Encounter with SCRA forces in Omega-3

Guten Abend,

after Hauptkommissar Erika Keller left Agent Ohlendorf and me, we decided to do a rather unusual patrol through the Omega-3 system, upon arrival at Coombe Asteroid Field, Agent Ohlendorf and I were attacked by two SCRA ships. Each one picked a target, unfortunately Agent Ohlendorfs' ship was destroyed and I had to carry him back home to Rheinland where he got safe, a medical checkup just to be sure should be done though. So I had to fight both ships, to my own surprise I got both of them and returned with nothing but a scratch, details of the case below.

NEMP bomb in the hands of the Unioners

Leaving all kinds of formality away,

the known criminal "Jennifer Soma" might have saved the life of thousands of citizens and possibly spared us millions of credits. The Unioners have an NEMP bomb in their hands, I don't know how but they do, Frau Soma leaked this information in the Harzfeld today, we exchanged words and she came to the conclusion that it would be too dangerous even for the Unioners. Not only that, from her way of talking I saw potential for a law abiding person, let me clarify that her intention for the Unioners is nothing but the revenge for John Sader, admiral of the Liberty Navy and a sort of payment for the Unioners that saved her life.
If what she said is true, we might be able to get more intel about Unioner activities in Rheinland, we must stop them from activating this bomb.

Now for the Direktor, Herr Koch, Frau Soma is capable of leaking information for us, I'd put the whole responsiblity of her on me, let me try to get as much information as we can, however we need to ensure her safety for that matter too, she might have to defect from the Unioners should they know about the treachery. In this case I would make it my own duty to provide protectioin against the rest of the Unioners, we should not waste a possible spy here, if she is not complying with us she will get the same status as before, an enemy of the state, but at the moment we should set her under a security clearance, not public of course, apart from the BDM nobody should know about this.

Widerstands encounter paired with Unioners

Guten Tag, Agents,

a regular patrol in the Frankfurt system made me enter the Taunusfeld where I crossed the lines with a Widerstands ship, the whole encounter went without blood, it was political discussion but I found out that the VWA has big interests in the Westerwald cloud and what's in it, we should secure the area even more now. Frau Soma also appeared from somewhere and joined us, she scanned several areas, when the Widerstands vessel questioned it, the known cruiser "Abomination" also came along, upon the code sentence that Frau Soma gave us, I left the area unseen.

Slaves and Solarius

During a routine patrol of Stuttgart, I saw a trader in the lanes holding a bay full of slaves. I pursued them to the Omega-11 system, where I demanded they stop, however they went ahead and docked upon Solarius Station. Whether this was only as an escape from me, or if it was the slaves final destination, I am currently unsure, and I'm currently trying to investigate this. I will shortly submit a report to the criminal database to let the Federal Police now about this slaver.

Another spy

Guten Tag,

Agent Ohlendorf and me booth encountered the same VWA ship as before when I was alone, this time we gave said ship an ultimatum, either we get information or the ship gets destroyed, the Aktivist decided to give information about infected people in Rheinland for us, should she fail, immediate destruction.

Hogosha Smuggler

I decided to dust off my Fafnir bomber, and take it on a patrol through the Omega-7 system. Immediately after I jumped out of Stuttgart, I came across a Hogosha Smuggler, carrying a full cargo of Xeno Relics. I stopped them from entering Rheinland, and once they explained the Relics were bound for Liberty, I decided to let the pass, if they were to go through Bretonia, after paying a fine for attempting to pass them through Rheinland. They paid and then left for omega 3. Later, when I was patrolling New Berlin, I got a message from a member of the Military, who had intercepted a smuggler and was requesting assistance. When I caught up to them, I found it was the Hogosha who had attempted to bring the Relics in earlier. They tried to explain that they couldn't make it through Bretonia, but since they had brought the Relics into Rheinland, I couldn't let them go this time. They eventually dropped all of the Relics, and claimed to have no funds left to pay a fine, so I left them with a warning, given I had fined them earlier. Of final note, the Hogosha did seem to be suffering from Harris' Disease, so the logs are a bit garbage unfortunately.

