Dear Ms. Ranes
I am referring to your request for a Cloaking Device Mk II advanced, also known as “large cloak” via the neural-net channel of Nichols Trade Center.
We indeed had many request for advanced equipment from Libertonians, both civil and military. However, most of these requests have been turned down, as we feared that the equipment will not be used in agreement with OSI policy and politics.
Consequently, I would like to know the legal status and main fields of business of the Vigilantes and what you would plan on using the cloak for.

We indeed have ordered one. I suppose the rise of orders for cloaks from Liberty has rised because of simply the fact that Liberty has stopped producing them. It might be because of the shortage on supplies, I am not sure and I am not the person to judge it.
You may be sure that the equipment will not be used wrongly. We are Vigilantes, not warmongers. We keep the Liberty house safe from pirates and smugglers without asking for anything in return. The exact purpose for this device is unknown to me, because I will not be the person using it, I was just given the task to acquire it with words that "it will be using for keeping secret what is supposed to be secret" and not much more. I can only suspect what the use for it will be, but I should not share this information with outsiders. The reasons, I'd imagine, are obvious.
As for the legal status of our organisation... it's somewhat difficult to judge. We aren't registered anywhere, and we're not an official corporation. 'There is no contract to sign, no oath to swear', to quote an artist. Most of the corporations that happen to have any business within Liberty are generally friendly to us since we usually offer free escorts, while the lawful entities aren't really concerned by our activity.
To summarize, our character is to protect the lanes of Liberty against pirates and keep them clear from smugglers. You may be sure that your equipment will be used in nothing but that.

Dear Ms. Ranes
My legal adviser reminded me, that both possession and use of cloaks requires special permits in liberty. Hence I'm assuming you have filled the required forms for usage of the cloaks, or do not plan on using the cloaks in violation of local jurisdiction.
However, aside from the legal procedures that Republic of Liberty makes you go trough for having a little fun, your plans for using the cloak seems to be in line with policy and politics of Omicron Supply Industries.
