Bloody Fist [ Coalition RP ] - Tabris - 07-31-2016

Volgograd's Domed cities glistened in the dying light, New Moscow's capital was now entering it's night cycle for the Kremlin Dome. A time where one could admire the beauty of the city and the star-lit Volgograd skies beyond the glass domes. However not many would be enjoying the sights, the Kremlin itself was hosting a meeting of the Revolutionary Army's finest leaders and experts to discuss matters of great import to the People's Republic and the continued war effort against both the Houses and other threats to the small Nation in the Omegas.

Among the group of ten or so Military officials and specialists stood the Premier himself, the room they were in was in the sub-levels of the Kremlin Building itself, iron walls protecting them as the men and women gathered around the Holo-Table which displayed an image of New Moscow and it's surrounding systems where even now Coalition assets pushed against both the Houses and the Corsair Empire's legions. Premier Warner's eyes was unflinching as he listened, his mind focused on the matters at hand.

"It was quite the blessing that the Fes Battlegroup withdrew into Poole, now they can be Bretonia's problem while we deal with the enemy at our backs in both Cayman and the Core in New Beijing. With them gone it's a mere matter of flying to take what is the Republic's!" General Zhukov gleefully crowed as he pointed out the latest tactical data from the Omega-49 Protectorate which had the lion's share of the Corsairs withdrawing into Poole to raid Bretonia's riches and to lick their wounds that the Triumvirate's forces had inflicted upon it. Zhukov was a bald stout man whose shorter height was made up for with muscle that could easily match many of the Coalition's strongest Marines.

To Zhukov's right was a middle-aged Rheinlander, Colonel Ludwig Richthofen, a relative of the famed Captain Richthofen who had served in the Fighter Corps years ago before his demise, shook his head as he frowned deeply at Zhukov's zeal.

"Your enthusiasm is...Good...However I do not believe it will be as easy as you think it would be to take control of the Republic's Wargoals. We are fighting an entrenched foe who has had plenty of time to prepare for our arrival in Cayman, not to mention we are still fighting the rear-guard of the Fes Battlegroup in Omega-49, you would have to be a fool to think it will be as easy as knocking on the door and demanding their tea." the Rheinlander commented, folding his arms over his chest as Zhukov glowered at the man. Premier Warner scoffed and finally raised his own voice.

"You both make good arguments, and while I appreciate your...Enthusiasm in this endeavour General Zhukov I must remind you that the system of Cayman is a high priority, I do not want our resources squandered in pointless assaults on Cayman like you did with the 4th Recon Squadron...We do not merely wish to take the system Comrades, we want to secure it to ensure we have breathing room to re-configure our forces for the Long Push. The Kaliningrad Battlegroup is to be reassigned to Operation Hurricane as soon as they are fully restocked, the McIntosh Battlegroup will remain in Omega-49 to secure the rear-guard."

He received hestitant nods from both Zhukov and Richthofen as they stood stiffly at attention, Warner turned his gaze from the holographic image of Cayman towards Zhukov.

"General Zhukov, you are to bring me Cayman on a plate. Do I make myself perfectly clear?"

The man, now starting to sweat nervously, his eyes darting to Warner's cybernetic arm briefly as he nodded once more. Smiling slightly in an attempt to conceal just how frightened he was, this was the man who held his very life in his hands...Zhukov knew that it would be best not to fail him.

"Perfectly clear sir...

RE: Bloody Fist [ Coalition RP ] - Tabris - 12-26-2016

Months had passed since that initial meeting, the Coalition was still preparing for it's invasion of Cayman and the station of Shadowhaven orbiting Braillia. Braillia, now a sterile world due to the bumbling of the former Reapers of Sirius who previously attempted to 'seed' the world with a Cardamine Bomb instead rendered it more dangerous than even JiangXi in New Moscow. General Zhukov pondered the defenses laid before him on the Holo-table which displayed the latest maps and tactical data collected by scouts in Cayman, now known as Kiev in the Coalition due to their recent Anti-House policies. He had been pondering how to crack the nut that is Kiev ever-since he received his direct order from the Premier.

The Fuen Lebrada, a Dreadnought that stood in their path at the Omega-49 Jumphole was preventing their advance along with it's complement of Space Superiority Fighters in the form of 'Lich' Very Heavy Fighters. Operation Hurricane could not continue onto Shadowhaven without removing this obstacle in the path. The Kaliningrad Battlegroup could take on the Ravager head-on, that much was true, but they would take many casualties without a firm plan in place to neutralize the advantages the Dreadnought gave the locals. Zhukov sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, he had been agonizing over battleplans for months on end with little in the way of a break. But he couldn't stop now, that would give that damned Rheinlander Richthofen the satisfaction of seeing him laid low. Something he was eager to avoid at all costs.

Thankfully the Fes Battlegroup had retreated almost fully into Poole and started to raid the Bretonians, giving the McIntosh Battlegroup some much needed breathing space and allowed the Kaliningrad Battlegroup to mobilize unmolested and start gathering equipment and manpower for Operation Hurricane. He also heard rumours from his friend at Mykolaiv that the new Battlecruiser that had been in development would likely make it's debut in Operation Hurricane to help punch through the Fuen Lebrada's defenses. However he could not plan on the prototypes being ready by the time the Battlegroup was mobilized, the more time they gave the Reaper Remnants to dig in, the harder it would be to take the system from the enemy in the long run, costing them men and equipment that could be better used elsewhere...

He clasped his hands behind his back as he took a deep breath, he was the only one in the CIC at the moment which was good. He planned better when he was by himself without some idiot nattering in his ear... He could not afford another mistake like he did with the 4th Recon Squadron, when the Premier called him out on that it had been humiliating! No...He would plan carefully and prove to the rest of the Army High Command that he was deserving of his rank! Perhaps even get the chance to rub Richthofen's face in the fact he had proven him wrong... That thought made him smile slightly...Oh how satisfying that would be! To see his smug Rheinlander face turn sour at his victory, he would have to remember to take a Video Log of that moment to post on the Neural Net to rub salt into the wound!.

The new year would be a year of change for both Zhukov and the Coalition, he could feel it in his bones, the Coalition had begun it's expansion in the last year and had begun to launch their counter-attack against the Corsair Empire and now preparing in full to bring Kiev into the fold. This time in two years he wouldn't be shocked if the Coalition's troops alongside their allies marched on Omicron Gamma.

With a shake of his head he brought his attention back towards the map, staring down the Fuen Lebrada's symbol with a baleful glare, this...tin-pot battleship stood between the Coalition and it's destiny...It would be the first to feel the wrath of the Resurgent Coalition...All he needed was time and the resources...
