As a result of the treasonous act just committed by our Secretary of Defense, Robert McKay, I have resigned my commission from the First Fleet. I will not serve under Fleet Admiral Charles DeFrance XI, the best friend of our worst enemy, Bretonia. He and Carina are bent on destroying Sirius together, and Liberty must not join their crusade.

Instead, I have formed an emergency fleet, 0FLT, and have secured the systems of Virginia, Alaska, and Minnesota. Fear not, President Powell is safe on Planet Columbia. I urge that citizens of this grand republic calmly depart from California, away from the Royal Navy and the Liberty Forces now controlled by the Gallic King.

Zero Fleet is also formed on the principle that First Fleet was not biased, nor elite enough. As such, all enlisted and commissioned ranks have been eliminated, leaving only flag positions. We will be over confident, and incredibly over paid. But I assure you, citizens of Liberty, that such is indeed worth the heavy price.

Tagged as *0FLT*- and primarily using capital warships, the rigid rank tree will be as follows:

1. High Command
   
2. Admiral of the Fleet: Leader, second only to His Royal Highness, the Right Honorable President Powell, Duke of Liberty, Earl of Curacao, and the Count of Hudson and Hamburger. Allowed to fly only Guardians. Current: David Hale
   
3. Fleet Admiral: Given to the best of the elite, they serve directly under the Admiral of the Fleet. Restricted to Liberty Navy strikecraft; cannot command any warship. Current: Rachel Baker, Rohj Teerin
   
4. Grand Admiral: Sufficiently snobbish. Restricted to Liberty Navy strikecraft; cannot command any warship. However, they may also utilize the Upholder Bomber if granted permission to do so. Current: Jack Malrone, Alan Polstari
   
   Middle Command
   
5. High Admiral: This noteworthy position is the lowest rank at which any strikecraft can be used; the Havoc Mk II Bomber. Current: Jane Hartman, Remus Sius, James Lambert
   
6. Admiral: At last, these members are full fledged Admirals. May utilize the full allotment of Liberty's warships, with authorization to command "Defiant" Liberty Gunboats. Current: Christina Robinson, Christopher Hood, Henri Lavalle
   
7. Vice Admiral: Worthy of somewhat less scorn, these admirals are given access to "Bison" Liberty Battletransports. Current: Ryan MacTavish, Galen Anderson, Michael Morse
   
8. Lieutenant Admiral: Tasked with managing the lower admirals, these fine men and women are allowed the honor of captaining an "Archer" Liberty Siege Cruiser. Current: Steven Hackett, Alexander Fuchs, Stephanie Gray
   
   Low Command
   
9. Rear Admiral: Now able to exercise some authority, these admirals have proven their capabilities of getting their rear in gear. May additionally operate "Interdictor" Liberty Assault Battlecruisers. Current: Lucia Defmir, Daler Mehndi
   
10. Counter Admiral: An intermediate rank, where they must do oodles of forum-work, in addition to having to spend hours in-game. Current: Roy Sanders, Jake Sanders
    
11. Divisional Admiral: A step above, but still petty, they are now permitted to command "Overlord" Liberty Dreadnoughts. Current: Ashley Waterson, Arthur Carlson
    
12. Flotilla Admiral: Lowest of the Admirals, they may only command "Atlantis" Liberty Assault Carriers. Current: Nathaniel Davies, John "Panties" Graham
    
    Cannon Fodder
    
13. Commodore: Recruited by special invite only, they must fly twelve hours in an Executioner Heavy Fighter before being promoted to Flotilla Admiral.

As an invite only fleet, only the best will be let in. Members are encouraged to attack small targets with maximum force and flee from large targets with cloaks and jump drives. In the defense of the Glorious House of Liberty, victory is worth any cost. We shall prevail.
