RE: EIDO Network Communications Uplink - A/)- The Inner Phalanx - 09-13-2016

This is an official notice from the Inner Phalanx.

The Battleship Arktos has since completed its final refit and re-entered service under the command of Curator Endurance and its First Officer Paladin Yancy Ganes. In addition, the Battleship Andraste has returned from its much needed repairs and joined the remainder of the fleet in its current holding pattern.

The final stages of construction on Ataraxia are nearly complete. Automated anti-ship batteries and defenses are currently offline, as is the shield generator. Botany equipment has yet to arrive. Personnel from the Sovereign that were not re-assigned to the Andraste or Arktos have been transferred planet-side to begin preparations for the reception of the City Ship population. The Titania II may later see a refit as a Mobile Base Platform.

The following rank adjustments have been made:

- Paladin Inge Wexler has been given the title of Star, due to her unparalleled dedication to the fleet and its safety, and unwavering stance in the face of insurmountable odds. She is now known as Star Paladin Inge Wexler.

The following roster adjustments have been made:

- Guardian Orlando Spiteri was expelled in accordance to a diplomatic fault. He may re-apply for his position in the future.

- Paladin Maverick O'Howell has stepped down from his position in command of the Arktos officially and has entered retirement. We wish him well in his twilight years.

- Guardian Noah Xonnel had left us some time ago, and has since decided that he has no intention of returning. We wish him well in his chosen path.

Lastly, due to the increasing size of the fleet and our forces, as well as the addition of the Andraste, we have surpassed the ability to be identified as a simple Battlegroup, and thus that title has been dropped from our name. We are Auxesia, and we will stand proud with our title.

Slightly delayed report due to some networking issues, but all of it should be resolved now.

The PRIME AI were successfully escorted to the Kansas system, Wichita, and the requested information was forwarded to them in the relevant channel. They have ferried down the artifacts that were classified as active, enabling us to continue on the investigation concerning telepathic and psychic influences on Humans. Some test subjects are still required for the experiments. Beyond that, we hope for a fruitful cooperation with the Gammuians as we now slowly begin to collaborate.

(Subject: After-Action Report - New York

Bonjour.

Reporting in the engagement in New York. I'd joined up with Sentinels Marshal and Savoy flying Arae wing, who were engaged with a duo of Marduk-classed Nomads accompanied by an Irra. They were on scene alongside a Liberty Navy pilot, identified as Ryan Dagnino, and we were soon joined by Initiate Dubois. The fight was long and drawn out, consisting mostly of long ranged shots of supernova cannons to take them down bit by bit. Killing them with bug bites. Initiate Dubois had to make an emergency departure during the fight, however, and was forced to leave.

Things got rather heated when a somewhat dull Rogue Scylla wandered into the fray, paying no mind to the large aliens tearing it's home apart. Not long before, we were joined by a Junker Congressman, who stood back mainly to provide what I can only assume was color commentary. He was taken out by stray shots from the Nomads' weapons, but his pod was recovered. The Rogue on the other hand proved to be more of a pain than any form of aid. He'd eventually open fire on our wings, in an attempt to avenge a pilot he believed was 'killed'.

A time had gone by before the first of the large Nomads went down, falling prey to the guns of the Navy pilot. He continued to aid until he was eventually taken down by the other large Nomad, but it was made sure his pod was recovered and returned to the Navy in one piece. Eventually, Sentinel Marshal was forced to depart as well, sending word to the Curator to bring in heavy arms to finish off the final Nomad 'warship'. The Irra had fled beforehand, leaving it's ally alone to our guns.

The Arktos arrived not long after the Sentinel had departed, and bore down on the blue monster with every weapon she had. The Nomad, having suffered the firepower of myself and Sentinel Savoy, as well as Sentinel Marshal beforehand, succumbed to the guns of the dreadnought, and thus we were left to mop up the Rogue. He proved to be a nuisance, and an honest waste of time to put out of action, so the Arktos was pulled in again to remove it, and did just that. The engagement was over, and no Auxesian units were lost. Pilot Dagnino, to my knowledge, is in care on Manhattan, as well as the Junker. A fine day and a solid display.

This concludes my report.

To the stars and beyond,
Tristan Fresnel, Templar.

Reporting to a call of silent ships in Tau-23 which were thought to be destroyed. Multiple houses involved. There were Bretonian Gunboats, Junker fighters, Liberty Cruisers and even a Dreadnought, all flown by infectees. And ultimately a whole barrage of nomad ships showed up. From mere Labraids to Marduks, they all gathered.
We tried our best keeping the IMG safe and managed to keep casualties at a low level, but alas the environment was less than helpful. My bomber didn't manage to perform well between all those asteroids floating about. Either way, my ship got damaged and the guncams were almost completely destroyed. I did manage to save the blackbox data though.
That's about all. Amanda Kensington - Out.

