In service of the Peuple!

It appears even if we have seen enough disgusting moves from the nobility there are still new dirty tricks they can surprise us with. This time a few of the brave pilots of the Council had to witness a member of the DeFrance family using wounded soldiers as human shield during an encounter from last week Saturday evening. Despite the attempt to disguise themselves as an ambulance ship, the true purpose of the vessel - a luxury yacht for an aristocrat - was still evident enough.

Despite the claims of the Royalist media, the Council pilots had no intention to harm the wounded at all, although they did not want to let the noble flee without consequences either. Aiming for a middle ground, they demanded the two dozen healthy Royalist Guards in exchange for safe passage, but Mademoiselle DeFrance and her ship's crew did not comply.

[19.11.823 20:59:17] [C]-Louis:Charron: It's carrying a lot of wounded personnel, or so it appears
[19.11.823 20:59:29] [C]-Louis:Charron: Triage identifiers on the scan manifest
[19.11.823 21:00:11] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: This ship will be on its way.
[19.11.823 21:00:23] [C]-Louis:Charron: But also carrying armed personnel
[19.11.823 21:00:41] [C]-Louis:Charron: Which we have a problem with
[19.11.823 21:00:57] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: Your interruptions will cost lives.
[19.11.823 21:01:04] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: Is that really what you want, terrorist?
[19.11.823 21:01:04] [C]-Louis:Charron: Your stalling will too
[19.11.823 21:01:23] [C]-Louis:Charron: Surrender them ASAP then
[19.11.823 21:01:31] [C]-Bombardier.01: To show you how generous we are to the people of Gallia and how much we care of the wounded
[19.11.823 21:01:43] [C]-Bombardier.01: We let you carry those to the nearest hospital.
[19.11.823 21:01:50] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: You two speak different tales.
[19.11.823 21:01:52] [C]-Bombardier.01: Without those marines on board of course.
[19.11.823 21:02:20] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: They are there to make sure terrorists like you do not board the ship and leave alive.
[19.11.823 21:02:23] [C]-Louis:Charron: If you don't move them, we will
[19.11.823 21:03:07] [C]-Bombardier.01: You can make sure we won't board your ship by not giving us a reason to and voluntarily handing over those marines.
[19.11.823 21:03:23] [C]-Louis:Charron: You're stalling too much with that speech if you really cared about it
[19.11.823 21:04:52] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: We are not here to argue with terrorists, especially with lives at stake.
[19.11.823 21:05:21] [C]-Bombardier.01: We aren't here to argue either, but to take those two dozen marines. The sooner that happens, the sooner the wounded get their
[19.11.823 21:05:23] [C]-Bombardier.01: treatment
[19.11.823 21:05:26] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: Ridding ourselves of our guards? You're insane.

Courteous as they are, in order to reach a compromise as fast as possible, the Councilmen halved the demand, but the obstinacy of the royalty apparently does not know limits and they seemingly found the personal guards of a DeFrance to be more important than a thousand injured veterans they were supposed to be responsible for.

