OPERATION WEEPING ODIN

At 18:00, Task Group Walkure departed Schatten Research Facility with four Xenogen Weaponized Biotic Appendage hybrid prototype samples.

At 18:30, Task Group Walkure scouts encountered a heavy ambush party consisting of Coalition, Hessian terrorist, and Wilde elements on the C6 trade lane.

Enemy forces consisted of numerous fighters and bombers, and two Hessian Capital ships; the gunboat [RHA]RHGB-Ostwind, and the cruiser [RHA]RHC-Valhalla

At 18:31, Task Group Walkure engaged the enemy ambush party, and scout Hans Frey's vessel was lost to the Valhalla in the initial salvo.

18:32, with supporting fire from BDM|U-201 and friendly fighter escorts, BDM|RNC-Brynhildr bore down on to the Valhalla, and destroyed it while sustaining moderate damage.

18:35, with supporting fire from the BDM|RNC-Bryhildr and friendly fighter escorts, BDM|U-201 pursued and destroyed the Ostwind, before succumbing to the combined firepower of the Hessian, Coalition, and Wilde fighters and bombers.

18:36, with enemy capital vessels destroyed, the Brynhildr exploited the chaos of battle, and slipped away to New Berlin to continue the delivery of the package.

By 18:42, Brynhildr managed to arrive at Munster Research Station without further incident.

All participating escort forces have been recognized and awarded commendations for their valor. SOURCE

AFTERMATH REPORT
It is unknown whether or not the Hessian forces were deliberately waiting to ambush Task Force Walkure for its special cargo. Investigations are underway to audit internal security and to weed out possible intelligence leaks.

Brynhildr and U-201 sustained moderate to heavy damage, requiring extensive repairs. Both vessels are scheduled to resume duty within 48 hours.

Guten Abend,

Everything in our homeland Rheinland was alright until I encountered the battle between our two gunships BDM|U-66 and BDM|U-201, and two Liberty Battlecruisers near the planet Hamburg. I took part in the fight immediately in my Bergelmir bomber. Within a few minutes, the two hostile Libertorian vessels were destroyed by the captains of U-201, U-66 and me. We didn't see any survivors to the two ships, either probably because they were too late to manage to escape to the life boats, or they didn't even have life boats on their cruisers. Anyways, the Libertorians were again wiped out of our homeland.

As we returned to planet Hamburg, we detected and stopped a Liberty vessel "Mammoth", which was totally not allowed to fly around in Rheinland space. The freelancer captain probably didn't know about the war between Liberty and Rheinland until we told him. Finally, the vessel went back to Liberty as he was ordered.

Guten Tag,

There were two corsair cruisers spotted in Frankfurt. One of them was carrying 100 artifects, and both of them had innocent citizens on the board. We ordered them to release the citizens and hand the artifects to us, but they rejected our request. Thanks to the captains of gunboat Kruger|Omega-11 and BDM|U-201, because there wouldn't be a victory for the Rheinlanders without their help. After they were destroyed, we tractored the artifects and the citizens.

First action since I am in the Buro. I met my former mates from the Military. When I arrived to Bonn, I saw a Nomad, it's energy signature belonged to bomber type, according to my database. But this thing wasn't only thread there. My scanners also picked up Red Hessian Odin class fighter. This Hessian and Nomad were in.. non hostile relation to each other. Seconds after Hessian's comming I saw bright energy pulses comming from the Nomad to every direction, those pulses were getting to be brighter and brighter. Then I felt a strong headache and passed out. Luckily, I woke up quickly and kept distance to the alien. Unfortunately, another Hessian came. After short barrage from battleship Strausberg, both Hessians ran away and Nomad vessel cloaked, or... what it did. It simply disappeared from my scanners and I was no longer able to see it. Also, carrier RNC-Festung.Koenigsten (I can't remember the name, so I am unsure) and many other Buro and Military people arrived to our position. We chased the Hessians, minutes later, we found them near the Stuttgart gate, where one's ship got destroyed in quite "fair" duel with one of more experienced pilot, and the second, that who had encounter with the Nomad suffered our combined power, cover fire from our carrier and my missiles and mines. Then.. my ship urgently needed repairing.

