The Sirens Bell - Remnant - 04-15-2015

The Sirens Bell. An oddity in space which floats around Sirius space with little care in the world. A safe haven to some, a reminder to others. The vessel was not the most impressive through an outside perspective, holding the exterior hold of a Corvo Deep Space Explorer the Siren can be considered a standard Zoner craft manned by Civilians.

While not being too far off the mark, the Corvo interior has been heavily modified through the years, making it quite the rarity when it comes to internal vessel structure. Restructured for the purpose of both comfort and utility, facilities have been added throughout the vessel in order to make it a more welcoming place. A haven for those who cannot make themselves comfortable in public. The original model did not make these changes very difficult, as the mere majority of the changes were expansion of rooms, and downsizing on the density. Meant to contain a smaller amount of people than the standard ship, the differences reflected such through the space which was available.

Bedrooms

Standard bedrooms in spacefaring vessels have never been anything to look forward to. Usually designed to make the most use of space rather than comfort outside of Liner class vessels, the owners of the Siren mainly for reasons of a certain individual have made it a point to improve the sleeping conditions as those who stayed on it, usually were there for long-term periods of time. Modified to be a little more cosmetically appealing.

Even so, this modification is merely considered minor compared to the larger picture of changes within the Sirens Bell. As a note from one of the occupants: "It lets me be lazy and be happy at the same time"

Cargo Bay

The cargo bay of the Sirens Bell is the second notable change of the vessel. At the price of cargo space, a portion of the wide space available has been changed to accommodate small craft for docking. The primary purpose used to allow the occupants to come and go while keeping their method of transportation available. The cargo bay has been reported to be sizable on the Corvo to begin with, thankfully leaving a decent amount of storage for the requirements such as food and water, while still being able to hold any luxury items.

Very often, the freespace in the bay is used for the purpose of satisfying the hobbies of the people within, usually encompassing a lot of mechanical parts.

Engineering Deck

The Engineering deck is one of the more heavily changed portions of the Bell. Upheld by Jessica Snow, the stock systems found on a Corvo have almost been completely removed and replaced with systems of either personal design, or costly systems obtained through the Zoners. The Engines on the vessel have been replaced with a mini-version of a Graviton engine. The only other working copy of this system is found on the Ingenuus. Using very little H-Fuel, the mostly theoretical system is able to continue propulsion system for a very long time without needing to restock any resources. The single downside to this system, is the materials that do need restocked, are rather expensive.

Used as a hangout for the engineer and mechanic a lot of the time, the top cover of the transformer has been used as a nesting area with comic books stacked all around for whenever boredom sets in. Not many others enter this area, as it was hot, loud, and was confusing to most.

Lab 001

The first lab which was setup on the interior of the Sirens Bell, was dedicated to the study of Xenobiology. While mainly serving as a hobby rather than serious research, while the equipment within was generally newer, it was by no means the top-of-the-line. The studies within this lab mainly encompass research and interest of Alien Organisms, mainly found in the Omicron sector of space.

As of late, the purpose of the Lab has been to teach the young child which can be found wandering around the Siren now and then, as schooling was not the most ideal situation. Resources has been dedicated for the understanding of both biology, and some chemistry through this lab, giving access to a few more pieces of technology that standard schools would not have.

Server Room

While most classes of vessels on this size does not require a server-room due to the issues on actually transferring the data on a server located on a mobile platform, the Sirens Bell has been outfitted with one anyways. The need of storing, encrypting and moving data to each of the people who found themselves working around the Bell finally has warranted one.

Used primarily as a place to store research data, the databanks located in the Bell also contains a large amount of information which is rather difficult to get your hands on. Only rumors of the few people who've heard of this portion of the vessel exist, leaving the main contents actually unknown. Upkeep being preformed by Rachel Snow, the server has been setup to send and receive data through what they liked to call 'A sketchy as heck connection through hyperspace, giving us pretty darn low download speeds'. Although the general consensus has been if it works, it works.

Tara Snow

Tara was born to a family on Planet Los Angeles to a medium class family. Her mother and father were both quite reasonable people. Her mother stayed at home most of the day, while her father was always out at work with Deep Space Engineering. Tara was raised just like any other children would be, being sent to school at age five. Tara did quite well during her first years in school, however once she reached sixth grade she failed out.

Quote:"I don't want to learn stupid stuff which I won't use when I grow up!" -- Tara Snow, age 12

Tara instead began studying on her own at home, despite her parents constant pleads to actually go back to school like any other girl would do. Tara finally honored her parents wishes at age 14, and returned back to sixth grade. However, the young girl managed to pass a test which she specially requested from the administration of her school, the end of year tenth grade test. She passed that test with a 97% accuracy on the subjects of space, and the technology that people began using for their vessels, including the basic inner workings of quite a few spacial objects.

Tara was moved up at age 15 to grade 11. A high school, being the youngest person in the grade. However, she once again spent quite a bit of her time in class on other subjects not pertaining to what was being taught up front. Splitting the singular atom didn't really interest her like the other kids were learning, instead she sat in the back and read books on the massive engines and hull construction of the Battleships ran by the various navies. Subjects which were quite in-depth, yet had little practical use as a child. Tara proceeded to scrape by in class with almost failing grades, eventually graduating high school a few years earlier than her normal class of students. The bi-product of this however, was that her mind was filled with quite a few complicated subjects. Yet she lacked the basics, and still does to this day.