Hessian Cruiser in New Berlin

Upon a call for help by the Polizei about a Hessian cruiser in New Berlin, I deployed the U-99 to deal with this, Detektiv Graff was just about to get attacked by the Hessian near Bonn, when I arrived, the cruiser tried to run into the Saarfeld where he collided with the Asteroids though and thus made it possible for us to catch up and destroy him without any losses, Agent Nachteule brought a bomber to this situation which really helped taking the cruiser out, the U-99 is back at Oder shipyard.

Xeno Relics Smugglers

Another patrol through Rheinland has found even more Xeno Relic Smugglers. This time it was a Corsair and a Junker. I chased down the Corsair first, they refused to drop the relics or be arrested, so they were shot down. Unfortunately, I was unable to retrieve their escape pod, as I rushed off to track down the Junker. I would assume however, the local Hessian and LWB patrols would make short work of them if they were to find the corsair.

The Junker proved much more elusive, given their headstart. Eventually, after convincing them that I had proof of their smuggling, I tried to make a deal with them. I offered to let them go without a fine and with an empty cargo, given that some information would find its way to me, through an untraceable source of course. After some inital wariness, they started talking. I'll refer you to the Logs for the specific details, although it seems the Corsairs are quite deep in the Artifact trade, dealing straight from their home planet "Crete". I'd suggest that we send a team to poke around and try to find this planet. Given that Corsair presence is at a record high in the Omicron-Xi system, I'd reccomend heading through one of the jump holes found in the system, while using the Military's frequent Operation in the system as a cover for several small vessels to slip past.

One last thing to note from conversing with the Junker is that there seems to be a freelancer "corporation" involved in smuggling Cardamine through or around Coronado to an unknown destination. While that is quite far from Rheinland space, stopping the flow of Cardamine into the houses is of importance to everyone, I'm sure, so an eye should be kept out for "Freelancer and Escorts" when and if they enter Rheinland.

Liberty warship escorted by a LV

Today in Frankfurt I stumbled upon a Liberty Navy logistic vessel that was carrying highly valuable and dangerous cargo. I stopped it and demanded it to drop the cargo, it did not comply, I was about to arrest it when an "Overlord"-class Liberty Battleship uncloaked 3k away from me, it was also carrying cargo.
It was mostly nomad remains, even very big ones, a nomad power cell and about 200 xeno artifacts, the so called "LNS-Warspite" did not comply in dropping it either, the logistic vessel gave the cargo to the Warspite which attempted to run from me, fortunately Frau Fischer was just there to assist me as well as many of the KGS. After several denials of compliance, the Warspite was being fired upon, it dropped the cargo just after its shield dropped, the cargo was given to the Kapitan Fischer and was brought to Schatten after the Warspite was escorted to Sigma-15, we have lost the logistic vessel though, it probably fled to Sigma-15 before. The cargo is completely secured and the fine of 40 million was paid.

More Xeno Relic Smugglers, Liberty Dreadnought

While on-route to help remove OSI ships from sigma-15, I came across a Liberty "Overlord"-class Dreadnought, just outside Mainz. The vessel's captain refused to stop, and docking on Mannheim Station. While gathering reinforcements, a freelance trader came by, carrying Alien Mutinitions. They were quite hesitant and took some time to comply. They dropped all of mutinitions, but refused to pay a fine and attacked me. They were quickly put down, after a few hits from my Fafnir bomber. As to how they got the Alien Mutinitions, they claimed to have gotten them off some bandits that tried to pirate them after disrupting the lanes, but couldn't provide any more information about their Identity nor proof.

Later on, when we again tried to get the OSI out of sigma-15, I found a smuggler moving Xeno Relics in a light fighter, they refused to drop the relics and managed to escape by cloaking their ship. I will adding them to the Criminal Registery shortly. Also of note is that they mentioned the Xeno Relics where destined for research in "Alaska", wherever that is. If someone is research Alien technology and remnants, it would be good to figure out where they are and how much they know.