Thirtieth of the Nineth, Eight-Twenty-two,

We initiated sector and scan patrol through Liberty and the Independant Worlds, detecting... something odd, to put it bluntly.

Unknown vessels started pouring after us, intercepting us but mysteriously disappearing shortly after, most likely an effect of cloaking devices. It was extremely fortunate that we lost them in Kepler. Perhaps this was an illusion on our radar systems from a singular Nomad we saw earlier, who knows.

Continuing the patrol, the Wraith ran into a contact on the lanes, disabling it temporarily to investigate it. We managed to discover that this was actually a Junker smuggler who was hauling Artifacts, most likely to the highest bidder.

They attempted to bribe me, but failed in doing such, as by leading example, I am not a person of scumbaggery, and neither should anyone. By ceasing his pathetic attempts, we may have just saved some more people and disallowed the cretinous Corsairs to profit. The pilot made a foolish choice of taunting us and our competence.

Should anyone catch them, cease them and give them exactly seven seconds to make a choice, to pay for their greed with death, or to hand over the Artifacts to us. It was only fortunate for them to sacrifice their goods this time around.

Shortly after that incident, an Outcast war vessel by the callsign of NC-MNS-Ancona~V was detected by Arae One, which had opened fire on the Arae. Vessel was identified as a RM-2A Storta, lacking any... standard armaments.

[Image: XDatACu.png][Image: lmOtjQS.png]

Suffice to say, the vessel was obliterated. Although, A Lane Hacker stupidly decided to engage our vessel, protecting the degenerate and destroyed the Arae. Concerning neutrality, keep enforcing it as this incident may be a one off scenario of insubordiance. Thankfully, we were able to retrieve the pod, due to the Wraith pulling out safely from combat away from a Scylla - the Rogue wasn't our focus and the Libertonian patrols were hindering the targetting systems.

Thirtieth of the Nineth, Eight-Twenty-two,

I went around on a late night stroll, mostly seeking for things to humor myself wi-Oh... Allow me to re-word that.

...

I was seeking entertainme-, Nonono... Hrrrmm. Words...

Ahem, I was looking for something to laugh at that night - There we go!

My flight path concluded touring around Kusari and the Taus, finding nothing of massive interest during those hours. Patrol was resumed back in Liberty for any foreign elements or things of interest. My senses piqued when I saw two racers, who seemed to be running away from me as they entered the lane to Los Angeles, then turned around trying to escape me. It only stiffled a giggle within me. Predictably, I went to the California Minor to Magellan link in the system, finding them there. I decided to enact out what their nightmares portray me as, a Hunter out for them. Pfffheheh.

As they were worth of monetary and entertainment value, I sought out to engage the largest vessel present - the Marauder. An interesting flight pattern had formed while I was observing them. They deemed to be fleeting - abandoning each other, lacking the guts to return fire. It almost makes you wonder if they actually had any form of culture or codes to honor. Fascinating.

Either way, it was deemed useless to continue on the chase as the pilot was /infested/ with ionstorm interference. Two Libertonian War vessels came in to assist the Racer, engaging us. The ships were identified as [LN]-LNS-Tijuana and CAPT.Maxwell - who both opened fire on me and the newly arrived Saracen One.

Tired of the typical attire of the Liberty Navy, we show them how wasteful they truly were, calling the Andraste to the scenario. Of course, they were silly enough to loiter around, still attempting to chase me.

Heheh. Anyhow - Mistakes were made, prices paid, retribution fulfilled. They fell. Notably, a Nomad appeared during the scenario, which seemed to be observing for the most part, until the very last bit. It unfortunately escaped after we dealt with the Naval vessels. All in all, we managed to gather some scrap and materials from the wreckages.

Patrol resumed after receiving what appeared to be a distress call coming from Puerto Rico, but... we arrived there to find out there was no one calling for distress. Weird. We queried the locals for the status of the sector.

Everything was fine, they say, 'Blaaarglh! Nomads!' they shout down my eardrums.

Me and Tantalus pressed on to investigate, trying to locate this newly found Nomad in Texas. We quickly checked the station and found nothing of interest - well, until we started hearing voices, then it went interesting. A Nammu revealed itself, which was quite the mistake.

There may or may not have been technical issues that allowed it to cruise away. Fortunately, we found it again in the Badlands of New York. Naturally, we opened fire. But due to... some more technical issues with the Disruptors, it escaped while on it's last legs.

What a lucky blue chump.

Beyond setting out a hunting team to gather materials from the Omicrons - which was successful, this pretty much concludes the day.

Fifth of the Tenth, Eight-Twenty-two,

Recently, upon my private travels within the Omicrons, I have recently discovered an interesting object of interest. An Order Outpost. Said Outpost was located in Omicron Lost, near the planetary core remains in the eastern asteroid fields, off the grid. It's easy to speculate that the Order were highly interested in exploiting the resources of the Iridium Ore deposit as a mining freighter was caught harvesting it.