Moving Out

Tara had the option of going to college, however she eventually decided that it wasn't what she was called to do. Class was boring to her. She much preferred to learn things on her own through resources that could be found on the Neural Net, or by talking to other people. Her relations with other people however were not really the best to begin with once she left school. She constantly found herself in a bad habit of watching other people and the way they talked, instead of talking herself. This drew a line between her and others, drawing them away from her. At first, it didn't bother her too much, however eventually it indeed started to have an effect on her. Loneliness.

Tara took out a 'loan' of all things and bought a small Ravens Talon to begin traveling through space, wanting nothing to do of being tied to a planets surface. On her forth week of flying around Sirius looking for something to do which could hopefully bring in some sort of income, she met a woman by the name of Rin Hayashi. Rin introduced herself to Tara out of nowhere, being quite the extremely social person that she is. The two eventually became close friends as Tara didn't really have anyone else to talk to at the time being. Rin mentioned that she had a friend named Anna McCarthy up in the Taus who may be able to offer some work if she really needed it, and that was precisely the opportunity that she took.

She once again made quick friends with Anna McCarthy, and took up work with the IMG that was offered to her. She remained quite happy around the two of them, eventually taking notice in what Anna did in her spare time. Tara first noticed when Anna decided to invite her over to her room on Java to take a look at something that she found out, after making Tara promise not to tell anyone else what it was about. After visiting her, she discovered that Anna McCarthy was looking into Nomadic materials. The strange 'aliens' that Tara had only heard stories about.

Shortly after that single night, Tara began to get an interest with the enigmas herself. They were not understood by the world currently, and the Order even went as far as to discourage those who decide to pursue the research on their own, due to the threat of Not understanding what you are getting into.

Despite this, she never believed the Orders claims of the Nomads being Evil. She didn't believe it, and she pledged not to until she found evidence showing that they are truly evil beings herself.

Working on a purpose

A single year passes, and Tara then decides to head out into Space once more away from the IMG and Tau's. Heading into Omicron space to pursue her own interest of the Nomadic beings. Despite her moving away, she kept close contact with Rin Hayashi, still feeling quite attached to her first friend in space.

Having saved up a few credits from her time with the IMG, Tara bought a Spatial Deep Space Explorer to house some equipment that she had put together for her. This included a upgraded computer system, with the extra space she was going to need, as well as a fitted sensor system which was much better than the stock model that came with the vessel itself. During her time at the Omicrons, she did just that.

She spent a year in that end of space, getting back in contact with Rin now and then, while staying at the Freeport in Delta where she rented a room for quite some time. Tara however soon left the area after discovering some data, due to some news she heard from Rin. Anna McCarthy has gone missing.

Rin was completely distraught, searching as hard as she could to find her friend, yet nothing turned up. The woman went into depression quickly after, not even Tara was able to cheer her up, in fact she pushed Tara away as she saw her trying to help her as a bother. Rin quickly went down the wrong path and was taken in by a group of people. Rin went missing for three months merely a week after Anna went missing herself.

The Ultimate Currency

With Rin gone, Tara eventually came to the conclusion that perhaps it would be better if she tried to meet some other people around Sirius. However she honestly didn't have any intention of making friends. She wanted the ability to get things done. She desired it greatly. She wanted to be able to do as she pleased as her aspirations began to pick up.

Spending some time back in Liberty, she by accident met a man named Jacob Wells. He was caught in a tight situation in space with some Liberty Rogues, as it seems they wanted to get him quite badly. Tara managed to ward off the Rogues to defend the man, by faking that the Navy was merely a few thousand meters away, and could easily fly in with cruise speed. A warning that they had better leave. Of course, this was a lie. However it worked.

Jacob was quite pleased with the turn of events, and rewarded Tara with some credits for her help, as well as a Neural Net address to contact him if she needed something in the future. After the man had left, Tara soon began to realize that what he had given her was perhaps the most important currency to her. Not credits. But favors.

Jessica Snow

Jessica at birth, had always been somewhat a little clingy. Born with two other sisters in the family, despite being the oldest she always seemed to have the desire to hold on to her precious little sisters. Her parents found the drive a little amusing, however didn't say anything at the time to her. If it kept Jessica happy, what did they have to argue with. As the years went by, her interests began budding. From age twelve, Jessica already had a very big interest in the objects around her. This of course including the transverse of space, as well as the technology ships required to actually run efficiency in a way to fly through the large void above the planets sky. Her parents not being people who worked on things as indepth such as that, was not able to give her all of the answers for the questions the girl continuously asked. In result of this lack of answers, the curious girl turned to the Neural Net to get the answers that she desired.

Becoming a little more distant, Jessica spent most of her high-school years behind a computer monitor, studying public blueprints, released theories, diving even into the world of physics. She wasn't very interested in school. Her grades were average, mainly due to her lack of completion for homework. After all, she believed she had better things to be looking at besides some stupid math formulas which she never was going to use again in her life. At least so she thought.

She seemed to rub off on her second youngest sister, Rachel. Rachel almost idolized Jessica's drive, and started to follow suit.

Jessica attended college, under the major of Engineering, but quickly came to the realization that she did not like being taught. She however much preferred to learn on her own.

The Dangers of Space

Upon graduation, Jessica immediately went for a temporary job to start saving up some credits. She didn't want to be stuck on the planets surface anymore, and desired to actually be up in the sky. After half a year as a ship technician for repairs, she saved enough credits for a Ravens Talon. A small memento of her youngest sister, Tara who had already left the planet.

