Elections - The Republic of Kusari - 02-03-2014

// Not as planned. Look at post 2. Now look at the section. You must role-play. In order to be able to vote, you must have a decently ancient Kusari lawful or semi-lawful character. You can make several characters of yours vote, as long as those characters exist since a month or two.

The Republic of Kusari announces that a new period of elections for the members of its constituent Parliament has begun. From this day (the Third day of February of the year 821A.S.) until the Tenth day of the same month, all Kusari citizens of legal age are free to cast their vote on this election, and contribute to achieve the well being and fair guidance that the Republic needs.

//We provide here two groups.
- Influential parties, that already have a say in Kusari politics. Those are the powerful political parties, represented in the Parliament.
- Minor parties. Those are lower scale parties, generally created by concerned citizens, and generally having no representation in the Parliament.

Each voter (// read character) is allowed ONE vote on a single party. We now present the eligible parties for voting :

Security : Kusari militaristic strength, Warrior Caste strength, position and honour
Society welfare : Strengthening Kusari economy in order to not rely too much on foreigners, restoring people obedience, ensuring wealth is shared between all the People of Kusari.

Imperial Alignment : 0.1 (-1.0 being pro-republican, and 1.0 being pro-emperor)

Main Issues : National Security, firm leadership, developing the economy and strengthening alliances.
Short Description : White Lotus is popular among former naval officers, mainly coming from Honshu and New Tokyo. They are known to take a relatively lease stance against the blood dragons, offering them to step down from their terrorist activities and being reintegrated into the republic, they do however condemn their actions against civilians and activists that are in the naval forces or the police won't hesitate to destroy their ships if they are caught doing harm to the republic.

The party does favours their own form of a constitutional monarchy, with a leader that has limited rights and is a strong militaristic and diplomatic figure holding mainly a formality rank, rather than the absolute control of the nation. The party's heads believe this solution will let both republicans and the less keen imperialists the ability to settle with one anther thus bringing an end to the current civil unrest.

In an effort to bring back the old ways, the Inari Shrine PAC has lobbied for official party status. Inari Shrine promotes industry, agriculture, rice, fertility, and foxes through the land, as well as putting the screws to Samura's fur farming operations sound economic and environmental management.
People's Party of Kusari

Imperial Alignment : People's Republic

Main Issues : Equal rights, elimination of corruption, a transition for Kusari to a Socialist State where everyone works together in a common interest. An elimination of the elite upper-class in favor of equalizing all into a prosperous middle-class.
Short Description : The People's Republic of Kusari is a small party which follows the ideology of Communism in order to bring equality to all and allow for a more united Kusari that takes care of the weak and poor.
Liberal Party of Kusari

Main Issues : Civil liberties, Laissez-faire, Equal rights, Reformation, Demonopolization

Main Issues : Rehabilitation of the Blood Dragons outlaws, greater social equality, Exploration and Development of the New systems, Greater state autonomy from keiretsu interests, creation of closer ties with GMG.
(Act as a lobby group of Blood dragon supporters inside the Republic.)

Imperial Alignment : Ambivalent 0.0

Main Issues : Expansionism, Military Society, Strong Government, Nationalization of Corporate Assets, Immediate resumption of hostilities with Gallia and Bretonia, Defense against Alien and Paranatural threats.
Short Description : The Greater Kusari Prosperity sphere is an Ultra-left wing party, and is a bastion of militarist and ultra-traditionalist thought. It promotes an adapted version of the ancient code of Bushido as it's ideology, and seeks to reform Kusari into a military state, for this is the proper way of things.

Those characters cannot be unlawful.
Those characters must be reasonably ancient. No character creation just for the purpose of voting.

"Seems like a farce to me," a short, bespectacled man muttered, as three veteran Hogosha looked over a small console in the back room. Employees only, usually. Of course, the Golden Star had enough of an investment in the location to have access as well.

"Most things do... but this time I think I agree," the middle of the three replied. "Doesn't matter. As long as Ame never attains any sort of power in Kusari whatsoever, we'll be fine. All options have their vulnerabilities; the dishonor of those who serve the invaders, the corruption inherent to Imperial Kusari, the desire for military strength above all else... all Hogosha syndicates have room to exploit any victor. Simply vote as you wish."

Mei sat in her room on the Kawanagareru. She looked at the new notice in a bit of confusion. "Election? I've never voted before. I wonder who I should pick". Mei sat in thought while trying to decide. Did she want to support civil rights, or reinstate the emperor? The Inari shrine seems like an alright party, but can they pull off the support? And what's an Ameparty? She sighed before decided, and casted a vote. She then crawled back to her bed. Hopefully this illness will pass soon.

Ayako was in her chair on the Wakkanai as it drifted through the Honshu system on patrol. She quickly glanced over her console when the elections notice popped up. She skimmed over all the information and quickly made a vote, decided that if the Inari Shrine helped her in the past, she can return the favor. "Kouta, check your console. Elections are here."

Kouta looked over to Ayako. "Elections? Why should I bother, it will be the same as it has been" "Damare and vote, at least humor them" Ayako snapped. Kouta sneered at Ayako before reading the notice. "Hah, Ameparty? That will be a laugh"