Hessian: You're Valkyrie sent by Odin?
*Seconds of silence*
Hessian: What should I do to become worthy of Valhalla?
*Another seconds of static*
Hessian: Valkyries are usually demanding battle courage, not eating something.
Hessian: One can't become worthy by pleasing his stomach.
Hessian: You are wrong Valkyrie...
Hessian: Maybe you are corrupted and sent by vile Giant Surthur.

Seems that these Hessians are really crazy in some ways.. This showed me that they really believe in old Scandinavian gods. But what should I think about that alien? It propably driven the Hessian out of mind too.. I don't know if that is possible, but I saw enough to believe I really passed out.

This was meant to be routine patrol mission in Dresden system, which finished as soon as we got report about presence of Red Hessian battleship in neighboring Stuttgart. However, we met an empty Junker transport heading to Helgoland station in the Sigma thirteen system, nothing relevant. Our attack group prepared to destroy the battleship consisted of one gunboat, two bombers and two fighters. We used not well-known jump hole to reach our destination. Our target escorted by three fighters was on other side, directly next to our exit. Battle started immediately. First blood was fighter craft belonging to the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee. Surprise came when I saw who destroyed it. It was one of our bombers, fafnir class. During the battle we received reinforcements, third Wraith class and the battleship Wetterwandeck. This battleship made whole fighting shorter. Also, this was the first day I destroyed an opponent's vessel in fair fighting. Odd feeling I must admit. The Red Hessian battleship got destroyed minutes after I destroyed the Odin class fighter. Third of their fighters ran away and our only duty remaining was setting our vessels to repairing facilities.

I was going to planet Hamburg from the Freiburg station in Stuttgart system. Nothing interresting happened before I used the tradelane from the Stuttgart jump gate to the Bonn station. The lane has been disrupted by two fighters, no match for me, but suddenly, some ship appeared three clicks away from me, appeared from nowhere. First seconds, my computer had problems with identifying it, something was interfering the scanning. Closer scans showed it is Wraith class, but odd one.

BDM|Rkt.Karl.Schlafen.: Identify yoursellf, what is your name?
Wraith: "Katharina Sonnen"
BDM|Rkt.Karl.Schlafen.: Well. Frau Sonnen, what is your mission here?
Wraith: "I am afraid it is classified"
BDM|Rkt.Karl.Schlafen.: I do care about it.
Wraith: "I have no choice Herr Schlafenberg, orders are orders...the boss said don't tell anyone"

Wraith: "Sorry?"
BDM|Rkt.Karl.Schlafen.: Well. I have never saw such equipment in the Buro arsenal. Maybe something I don't know about.. nein.
Wraith: "It is...a new kind of technology"
BDM|Rkt.Karl.Schlafen.: I see. The engine including?
Wraith: "Ja"

Well. According to the database, no one with such high rank named Katharina Sonnen exist, even never served in the Buro der Marineninteligenz. Those energy readings.. were similiar to readings we got some time ago about one vessel piloted by traitor.. and some Nomad infected ships! Most distinctive part of these ships were thrusters. The Wraith disappeared as quickly as apperared. When I re-read the scan readings, I realised the most powerfull source of energy was comming from ship's cargo hold.

SUBJECT: Hunting for smugglers

I was returning from supply mission when I saw a pirate train heading directly to the... Westerwald. I hailed the vessel and requested immediate stopping, but it ignored me. I intercepted the train into the cloud, I knew exactly where is it heading, but it was surprise for me. Ship was heading to Neu Berlin jump hole. I was.. how to say.. Smugglers know where jumpholes are, so we now know where to stop them. Mapping smuggling routes should be worthfull for law enforcement.
I attempted to stop the ship in Neu Berlin and then in Hamburg, but it was allways too far. I contacted all police and military forces in system about it and got immediate response from military Wraith pilot named Hans.. I forgot the surname. Unfortunately, he was trying to stop another smuggler, cardamine smuggler too. I continued intercepting the first one. There was only one propable point of escape, the jump hole leading to Hudson system. I headed straight there and as I expected, the smuggler was planning to use it. After I offered him life for cargo and fee, he ignored my hailings and opened fire. I was forced to defend myself and after short battle, he jumped to the Hudson system and I obviously followed him. On the route I met my military mate intercepting the second smuggler, this time, it was Junker Salvager vessel. The Svadilfari, my ship, followed the train to Texasburg gate *coughs* not yet... The smuggler used the gate, now.. it was outside my jurisdiction. It was insane to follow him there with weakly armed and lowly damaged transport. I attempted to intercept the Salvager, I knew exact position of my mate.. he was near tradelanes. I decided to disrupt one ring and.. seconds after I did, the Salvager jumped out. I requested it's cargo, unfortunately, this was other ignorant. We destroyed it and it's cargo with it. We were in middle of warzone, it wasn't safe to stay here so we returned to Home. Nothing interresting happened before we came to the Alster shipyard. We saw a Sunrider class fighter. For some reason, my computer marked it as hostile. Closer scannings detected two weapons of Libertonian construction. I requested it to stop. Well... another ignorance! After some attempts we engaged it. This fighter damaged my ship more than first smuggler. After ten minutes long fight, the Wraith destroyed it.

