extended battery bay - tommyt127 - 12-09-2014 bear with me on this one. sooo.... when shields were buffed (ages ago) shield batteries weren't the result is a large shield that uses more batteries larger ships = more equipment type 1 slots my suggestion: to go on equipment type 1 slots (not sure on complete figures as this would be balance related)
Light Extended Battery Module
adds 10-50 shield battery capacity power usage: medium cargo usage: low Medium Extended Battery Module adds 50-100 shield battery capacity power usage: medium cargo usage: medium Heavy Extended Battery Module adds 100-300 shield battery capacity power usage: high cargo usage: high they could be manufactured in a docking module factory, which could be renamed 'type 1 equipment factory' this would give the base owners something new to do the power and cargo usage stops people doubling up on buffs from high end gear (eg, cap8 cloaking double batteried gallic battleship) you'd have to take the power drain and cargo usage on the chin to get more batteries was thinking also of a nanobot alternative, but it seems harder to develop. EBMs would theoretically then drain power to charge extra batteries RE: extended battery bay - Emile - 12-09-2014 Hmm this would be a idea. Remove the bats and bots from transports (what i suggested here ) and give them the option to do this. I LIKE IT! |
