear the face off the first pig to fall into our laps then we light up the burners and geton out." the other two pilots in the wing, Rath Tolan and Datrian Perrone tapped their mikes in quick succession to mark their copy.

"Roger that Leo, riding in at 5:30 5 high." David returned. Looking out the window of his beaten Taiidan towards Manhattan once last time David gave into the butterflys in his stomach and reached for a music disk. It was bad form and the noise was surely a distraction, but some tunes always made it easier to focus on something other than the knots in his gut. Slapping a mini disk into the player sitting aside the shortwave he pressed play and settled back. In New York, the fight could always go either way.
"Tradelane 2k out. Davey, drop on outa cruise and bring 'er down!" Leo ordered.

With that, the shot was fired and the operation begun. The tradelane was desynchronized and disengaged itself. Would only be moments before the first vessel fell into their laps.

It could always go either way in Liberty.

I'm back in baby's arms; How I missed those loving arms. I'm back where I belong, Back in baby's arms.

He didn't even have time to settle into his seat before the patrolling cruiser fell into their laps. Two more seconds and the vessel would have flown on by.

"Leo! Rath! We've got company! Fire fire fire!"

There was no way they'd be able to flee the Cruiser as a group, this was bad. Moments before it began to fire off blasts of plasma at the four Xenos it sent out a distress signal. The clock was ticking now, and with that David fired off the second shot of the day. Everything erupted into chaos.

Don't know why we quarreled, We never did before. Since we found out how it hurts, I bet we never quarrel any more.

"David! We've got incoming! Ah, Jupiter Guild repair ship, nevermind him! Keep firing on the Cruiser!" Raths voice overtook at this point "Guys! Incoming Gunboat! It's the Hampton Roads!"

David clenched his jaw and concentrated on evading the fire of the new gunship, this is always how it happened in NY. The four of them were giving the Cruiser's shields a run for their money, despite the firepower it was producing. Rath's fighter was doing a good job of harrying it, but with the arrival of this gunboat they mi "Harvester Cruiser!" Datrian's voice cut in. "We've got a second cruiser on us, some nutjob in a fight... "Nevermind all that!" David interrupted "Shaddap and take down that cruiser! If yer not breakin' yon beastie's back yer wrong!"

David grinned as the Cruiser's shields failed and fire began to erupt from its hull, wouldn't be long now. The Hampton was doggedly pursuing him, but dodging its fire while hitting the relatively enormous bulk of the cruiser was a simple task.

Capture 1

I'm back in baby's arms; How I missed those loving arms. I'm back where I belong, Back in baby's arms.

"Ah, boys, we've got problems. Its the Blakely and Niagara falls." Rath spoke with a surreal measure of calm. "If we're gonna make it outa here, we need to drop th, oh, there she goes! Yeeeeeeeeehaw!" The Liberator's core ejected at that point, exploding a distance away from the burning Cruiser, now jettisoning escape pods in every direction. "Caller even then! Allright everyone! On the Hampton!"

Capture 2

Thought I didn't need his love, 'Til he took it away. Now I'm back where I belong, And in my baby's arms I'm gonna stay.

David kicked the throttle and spun around to face the remaining opposition. Two fighters, a cruiser, two gunboats and the guild member. The Jupiter Guild had begged neutrality in the past and it didnt look to be interfearing none right now. Zoner as it was, the Harvester wasnt like to be its fir,POD AWAY POD AWAY Sunbeams voice cut through as his bomber exploded, fire from the the Viper and the Harvester cruiser cutting through the Preagles hull. David watched with grimly as the escape pod spiraled away, flushing decoys as it spun into the black

On the Harvey, on the Harvey! Big target to go down!

He let loose with the first cannon blast, fire from the two gunboats rushing away as the cannon fire from the cruiser rushed towards. It was a maelstrom of light to which his bombers shields did not seem to enjoy playing party.

I'm back in baby's arms; How I missed those loving arms.I'm back where I belong, Back in baby's arms.

He pulled every stunt he knew to keep in the fight, circling around the cruiser pounding into its hull time and time again. Its shields dropped, then recharged, dropped again, and again, and again. He finally scanned the ship to find it dry, and looked on with satisfaction as Leo managed to pop the vessels bubble one final time. Thats it Leo! Shes dry! Time to start pummeling hull! with no small amount of satisfaction he brought his cannon to bear one final time As the Cruisers shields came back up.

Leo! Dammit! That damn Zoners feeding the Harvey! Grimacing he took another round from either the two gunboats, cruiser or the Viper, he couldnt tell anymore. Thats it, Im done. Im out. Ships falling to pieces and its time to bolt. I gotta split!

With that the ship went dark and another salvo ripped through his port wing, reducing the disruptor mounted there into so much burning detritus. With a curse he pulled a lever and returned the ship to manual flight, off-lining the fly by wire.

The radio was dead, half the thrusters werent operating, as his ship descended into a irrecoverable spin David screamed and pulled the ejection lever. The canopy flew away and he was packed into a quick forming bubble But remained strapped into his cockpit.

Looking up with a wild eye he saw the small fleet turn slowly into view, burning trails of plasma lancing towards his naked face.

Back in baby's arms.
Back in baby's arms.
Back in baby's arms.

RE: Li'l introduction

I do believe a li'l introduction or somewhat's in order. Most of you know me as Mule, but it seems one way or other most people'll have heard a thing or other about maself, and since most of you don't seem like the type to go blabbing, I might as well let it out.

The name's Simon Grey, I used to be a mechanic at Norfolk, but some.. unpleasenteries between meself and the Navy've put us on opposite sides of this struggle. I won't go into that right now, but as far as Liberty knows, I've gone into.. quiet retirement.

Since I've got some skills as a mechanic and whatnot, I've signed up with the engies at Ouray, where I'll be spending most of my time, getting Xeno ships back operational. If you ever need a bomber pilot and you're a bit short on a raid, I'll be right there in the fray with ya.

Grey.
