Nothing passive aggressive, no hidden meaning but what he said:

In quite some cases, trading IDs in Conn ended with the players unable to /return to their base of origin. (~10 ships yesterday when I was present).

As it can only be fixed by an Admin, it's not encouraged.

So, if we transfered the ID outside, can we safely go back to conn without getting stuck?
Also, we just tested the ID transfered outside of conn and so far, I didn't get stuck after ~10 /returns. but some people claim it's just random.

Try at your own risk but I think you would be fine if you transfered the ID and just equipped it after returning. Tried it with around ten ships from both Crimson Cross ID and Junker Congress IDs.

Another warning - donĀ“t sell your official IDs on PoBs openly unless access is faction only. System which prevents buying official ID by anyone except ships with this ID is not working there so anybody can buy it regardless of his ID and your official IDs may spread outside your faction members.