Her attitude while in space however, proved slightly problematic. Jessica was never one to discern friend from foe, nor did she care. Being laid back enough already as it was, her attitude to the Lawful forces, in this case the Liberty Navy, was identical to the one with the Liberty Rogues. The complete opposite of what one may expect. This caused some confusion between both the Liberty Navy, and the Rogues. Thinking she was affiliated with the other, leading to some slight trouble in the future. The first method of force was used by both ends to solve this confusion, which Jessica had managed to escape from with the general conclusion of a neutral force after a large amount of dispute. The ability to come and go as she pleases, much like the Freelancers of space. It excited her. Jessica quickly began to fall in love with the ability to do as she pleases, with however she pleases. While this was merely limited to Liberty space currently, one day visiting a Rogue base in a nebula cloud, and the next to visit a Navy base was almost as an excitement to her.

The only restraint? Credits. Eventually deciding that it was time to begin working again, Jessica began looking for opportunities to put her skills to work.

Dangers of space? Funny. With the right attitude, there wasn't a danger. Of course you have to put up with the people.

Katherine Snow

//Played by Katherine Snow

A young girl, born to the average family on the Manhattan's surface, living on the border of the city. She was really happy and trying to enjoy her life as much as she could, even if she was a normal girl without a special things and with normal friends, normal house, normal clothes. School, this part of her happy life was quite boring in her childhood. She prefered practice over theory, not going to learn anything unless it had a use in real life, however everything has changed when she turned 15 and her parents signed her up into LSF program. She was ready for her first mission at the age of 18, when she had to eliminate one male, who started to be annoying with his knowledge about LSF and Government itself. When she turned 19 she had to do a mission with another LSF agent, however mission has been aborted due to a death of her friend in the field and injuries caused by bomb. She's bearing it well in her memory and her health reminds her everything. She's mute now.

Michaela Sandera, Fleet Admiral and Leader of Taskforce Warhammer, her friend, found her life pod near Willard Research station in California. Nobody knows why... Why was she drifting in cold space, deeps inside ice field. Nobody knows how long she was in space. Michaela and her wing brought her to Vespucci, home system of Hellfire Legion and system full of history and rich background. Kat had to spend few days in the Leniex' hospital and Michaela spent almost all of her free time with her untill she woke up from coma. Katherine had no clue where she was and why she was there, however with a smile she takes out her datapad and starts to type something. Two days later she walked into the Lockdown bar, she was really nervous and afraid of people there and if they will accept her with her shady LSF past. Everything was alright and she met kind and funny people, Legionnaires and members of the Hellfire Legion, but also people who loved to visit a Lockdown and people there, so called friends of Warhammer. Her thoughts were wrong however, they all accepted her quickly, even with her handicap. She spent a lot of her free time in the bar with people like Jacob, Michi, Reese, Persephone, Jackie, Andrew, Astraea, Kole, Rika and whoever else. They liked her and she liked them.

Another day in the bar. The Lockdown was always full, but this time Kat was the first one in there, at last she thought it. Astraea and Aeron, two high ranked officers were sleeping on the couch, placed at the wall of The Lockdown. Kat tried to avoid them and slowly took a seat near the bar table, however she couldn't help herself and tried to find something to drink. After a while she was drinking her milk, not paying attention to others, not even Jack who just walked out of the dark corner, going to refill his glass with orange juice. They were sitting together 'chatting' about past, food, lifes, shortly about everything untill Kat decided to show him something special. Her research work.

ld job. Even if she was officialy in love with Jack Snow, she couldn't get rid of her old job. Mercenary, she always liked this job, though it was kinda dangerous for her, but nothing could prevent her from doing so. Gaian Valez Junior, first target for Katherine and her old Eagle. 24 hours later she met Valez deep inside of Ice field in Manchester system not so far from Gaian base. Poor guy had another Freelancer sitting in Gunboat behind his bottom, so Katherine used her chance and tried to assassinate Valez. 5 minutes later, Valez flew into Planet Atmosphere with damaged ship and Katherine could claim this kill. 7,500,000 Sirian Credits.

Katherine later spent sometime in the core systems of Gallia where she got a job of Engineer and Researcher for Solar Engineering and Innovations. Maintaining Trade Lane rings, preparing new research stuff. At least untill they called her back to Hellfire Legion, where she got a new rank, Fleet Admiral and Chief-Engineer. She's working on upgraded version of Prosecutor class fighter, repairs of ships including Arbiters and trying to solve a problem of the Serpent Maximus, the Xeno Alliance beauty aka Stork Advanced train.

Ivy Snow (Adopted in)

Ivy was born on October 14th, in the year 809 A.S. Born into a hospital on planet Los Angeles to a small family of two. Her mother and father were not the most wealthy people on the planet, in fact, they lived in poverty for most of their life. Having a child was a struggle to carry as they could merely manage to survive for a few years. Almost immediately after she was born, she was sent with regret to an orphanage. At the age of eight, Ivy was put up for adoption. This was a large blow upon the young girl, as she was still learning of everything around her, a change of the circumstances she was going through was almost a little too much for the girl. Constantly living in depression, she mostly warded away everyone who came to take a look at her with the sad looks she gave everyone, which merely drove her down deeper.

On November 18th, 817 A.S. a traveler who went by the name of Tara Snow was passing through the city on some business, when she came across the agency which she was signed up on after seeing something on the Neural Net. After some internal debate, this newcomer eventually decided to take in the young girl.