This day we found "lost" Liberty siege cruiser in Koeln system. I wondered why have it went there.. Me and Kommisar Volker Koch received immediate assistance from two Kruger gunboats. The cruiser opened fire on one of those gunboats so we returned fire in full power. Cruiser got quickly torn apart by couple of Panzerfaust blasts combined with gunboat fire. Our group disbanded soon after and I took straight way to Hamburg system, where I intended to dock my ship at the battleship Westfalen. After I jupmed to Hamburg, I saw Serenity class transport.

BDM|U-74: Karl: Stop please.
BDM|U-74: Karl: You must be scanned.
At this moment I saw full cargo of blood diamonds.
BDM|U-74: Karl: Drop cargo!
Smuggler: Is there another way?
BDM|U-74: Karl: Yes.. not at all. You are required to drop it and pay a fee *smiles*
BDM|U-74: Karl: Do it, I haven't whole day
Smuggler: How much.
BDM|U-74: Karl: Two and half milion credtits.
BDM|U-74: Karl: And drop it obviously.
Smuggler: Ok one sec.
The vessel now opened fire on me! I was attempting to force the smuggler to pay for his crime, by guns. I also saw a Donau class cruiser pretty close.
BDM|U-74: Karl: Smuggler here.
Cruiser: Army here...!
Cruiser approached and Panzerfaust blast made enormous hole in the Serenity's dorsal armor.
BDM|U-74: Karl: You still have chance.
Smuggler: Stop
Smuggler: I'm gonna do it.
BDM|U-74: Karl: Do it now and no tricks!
My scanners picked up cluster of blood diamonds boxes floating next to the Serenity. I fired a couple of cruise disruptors and destroyed the boxes.
Smuggler: Will let me go
Smuggler: If I transfer.
BDM|U-74: Karl: That is not all, you have to pay a fee. Transfer 2,5M to my account now.
He did it under supervision of cruiser staying directly next to him.
BDM|U-74: Karl: Gut, you can now go.

After this encounter I returned to my previous plans and headed to Westfalen.

Statusbericht



The preparations to start construction on the Goliath prototype have been completed. We are ready to begin with the installation of the construction scaffold and its machines. The main construction works will take place at hangar C-5, while the assembly work will be performed at shipyard A-1.

We expect to finish the cruiser in about six months. After its completion, it has to undergo an extensive inspection. Until then, i will keep you informed about its progress. The current status can also be viewed in our database at the link below.

I was currently on the Dortmund station when I got an emergency call from Hamburg. Presence of more than five Libertonian ships was reported near planet Hamburg. Preparations were short-timed indeed. I have arrived to the planet as soon as possible and met other people of the Military and the Buro. I saw two Liberty dreadnoughts, two battlecruisers and two Serenity class transports refitted to battle. We offered them to surrender, but they opened fire. First ship which succumbed to combined fire of the U-201, my U-74 and one of our cruisers was one of those battlecruisers. Unfortunately, destruction of our Donau class cruiser followed. We immediately swithed to second battlecruiser. They were defenseless against power of the Rheinlandish war machinery. Panzerfaust blast was fatal for the second battlecruiser. After it's destruction, the two battletransports concentrated fire on my Fafnir. Easy targets for us.. they got quickly wrecked. We started to intercept one of the dreadnoughts, it attempted to power up it's cruise engines many times and failed. Despite the fact that this warship had far stronger armor than both battlecruisers together, it turned into dust, thanks to our skills. Our scanner systems haven't detected any Libertonian ships in the system, seems remaining forces used brains and haven't commited mass suicide.
