How do I become friendlier to Corsairs? - Wombat1940 - 04-06-2015

4.87 Single Player mode: I'm trying to become friendlier with the CORSAIRS. I've paid the bribe, they've turned "green" and I've gone out on missions with them (as a novice Freelancer) targeting numerous OUTCASTS. But I'm still excluded from buying their ID Card. How else can I become friendlier? Thanks.

Keep doing missions for them until you reach close to full-green rep. If you already have it, check other bases to make sure that it isn't some forgotten guard ID.

You don't really need ID cards in SP anyways, as you can usually buy most of their tech with a few bribes.

I assume even when they show themselves ay "green" they are not "full-green". Also when I join them in a fire-fight, I'm joining as a freelancer neutral (I'm "white"). All that seems to do is turn the opposition "red". Ha! Maybe I have to accept Corsair missions from the bar.

What's a "guard ID"?

Yes ..... I understand that now. I was just hoping they would join me in my personal war against the WILD". See my thread here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=127767

Thanks again Tal, its all good fun.(happy)

1. Yes, green means friendly, but having a "full" green bar means you have access to all their tech. Shooting things hostile to Corsairs but neutral to you makes the neutral forces go red.

2. An old removed feature, I believe.

3. IDs are only really useful in outlining what can and cannot be done by faction members on the official RP server. They serve no purpose in SP, so you should go off the rep sheet instead. If you're green to Corsairs, they won't shoot you, but will only shoot their enemies.

Thanks Tal.
My secondary reason to befriend the CORSAIRS, was to buy one of their Dreadnoughts or Battleships. I've found a very safe way to earn money in fairly useful amounts. Up to $5m at a time. (But definitely not using cheats! ...... that spoils the RP ....... even in SP .....). I won't bore you with the details, but $240m saved is not out of the question. But I need to befriend the CORSAIRS first, so as to buy one of their Battleship. I'll keep working on it in-line with your suggests.
