Punishment Admendment - St.Denis - 07-24-2016

Please note that the Server Punishment for First Offence has been altered from:

Quote:1st Offense - Ship will be Bastilled until you post in the Appeal Thread. If your Appeal is successful, your Ship will be released. After an unsuccessful Second Appeal it will, automatically, get deleted. If no Appeal is forthcoming, after a month, it will also get deleted.

To:

Quote:1st Offense - Ship will be Bastilled until you post in the Appeal Thread. If your Appeal is successful, your Ship will be released. After an unsuccessful Second Appeal, then the punishment will be decided upon by the Admins. This will depend on the severity of the Offence, it may include the loss of money, equipment or even the deletion of the Ship. If no Appeal is forthcoming, after a month, it will also get deleted.

This should give some flexibility in the Punishments for first time Offenders.

More flexibility is always a good thing. Thank you Goodmins!

RE: Punishment Admendment - NoMe - 07-24-2016

not too bad, like it the offenders have the time to make a choice!

Good call.

RE: Punishment Admendment - sindroms - 07-24-2016

It seems as though this has been made with vets being sanctioned in mind. When the player is simply too embarrassed to come forward. This, perhaps, is not so much as an issue anymore as the new sanction threads note the name of the forum account the character belongs to, rather than the character name. So from a members point of view, this change does not really change things too much. Unless you can explain this to us regular peeps a bit more - what does this change in practice. Otherwise right now the main response to this announcement is a sold "...um..ok." judging by the amount of comments in this thread and the many more comments in skype chats.

No, it had nothing to do with anyone in particular.

The original, stated that your Ship was deleted upon an unsuccessful Appeal. It therefore didn't matter the severity of the Offence, your Ship got deleted. It also didn't matter what your Ship was, ie. CAP Ship or Fighter, it was to be deleted.

Now, we will use our judgement, based on the severity of the Offence, and delete the Ship, on the first Offence, as a last resort. So, loss of money, guns etc will be the usual punishment. This, I think, allows for the first Offence to be more balance towards the severity of the Offence plus the Ship in question.

just for fun, the marauders are a real offense, but it's not the question!

yes syndrom, nothing is changed, but the offenders are adviced, it is *risky*

by example, i have showed 3 girls slaved, i have been banned!

there are some childs here, we can't joke with them!
