The chosen diversion will be an assault on the California system by Battlegroup Limay. We expect heavy resistance as Liberty will certainly recall some of its fleet to defend California. Should Battlegroup Limay stay alive and supplied, the High Command may consider extending operations in Liberty.

I cleaned the thread so both events would be the displayed in the correct order before other posts.
There are no specific rule modifications aside of what has been stated in green as of now. This is a first so it's quite trial and error right now.
It also does not mean camping the NY gate with Valors, the combat area is the surroundings of San Diego. A map will be posted in this post later today.

How does this interact with the transport rules exactly? If GRN ID'd combat ships catch an LN ID'd transport ship filled to the brim with marines, can they just open up with some engagement RP (muh points) or do they have to give the transport (despite partaking in the event) a demand and as such a chance to bail out?
I'm aware that I'm probably a bit out of the loop so if this is elaborated on somewhere already, oops.
The reason I'm posting this is that there seems to be some confusion already. An indie opened fire on an LN transport carrying marines earlier with regular engagement notices, and then realized he might not be able to do so, and let the guy go while asking if what he did was allowed. I wasn't able to answer which is a bit inconvenient.
