RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Corile - 04-12-2015 (04-08-2015, 05:15 AM)King Boo Wrote:(04-08-2015, 05:13 AM)Protégé Wrote: Speaking of Player Request I think it might be a good idea to have the posted thread visible to the person who posted it should the need to clarify some points arise. I'm pretty sure this is not possible in the base MyBB, however there should be plugins for it. I'm not entirely sure how the Admin procedures work as far as Player Requests are concerned, though that might not be the worst thing ever. I found this. http://community.mybb.com/post-867923.html RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Garrett Jax - 04-12-2015 The problem with allowing players to edit their Request posts, is that the Admins vote on these Player's Requests, as is. If a player were to edit their Requests during, or after the vote, it would create confusion and uncertainty with regard what was approved. If there is a need for clarification, simply make another Player Request and we will merge it with the original Request. RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Remnant - 04-12-2015 View, yes. We're okay with that. Edit further, no. There's no way to prevent this. That thread there that you've linked with instructions doesn't prevent people from editing regretfully. That's something which myBB doesn't have the functionality to remove editing rights for individual sections sadly without a plugin. RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Corile - 04-13-2015 There is a way however to store the edit history for example with this: http://mods.mybb.com/view/edit-history-log If that's not sufficient I will attempt to come up with something else, but I suppose that would be a useful moderation tool in its own right. RE: Admin Feedback Thread - 7AlphaOne1 - 04-14-2015 Well, you guys are awesome!!!!!!!!! (cheeriness goes down) But yeah, Aerelm seemed to be overworking a while ago........ Making a new request afterwards would just do fine? Or PM an admin/write one on skype about changing your post and notifying the others if your request is in vote currently. This would take -way- less time then the other way around as admins are splitting up this part of work since they could not do this with browsing the history... you know what I mean? RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Crackpunch - 04-15-2015 Why are admins who aren't around still holding positions as admins? RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Wildkins - 04-15-2015 (04-14-2015, 04:31 PM)Rebirth Wrote:(04-13-2015, 10:17 AM)Protégé Wrote: There is a way however to store the edit history for example with this: The point isn't to allow people to edit their own SRPs, but to be able to view them after they've posted them. The unfortunate side effect is that they can edit them, and Protege is attempting to offer a solution to that issue by allowing all edits to be logged to ensure there's no funny business happening with player requests and the like. I've been meaning to get to that. |