Ivy was perhaps a little more excited than she should be, and found herself right at home with Tara.

Ivy absolutely loved her adopted mother. Granted, it was under rather strange circumstances in which she lived, although it didn't bother the girl a bit. She eventually became very clingy, due to lack of friends, and parents beforehand. She wanted to stick with what she had, and that's what she did. Their home was in a Zoner Corvo, which was halfway functional if that. Most of the systems wired down to autonomous systems, the weapons disabled completely, and the navigation dumbed down slightly with some custom programming done by Tara. Ivy however, didn't mind this in the slightest. Getting a room with a large window to the outside, one of her favorite things to say at the time, was merely "The space makes up for it.."

The one thing that even she found strange however, was her job. She immediately recognized that Tara was a very smart individual, who even goes out of her way now and then to teach Ivy things that take her quite a while to understand, although when she's not working with a researching group, she heads to an area in the Omicrons where she has infrequent meetings with some people that Ivy isn't introduced to.

Eventually, curiosity started to get a little too much for the young girl. She loved traveling around with Tara, although she always wanted to learn something more. These people that she wasn't allowed to see became a little too much.

One day, she attempted eavesdropping on the people as they talked to her mother, yet during this process she accidentally stumbled and alerted them to her presence. However, to her delight, she was invited in by the stranger.

A woman was with Tara, looking at the young girl expectantly. After introductions, she learned that this newcomers name was "Izumi", without a last name, although the thought never crossed her mind.

Izumi immediately become someone Ivy looked up to, all the girl could see was kindness. Tara on the other hand, looked almost hostile wheneverIzumi would talk to Ivy, although that as well was waved away as imagining things.

Aelita Stone

//Played by @Shizune

Born in the early 790’s; Aelita Stone, also commonly called just Stone, lived a peaceful life, learning how to do everything by the books. Stone was never one for failures; she was always cross with herself or another person if she saw them and this was one of her many down falls. While Stone rarely speaks of her past, it is known that most of it has scared her for life, giving her; her own goal in life. She fell in line with the Order and acted as one of the many agents there, many saying she was brainwashed into working for them, some just that she was there for a debt. Whatever the reason; she fell in line with them for a long time, becoming one of the top non-command agents around in the fleet.

Overload

Stone remained in the Order for the longest part of her life. Doing hit and runs, attacking targets, defending VIP’s and all other sorts of things the normal agent did. She fell in line with another group, several as time went on. Coming and going, drifting here and there till it all got the better of her. She became wanted and ran, running back to the only place that made her feel safe…the Order…but her mind had other options on this…chaos. While she followed her parents way of life still, she still followed the path a Discordian would take. Bring chaos to people in many forms…It got the better of her, and eventually those that trusted her, turned against her, baring her from the Order, she turned to Jessica, who she begged for a place to stay…

Time Bomb

Staying with the Snows on the Bell, Stone fell in line with many people there, doing small things here and there, and helping out whoever she could there. Stone told the Snows the same, even if asked or demanded…she was not a soldier, and she’d fight for only what she believed was right…and normally, it was up to Jessica to direct her. One thing was clear…Stone has derailed her path she wanted a long time ago…and it was only a matter of time before that path was back on track again.

Rachel Snow

Born on Febuary 3rd, Rachel is the second yongest member of the Snow family.
Even at a young age, it was painfully apparent that this child would grow up into something scientifically minded. Always asking questions. What's that? What's this? How does that work? The parents of Rachel were at a loss eventually as their daughter was trying to figure out things which even they didn't know much about. Everything ranging from how refridgerators work at a young age, all the way to asking how the sheilds on the old family vessel operated.
Rachel is the only female who went through college as a late-teen, attending the University of California with a degree in Physics. While she didn't immeditally go for a job, she did find a lot of work with Jessica, who was an engineer. Through the few years that she graduated college, she moved onto the Sirens Bell, a vessel which had been bought by Tara and Jessica, finding peace in her life. She always had been one who was rather close to her family even at a young age, in love with her brother and sisters. The life after the educational period wasn't very much different.

When the trouble began, Rachel was one of the first to calm down and accept everything that had happened. While Tara was protecting the adopted daughter into the family with all of her might, Rachel stepped in and did her best to relieve some of the tention, knowing full well that her life was going to change a little because of it. Rachel after exposed to the new surroundings of the Bell, in her interest began to work on Alien material, finding the concepts outworldly to the point where it shouldn't make sense, however it did operate within the world very well. Dedicating the next few years of her life working on technology such as Cloaking devices, as well as modification to engines and power systems using the Nomadic artifacts which have been picked up over Sirius and given to them to overlook by Izumi or other former 'unwanted occupants'.

Later, she joined the Ingenuus Research Group as a co-founder, and began work on a Nomad Power Cell with the conversion properties it required to become a functioning core which would sustain a vessel. Many scientific creations later, Ingenuus was then invited in by the Liberty Security Force to begin some study on the Valhalla One. Even finding peace in her interests after the big change, Rachel continues to strive to sate her own curiosity, while hopefully being able to work on some big projects to keep her funds up.

Serving as one of the primary sources of income for the Sirens Bell, Rachel is seen as one of the kindest people aboard. Always willing to spend time with her family, including Ivy.