I believe this is a critical moment to strike and get retribution for what the Order think they can get away with. As such, I'm ordering the Andraste along with several wings to make their way up to Omicron Kappa. From there, we can slowly begin to investigate the Omicrons and to gather samples with far more relative ease. Paladin Tantalus under the observation of Venator Spitz will lead the Battlegroup Aglaea - who shall operate within the Omicrons, setting up the foundation for our operations in that region. Meanwhile, the rest of the home forces will be within Battlegroup Eirene, First Fleet of Auxesia. For now, I will reside in the Omicrons to attempt to bring some stability in the region. Spitz and Tantalus will also partake within the investigations of the Apahanta. Meanwhile, Curator will take care of First Battlegroup Eirene within the Independant Worlds - clearing up the Gaian presence.

As for the Order's structure, I already managed to gain some form of contact with the Core, allowing us to take full advantage of the situation to set up in the Omicrons whilst they are moderately distracted by the base. Of course, we can present ourselves there to give a good reminder to the Order who to not mess with. But, there's a few conditions from now on about the Core.

A no fire pact is in issue with mutual enemies are within sight of the two vessels in conflict - Auxesia and Core - the agreement is to defeat the enemies, allowing each of our vessels to retreat upon destruction of the hostile vessels. After destroying enemies, no blowing each other up. These hostiles include: The Order, Corsairs and Outcasts. This should hopefully reserve some resources instead of wasting it.

Another incident was where I found myself inbetween a minor fight, an FL-ER vessel, who were already suspicious due to them trepassing around the Shrine - except this vessel had samples of Artifacts and Azurite samples. I questioned him about it, but weirdly, he just dropped it. I was within the process of starting to describe how his actions cause the attention of the Nomads to turn to him but, some Nomad decided to attack me while I was investigating the scenario at the same time, forcing me to eliminate it. Unfortunately, the pilot had retreated and moored. I believe they may attempt to extract more Azurite as they sacrificed it. Please cease them from their silliness, their actions are so careless that they're only going to cause more harm than good. 'Curiosity killed the cat'.

These FL-ER pilots just seem to be rather weird to me, most likely because of their inability to fight, whilst trying to get their hands involved with the Nomads. Keep a vigiliant eye on them, report anything suspicious, and stop them from making vital mistakes.

Stay vigilant.

Minor update concerning Battlegroup Aglaea, we've recently been permitted to reside within the Gammu Ice Field in Omicron Kappa, on the condition that we keep away at least 10k from Planet Gammu. The only time that vessels are permitted to enter the restricted airspace is when they're defending.

Beyond that, there are some small minor no fire announcements to be made:

The following vessels under the name of certain individuals are to be treated with neutrality and not to be fired upon unless in defence. Do not mention about these non-hostility pacts.

Jack Daniels of the Core, and his following ships: Core|Wraith, Stingray, Shields, Warpig, Battleshark or any other vessels affiliated to Daniels.

Commander Saris of the Order Secondary Fleet, of the vessel RV-Kebechet.

That is all. Stay sharp.

Bonjour.

Today, I joined the Curator and Keeper on a flight to Texas, where we first encountered a Lane Hacker speaking to a Junker Congressman named 'Snell'. Once they were done, Monsieur Hunt followed the Hacker, while Mademoiselle Raven and I remained in Texas to ask the Congressmen some questions.

The log from my black box is as follows.

The Andraste has been settling into its mission into Kappa quite well, with the Gammuian AI being rather good hosts to our men. Today one of their cruisers led me and the Predator into Tohoku, with word of a Tokugawa snooping around the region, we caught him near the KNF's heavier installations in Tohoku before he quickly moored and evaded us. While we remain on a neutral footing with Kusari the Predator did grab scans of the cargo hold of the Tokugawa, now being put into our databases. This situation will continue to be monitered by the rest of the Battlegroup in the region and we will certainly have a 'much better' exchange next time we see this vessel.

<<1

Our second matter is slightly more serious, and involves an Order agent... something I should have been expecting bringing the Andraste back to this region of space. We approached the vessel simply enough... with the Gammu AI and Predator approaching it, We didn't know it had an EM disruptor.

This little Resheph instantly shocked me, much more than the crew I have now, since they aren't order deserters captaining their old ship. There's a bit of relief in me since this vessel is on neutral standing with Auxesia, and isn't your everyday bend-over to the Grand Admiral, but I'm still on edge about them for now. I plan to contact them personally at some point since we're back in orbit of Gammu now, with Venator Spitz... 'taking care' of a few Wilde we apprehended today in our hold.

It's time we take the Andraste's presence in the Omicrons a bit more seriously as well... Anyday someone like Admiral Hunter, Golanski, or anyone else thats loyal to the Primary Fleet could come upon us, and will be on Auxesia in an instant with blood on their mind.

On that note, I return to my post, I will submit another report once we fulfill our operation with the Apahanta, find any new resource notes in Delta, or make any progress with the Gammuians

Paladin Tantalus