[19.11.2016 21:08:28] [C]-Bombardier.01: What is evident is that your kind likes to argue about pointless things instead of complying.
[19.11.823 21:08:36] [C]-Bombardier.01: While lives are at stake.
[19.11.823 21:08:46] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: The lives are at stake because it is -you- who are holding guns against them.
[19.11.823 21:09:09] [C]-Louis:Charron: You're not even doing your job anymore!
[19.11.823 21:09:10] [C]-Bombardier.01: And all you have to do is hand over those marines to get us off of your backs.
[19.11.823 21:09:24] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: So that this ship can be boarded? Non, monsieur.
[19.11.823 21:09:39] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: We believe the lives of everyone onboard are more important.
[19.11.823 21:09:50] [C]-Louis:Charron: So do we, more than you it seems
[19.11.823 21:10:00] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: Then you will let us proceed without further delay.
[19.11.823 21:10:11] [C]-Louis:Charron: Because those marines will kills a LOT more
[19.11.823 21:10:16] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: They are guards.
[19.11.823 21:10:21] [C]-Bombardier.01: Let's find a compromise in order to ease the stalemate.
[19.11.823 21:10:23] [C]-Louis:Charron: For how long?
[19.11.823 21:10:37] [C]-Bombardier.01: Give us a dozen.
[19.11.823 21:10:54] [C]-Bombardier.01: Then keep the rest to protect the wounded.
[19.11.823 21:10:57] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: We are not going to relinquish our guards, I've said it once and I've said it again. They are too important.
[19.11.823 21:11:04] [C]-Louis:Charron: More than the wounded?
[19.11.823 21:11:24] [C]-Bombardier.01: I see you are not up for middle grounds. Would you risk a thousand lives because of your stubbornness?
[19.11.823 21:12:23] [C]-Bombardier.01: It is noted.
[19.11.823 21:12:35] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: Do not start speaking about stubbornness, when you are the ones holding up lives.
[19.11.823 21:12:47] [C]-Bombardier.01: I offered a compromise.
[19.11.823 21:12:56] [C]-Bombardier.01: I offered lowering our demands so we can proceed.
[19.11.823 21:13:03] [C]-Louis:Charron: We're holding up potential murderers you're hidding inside an ambulance
[19.11.823 21:13:05] [C]-Bombardier.01: You still deny.
[19.11.823 21:13:24] [C]-Louis:Charron: Grrr they're still stalling even with that!
[19.11.823 21:13:33] [C]-Bombardier.01: You are the only stubborn one in this bargain and yet we are holding up lives?
[19.11.823 21:13:34] GRN|Claire.DeFrance: CO: Unbelievable. Mon dieu, do you have no sense?!

As the level of irresponsibility of these royalists as well as the danger they've put the wounded into became more and more apparent, the officers of the Council decided to call for a more trustworthy transport captain to secure the injured passengers in a place where they indeed get proper treatment instead of just empty promises. Trying to grasp onto their human shield, this was the moment when the alleged ambulance ship opened fire on the pair of pursuing bombers before fleeing to Burgundy. The Council has eventually had to cut the chase due to hostile forces outnumbering them around Dijon Station.

We have also asked Général en Chef Pierre LaFlamme about the incident, this is what he told us in the following statement:

"This incident was quite concerning, et after the internal investigation finished yesterday, I have to say I am disappointed by the performance of our own. It was a difficult situation, but despite that I don't like to see our own firing on ships carrying wounded personnel incapable to do any harm to anyone, even if they got injured in a completely pointless conquest, et for mindless ideals. Because of that, Officer Louis Gerard Charron has received an official warning, while Officers Gustave Reynaud et Salazar Voyage were suspended from their combat duties until further notice.

That said, I'm also disappointed by the performance of the Royalty. Sending brainwashed youth to fight a pointless war for yourselves, to fight for baseless revenge, is already bad enough, using survivors of your conquest as meat shield however is a brand new, until now unseen standard of lowest conduct. Et then lying about it. You are claiming you care about their lives, you are claiming you want to treat them, save them, well, let me help you out on that: Don't send them into a war over an alleged, thousand year old treason in the first place, I'm pretty sure that is cent pour cent efficient at saving lives.

Pour le peuple du Gaule all I can say is that while we may make mistakes, at least we try to fix them, but it seems the Crown does not do the same. If they will not take the responsibility for their actions voluntarily, they will be forced to do so, et we will keep fighting for the people, against the oppression. Et if they want to play their dirty propaganda game, so be it: every time they try to bend the truth in their own favor I will respond with transparency to grand the full picture et the ability for the people to judge et decide responsibly et without bias. Freedom in clarity et honesty is what I offer against the Crown's imprisoning lies et abuse. Thank you for watching."

The Council wishes to remind you, the citizens of the Kingdom of Gallia, that the Royalists are tyrants that are willing to go to any length to ensure that they continue putting up their pathetic oppression against the benevolent Council and its supporters. They wish to take away your rights, your future, the stability of the Kingdom and ultimately, the food off of your table for their own selfish gain.

Contrary to them, however, the Council does not want to force you into submission and complete obedience, but appreciates any help to ensure the replacement of oppressive tyranny of a few aristocrats with the unity of the entire nation in freedom.