Jack Snow

Jack is the second oldest of the Snow family, born only a year after Rachel was. Being the only male of the family besides his father, Jack took up the role of the protective big brother while growing up. Being very fond of his sisters, he always made sure to look after them as they grew into the oddities which they are now. This never changed after his sibilings started to gather back together under a single vessel, happily agreeing to stay with them and live out his life.

Having gone through college with mathematics as a major, Jack excels in running calculations in his head, allowing him to work very closely to Jessica and Rachel when they are working on their own projects. Often being asked by them to give them some results, which he happily completes for them. He did not have a source of income for a long time, which changed later when he was offered to do a lot of the behind-the-scenes work on the Sirens Bell.

Later on in life, he married Katherine and made her a Snow. Fathering twins only a little while after. Spending time aboard either working on some strategies, running some calculations, or taking care of his wife and kids. While it may seem like a streneous lifestyle, Jack has really gotten fond of how he lives. Taking pride that his family was functioning well, beleving that he had a major part in it. He wasn't very wrong on that matter either.

Izumi Usagi

Deceased
Izumi is considered to be the root of all the Snows problems. Izumi while being obviously Kusarian in ethnicity, has spent little to no time in Kusari as a whole. While she will not reveal much about her childhood before she became involved in a less than desirable group, she doesn't seem to care very much if asked about anything past her change.

Izumi putting things bluntly, is infected. Having spent a lot of her life on a station called the Altair Research Complex, she's worked her way around with half a mind, slowly increasing her duties over time. While she didn't fully have a choice in the matter with something in her head controlling her movements, her mind on it's own began to warp slowly, beginning to enjoy everything that she's done. A once kind being has been warped into a merciless strategist.

After five years of a pretense on Altiar, Izumi eventually took up the position of Overseer of the Specters. Tasked to watch over the sect of humans which weren't exactly infected which could be controlled directly, but those who have had their mind changed on a physiological level to do the Nomads will. Seeing potential in a small group of humans, Izumi left Altair and gave them a deal which they couldn't turn down. Moving to the Sirens Bell in order to keep a closer watch on them, her presence is still a little sporadic as she travels back and forth now and then to work with other people.

Her personality is rather odd, seeming to behave with multiple personalities. One of them merely being more curious than the other, however both of them seem rather scheming. It's hard to tell who people are talking to. If it was the human talking, the nomad talking, or in reality if it was merely the nomad the entire time.

Violet Stryker

- Former Occupant -
//Played by @Deeceem

Early Days

Violet or - as she prefers it - ''"Vi... just Vi!"'' was born august 9th 802 A.S. on Freeport 4 in Magellan. Her father (William) was a technician on the freeport, while her mother (Janine) was an unhappy and unsuccessful actress.
At the age of 3 her mother decided to leave her family to chase her dream to become a famous actress. She left with a rich businessman she met on Planet Curacao while working there as a barkeeper in one of the many luxury baths.
William always told Violet her mother went to Planet Manhattan, but she never saw her again since then. People say that's the reason why she is seen in the Orbit around Planet Manhattan quite frequently, but maybe she's just there to pester one of the many passing traders for a job or to mock the authorities...

Childhood

Violet was tutored by her father himself.
Even if she seemed to have quite some smarts, she rather spent her time in using those to cause all kinds of trouble on the station: disturbing the administration, crawling through funnels or stealing sweets from one of the docked ships in the cargo bay - you name it.
Being overworked, William never got or regained control over her and still tried to be as good as a father as he could, which turned out in spoiling Vi and she learned early to take advantage of her fathers wrongdoing.

Barrier Gate Station, shortly after being put into full operation.Around 808 A.S. Violet's father got hired by the IMG on Freeport 4 to help a freelancer named "George Tinsley" to construct the Barrier Gate Station in Coronado. Not completly knowing what this station even was about he decided to take the job based on the high payment offered to him.
Vi basically lived on a construction site for about a year until the Barrier Gate Station was habitable for her, her father and the other workers - she still is grossly proud to be one of the people who "built" the station.
As time went on she and William stayed there. He was working hard to provide Vi with as much as possible, while she was once again causing - and this time also getting into - all kinds of trouble.
Once put into operation, the station also got flooded with all kinds of shady people: murderers, pirates, drug runners, terrorists, racketeers, kidnappers, mercenaries, sex workers and the list goes on...

Teenager

Vi started to get into fights - mostly with children from the local prostitutes. The main reason was getting mocked for not having a mother, while she responded something mean about their mothers' profession. The results were bruises, bleeding noses, sprains and even sometimes fractures for the young girl. So, she spent most of her time alone.

That was the time, when she also discovered her fascination with singing - sitting alone in her room creating silly and insulting lyrics about the other kids, while consuming Synthetic Marijuana or alcohol.

''"Probably a stupid legacy of "moms" artsy-fartsy side..."''.

When she realised she couldn't win most of those fights because of her physique, she advanced to framing the other kids. For instance stealing drugs and placing them in their rooms just before giving the "victims" a tip for some cash.
Even though there is nothing specific known, she might also got into some serious trouble with a group of Outcasts, as a result of failing at one of her "coups"...

While growing up to a beautiful young woman, she learned about basically every illegal practice out there from observing and listening to the locals in the bars, docks and cargo bays out of the shadows (or funnels). She even started to practice some of them herself: blackmailing, scamming, stealing, muling and so far and so forth.

The young thug got in a heavy argument with her father about her way of life, while she blamed him for everything. In the end it resulted in Vi's runaway as a stowaway on a freighter heading to Java Station in Tau 23. There she stole a basic Raven's Talon and took off into space.

Past (820 A.S. - 821 A.S)
The seventeen years old layabout made her ship untraceable as stolen and invested a little fortune in equipping it with the best of the best from the black markets across Sirius. Violet made this money by using her skills in the only "professions" she learned about in her life and as an escort for all kinds of traders.
She was also working on her "career" as a musician. "Vi and the Un-Liberties" was released, but unfortunately didn't sell that well...

Drifting around, she met and worked with a wide variety of people. Her work mostly consisted out of simple escort jobs, scouting and smuggling operations, but none of her relations with other people or groups was of long continuance due to Violet's difficult to get along with persona and/or her unreliability/lack of skill.

During her usual "mocking-routine" around Planet Manhattan she met Mark Locust. Violet happened to escort him and his transport on a few occasions to Kusari and Bretonia.
This loose business relationship between those two then expanded to smuggling Artifacts into Libertonian space.

One day Vi received a call from her new "friend", which was the opening to her unfortunate fate. Rachel, later to be known as Tara Snow to the young thug, forced the singer to join her cause by threatening her life. This meant to work for the Nomads.
It led to the young woman being part of assassination missions and having to destroy a research station.
Being stuck in this situation Vi complied. But even if she was afraid, her bratty attitude, her unwilling spirit and lack of skill required for those tasks - being more of a burden than an addition to the group she was forced into - made the Nomads reconsider, if they had actual use for her and ultimately they came to the conclusion that she might be of more use as a host for a Nomad Incubus.
Izumi Usagi, a mysterious leader of the human servants of the Nomads, forcefully inserted a seed into her, which very soon should become the dominating personality in her body, having full control over her whenever it wants to, to fullfill the Nomads' will.

Violet Stryker, observing Kusarian troop movements in the orbit of Planet New Tokyo.Speaking about personalities: thankfully(?) Ivy, a younger girl who was also part of this "cell", was able to convince the Nomad Incubus, which soon should be known to them as "Anymra", to preserve Violet's mind - for now...

This callous new being went on a few missions with this group, studying them and humanity in general to learn to blend into human society for future tasks. After that she left the group to fly with other Infectees in Kusari and its surrounding systems for a short period of time until her new task was to visit and stay on Planet New Tokyo to observe the elections and military ship movements as well as influencing people and events for the Nomads.
During this time Violet's mind was struggling inside against her new owner.

Present (821 A.S.)
Recently the infected hull left Planet New Tokyo to observe other places, to gather more knowledge and maybe even to meet up with her old "friends" Mark Locust and Tara Snow to fulfill its purpose...

Personality

Violet is arrogant and likes to talk smack to pretty much everyone she wants. Vi also likes attention, be it the positive or the negative kind. Despite the fact not being the most intelligent person in Sirius she's quite cunning. If Violet has a goal, she goes pretty much every way she needs to reach it - be it criminal, legal or anything between. Although the criminal way is most likely, because Vi prefers to cut corners whenever possible and she's just more familiar with it. Since Violet has no obligations to anyone, she's pretty much on the side which offers her the most benefits. Even though it might not appear like it, Vi is actually - most of the time - quite calculating in what she does and says, always focused on her own advantage and needs. Overall a very annoying and conceited "brat". Based on her past she has an aversion for planets and feels much better being in space or on space stations.

The infection occasionally leads to her being more obedient to avoid getting "herself" into dangerous trouble.

Her parasite's "personality" is unknown yet.

Psychological Evaluation

Vi suffers from a strong "NPD" (narcissistic personality disorder)], mostly characterized by symptoms of the compensatory narcissist subtype.

RE: The Sirens Bell - Remnant - 05-14-2015

The Sirens Bell has been heavily modified throughout it's years of use by the Snows. As mentioned in the documentation above, many of the rooms have been changed to give a more homey living condition, rather than a standard vessel which was built for effectiveness rather than comfort.

In the lower decks of the vessel however, there is a large section which is locked off to the normal visitors. Only two people have access to the behind-the-scenes section, both being Jessica Snow, and Rachel Snow. Working on a lot of the pieces together in order to hopefully secure the safety of the vessel, due to the nature in which it operates under.

Powercore Containment + Generation / Core Room

The Sirens Bell requires a very large amount of energy. A lot of the systems require a larger power-draw than usual, while the fuel costs would be too much for the Snows to bear. Thanks to some loose involvement in the Ingenuus, the documentation on how to manage a Power Core has been made available to the Snows, thus opening up the possibility of using a Nomad Cell in order to generate the power that's required.

While a lot of the tech is already finished, the requirement to keep the system low-key enough where it wouldn't show up on peoples sensors was the largest concern. The Sirens Bell operated in all of the areas of Sirius. They couldn't go around as a huge blip on the radar, it would cause too much trouble for the users of the vessel.

Containment taken by definition, is holding all emissions within a designated space. Due to research from the Ingenuus, it was discovered that Nomad Cells emitted a special kind of radiation. By default, everything that was emitted from the core, was radiated outwards. Nothing was made from direct contact. That was the concept in which the Ingenuus was able to complete their energy siphon system. By using disposable bots to hover around the surface of the core, redirecting all of the energy downwards to a focal point to be collected.

The Sirens Bell, not being as wealthy as an entire group was forced to improvise in the containment system. Requiring the encasing of the core, the regulation rods which controlled the output of the system were inserted in at a hex pattern on both sides of the core. The top, and the bottom. The focal point instead of being created by replaceable bots, was done by a frame using some nomadic material used in creating the trade-lanes. Again, due to the affiliation of the inhabitants, the Nomads granted the request in order for their goals to be continued through the human proxies. (More information elsewhere - Returning to subject)

Power is then routed directly through wires, rather than being captured from the radiated source.

Now that the energy was captured, it was required that the system was contained where the other radiations did not escape the vessel, giving off the scan-able data that a power core resided within the vessel.

The method of using absorbents came into play. Azurite was a funny substance. (Information located externally on Azurite) - Especially when it came to absorbing. In a gas form, when applied to plasma, it tends to retain any agitation energy. In liquid form however, Azurite acts as a great absorbent for radiation. Any radiation that came into touch with Azurite, was nullified and began to charge the Azurite fluid. Acting as almost a battery, there was a simple electrolysis method which could jolt the Azurite into releasing the energy. The released energy is picked up by some diodes, and pushed into the Sirens Bells energy system.

This fluid is pumped into the walls. The core room being a special area which was shaped with hollow walls for this absorbent. The required ports for draining and adding more fluid were located on the south side in case any emergency came up where it needed to be replaced.

Cloaking Tech

Due to the nature in which the inhabitants of the Bell operate in, requiring secrecy, the Sirens Bell has been a constant subject for abuse by the Engineer and Physicist with the goal of hiding the vessel in mind if it ever required such. The necessity of being able to hide the vessel away, without as Jessica says.. 'Triggering every goddang sensor and flagging system within entirety of the Omicrons, alerting everyone on their dogs that we have something shady as a powersource aboard', there has been a requirement of creating a system which was able to operate on a more human standard, thus bypassing the painting of the Sirens Bell as a sketchy subject. Due to Rachel Snows involvement in the Ingenuus Research Group, there has been a large amount of documentation and calculations which have been processed elsewhere, speeding up the creation of a system on the Bell. Information such as the generation method, the required materials, and the general schematics in what a device to hide a vessel which deviates from the standard cloaking technology which has been worked on by the masses.

The issue with cloaking technology as a standard right now, is that it's powered by forcibly creating an energy field. This creates a lot of trouble, and sucks up a ton of power. This requiring an external generator, as well as a larger fuel supply. The concept which was kept in mind for the Sirens Bell, was to negate fuel as a requirement, and build up a system which would use something else. Sadly, that object would have to be of Nomad Origin.

Documentation of the Nomad Power Cell and the containment system can be found within it's own section above.

The concept to the Sirens cloaking system was relatively straightforward. Since there was already a very steady stream of energy coming in (See Energy Generation Above) - Running it through a system to create the EM waves to hide the vessel from sight is almost common technology. Instead of blocking together a singular generator, the Snows employed a system which spread it through a distance. A single tube running through the center of a system. Turbines layering the outside, while metamaterials on the inside begin to start warping the EM wave which is being concentrated through the central system.

Once the EM wave is done being agitated, it's then thrown through a projection system, which emits it over the surface of the Sirens Bell. An analogy which is used well to explain the effect that this produces.. 'Imagine a creek. Flowing at a slow pace. Now imagine a small stone in the creek. Just at the surface. The water still flows around the rock, but since it doesn't have any jagged edges and is complete smooth, the water just flows around it. Undisturbed.' Light and radio waves merely warp around the vessel like it wasn't even there, not reflecting back to the user who is looking. Creating a cloaking system. Very similar to how the Nomads cloak.

This method takes an astronomical amount of power, which is why the energy generation method is different and hard to reproduce. (See energy generation section above) - The cloak while it can be active for large periods of time, must undergo a recharging sequence. If this wasn't to happen, the equipment would start to self-destruct.

Azurite

Azurite is the key material used in power generation. Originally found in space near strange Nomad structures, Azurite appears to be something which the Nomads themselves use often in their structures. Named Azurite due to an original thought of being related to copper, this was later dis-proven due to the odd traits that it has.

One of the largest uses of Azurite is the odd effect it has on plasma. Plasma is usually something which doesn't interact with much. In the medium to low temperature ranges however, Azurite can be sublimated and exposed to the plasma, infusing and eliminating Azurite as a solo substance. This new form of plasma while it operates very close to the same in comparison with standard plasma, does not want to sit still. Beginning to move around very quickly. Even when forces are applied to attempt to stop the plasma movement, the Azurite which was infused with the plasma dissipates from the structure and retains the movement. If a constant supply of the sublimated rock is given to the plasma, the plasma will not stop it's rotational movement.

Another peculiar trait of plasma infused with Azurite, is the fact that the plasma doesn't like to dissipate. Until the Azurite is gone, the plasma does not like to fade away and merge with the surrounding air. This concept can be used to create a new type of generation system. Plasma likes to generate heat. While the plasma does not dissipate and uses the physical matter of the infused Azurite to stay as it is. Turning this into mechanical, then electrical energy is not the most difficult thing, as energy conversion through nuclear devises are starting to get more and more advanced. Plasma itself is finding itself in a large use, due to how most engines run these days.

This energy generation method can be regulated through the speed of the agitation that the plasma is undergoing. The method which the plasma directly influences the energy output is through the magnetic properties of the plasma being generated by the system in the first place. As it has magnetism, creating a system where there are magnetic coils around the outside of the main 'tube' will create some energy once Azurite starts to agitate and cause the plasma to bunch together, and begin spinning around in the system. Moderate the speed of rotation, you moderate the power which is coming out.

This technology is still experimental, and has some failures. Yet Azurite does appear to have potential in the science world.

Current Use

Azurite currently is not used in the form described above. Due to the Nomad Power core itself, Azurite was used in a different innovative way. The key to the Sirens Bell, was the requirement that the core was hidden. The radiation that it emits from the system needed to be hidden, so other people would not be able to detect it.

While Azurite reacted strangely with plasma, it also does such with other things when exposed to it. While in a sublimated gas form, it reacts to plasma. While in a cooled liquid form, Azurite likes to work with radiation. As the liquid form captures radiation better than a gas would, Azurite seems to attempt something similar to what it does to the plasma. Latch on. If there is more Azurite than radiation, the radiation is absorbed and stored.

Methodology in how this can be used is described above in the powercore section.

This acts both as a (very) small power source, as well as the ability to retain any emissions coming from the powercore away from the outside space. Acting as a containment system when filled into the walls surrounding the powercore room.

RE: The Sirens Bell - Remnant - 01-20-2016

Many people once they encounter the occupants of the Bell, find it difficult to discern what these people actually are aiming for. There is limited information available on how the Snows operate, however the others who are aboard is a little harder to get readings for.

There have been many recorded contact with these people. The one word which people like to describe them as first, is 'laid back' - Despite carrying an odd prescience due to the technology running on the Bell, these people do not seem to care of it very much. Being heavily discussion-based over anything else, the Snows appear to delightfully begin asking questions once they are given the opportunity. Curious at first glance, the experience may change depending on which of the four owners that you encounter in space.

These people appear to have sort of goal that they are working for. Working loosely with the Nomads in the past, it appears that this fact has changed in an almost violent fashion to the sheer opposite of what it used to be. An attitude shift more or less bringing them to the complete opposite direction in which they worked in before. While this work does not appear to dominate their lives, there does seem to be some hate brewing towards the race within the occupants. Regretfully, there is little documentation available on the reason for this change. It's recommended that if you ever find out, that you these archives are updated in turn.

Much like the documentation of Tara Snow, everyone aboard appears to work for favors, rather than currency. Seeming to have a steady supply of credits from Rachel's work at Ingenuus, the desire of creating good relations between other people seems to be substituted in when possible. It's been known that the adopted child, Ivy has a big influence on this. Being someone that the adults want to prove themselves as good people to, rather than anything. Their goal does not seem to be invasive. Their own personal happiness takes large priority in their lives. Being both a strength in assuring that very happiness, and a weakness. A potential spot which they can be hit, damaging the morale around the Bell.

More about the child, the occupants of the ship seem to think very highly of Ivy. Each of them attempting to do their part in an attempt to help raise her to become someone of their vision. This vision being someone who is smart enough to deal with the issues around her, resolving them in a peaceful way. There seems to have emphasis on not lashing out physically, be that in the form of gunfire, or fists in an attempt to get their way. Instead, they like to take a stance of mental warfare if anything. Using manipulation as their method of fighting.

As a warning, these people will be friendly to anyone they encounter. Believing in a system of 'friend, until proven otherwise' - As long as people take heed to this, and do not make any unnecessary trouble, there isn't very much to worry about in terms of not trusting the occupants of the bell.
You've been warned however, that these occupants do not like being played around with. If someone becomes marked as a person who carries the wrong attitude when meeting those who do not have any ill will towards their person, they do have a tendency to make things difficult for the offender.

RE: The Sirens Bell - Remnant - 02-12-2016

The majority of the occupants of the Bell are educated individuals. Each having their own skillsets, and abilities. Below is a compiled list - Using the data that we have been able to find publicly.

Tara Snow

Tara, being the youngest of the newest generation of Snows, has pursued the path of the medical sciences.
Holding a number of certificates and a degree (listed below) as a doctor, this individual has proven her ability over multiple instances to do emergency medical work in a good fashion, much to her own dislike about actually using the practice.

  1. College Graduate - Medical Science Degree (general) M.M
  2. Skilled in biological study
  3. Proficiency in basic surgery
  4. Nursing certificate(s)
  5. Biochemistry Degree (Minor)
  6. Hand-to-Hand combat training (Little)

Jessica Snow

Jessica has always been a rather sporadic person when compared to the rest of the Snow family. - Unlike the other three who went through college, Jessica quit out after the second year in favor of working more with people instead. Never earning a proper job title, primarily Jessica handled different types of Freelancer work, generally under the mediation realm of jobs. She's been described by some who have seen both sides of the woman, as incredibly manipulative. Although despite having such an ugly label on her, when around friends and family, she is generally seen to act extremely childish.

  1. Strong situational awareness, and demonstrates the ability to read people's mood rather accurately
  2. Skilled in working with equipment dealing with highly energetic forces. (Plasma, etc.)
  3. Apprentice Tactician skills

Katherine Snow

Katherine, even if her parents "sold" her to Liberty Security Force, managed to graduate on planet Denver at the age of 19. Files about her past were removed or in the worse case corrupted by LSF due to fatal mission failure and fact she was recruited by the Hellfire Legion. Intensive LSF training helped her gain important close and long range combat, Reconnaissance and first AID/Medical skills.
A. College Graduate - Marine/Naval Engineering (general)
B. Warship Command
C. Reconnaissance skill
D. Hand-to-Hand combat (minor)
E. Long Range combat (general)
F. First AID certificate
