MESSAGE Greetings Representative, This is a simple matter of clarification regarding one such ship of dubious implications, named the 'Argosax'. Supposedly of the 13th Bretonian Fleet. Said ship was encountered in Inverness, trying to assault one of our mobile warships under the supposed purpose of a very unorthodox and ineffective surgical strike. Neither implications of those two words were successful and the moment the ship was detected and offered the option to surrender, the Captain spewed a few words of utter bluster and withdrew. This matter is of slight concern to us, since as supporters of the Bretonian Crown, we are being hounded by an arrogant Captain, in a Bretonian warship. A Dunkirk class, to be precise. Said Captain is abusing the courtesy of Liberty in order to assault us, for reasons legitimately unknown by me. If you do indeed wish to keep the ship to help repel Gallic assaults, then I can only request you take appropriate action against this Captain, given his tone we will be given no choice but to meet him with his own methods and with extreme prejudice, meaning there will be no scrap left to salvage. Auxesia further wants to state that it does not want this rogue warship to be the cause of any inconvenience in our efforts to help the Crown. The relationship thus far has been mutually beneficial and will only continue to be so, I can only express that it is within both our interests that this matter be handled appropriately. Furthermore, I will attach the data-logs of that 'interesting' encounter we had with the very same ship, and one line of theirs was of slight concern. Code: [23.12.2016 02:58:09] A/)-ACV-Andraste: S: Area seems clear... no veil detected... What's concerning my superiors, is what exactly these 'triplei' guns are. But the theory at the moment is that the Argosax was most likely referring to Tripoli, which would imply a link to the Corsairs, given the desperation of the Captain to seemingly go against us, it isn't unreasonable to assume they may be working with parties we are strongly against. If this is true, it's all the more matter for concern, given the Crown's stance on the Corsairs. I'll await a response, thank you for your time. - Tacitus TRANSMISSION TERMINATED
RE: To: The Kingdom of Bretonia - Thunderer - 12-27-2016 Mister Tacitus, The Bretonian Armed Forces have received and read your message. I am due to reply you. The HMS Argosax was declared a rogue vessel some time ago. Captain Jack Wills was called to return the ship to Bretonia and its Queen, but chose to escape instead, along with the Argosax and her crew. It is unknown whether the crew are being held against their will, or they are collaborators in this despicable act. If you have problems with this ship again, please board her if possible, and return her to Bretonia. If this is not possible, you are authorized to scuttle the ship. The mentioned triplei guns are not as concerning as you thought. The captain was probably referring to the ship's triple Cerberus turrets, but his speech was impeded by the cognitive flaw which the illness(es) he might be suffering from could cause. I have no notion of which reasoning Admiral of the Fleet Michelle O'Brien used when she appointed such a man to command a battleship. I would never allow such a blunder to happen to me, but my current position only allows me to mitigate the consequences, and hope that the Admiral of the Fleet has learned from this. What truly is concerning is, I will quote your words if you do not mind, "Said Captain is abusing the courtesy of Liberty". Are you claiming that the Republic of Liberty has provided asylum to the Argosax and Captain Jack Wills? If you are, do you have any evidence to support it? Sir George R. MESSAGE Respected Admiral Hall, Regarding your last query there has in fact been reconnaissance flights that report the Argosax moving in the direction of the California gate. Though I will most likely have to reacquire such evidences to properly assert them, given the potential combined pressure combined on the Captain in question, I doubt he'll ever willingly lead us to his hiding place. The fact remains that the vessel came from Cortez. The ship cannot go to Bretonia and there have been no reports of it entering Coronado. Instead, however. The only assumption left would be California and by extension the fact that the ship is being given clearance there through some misguided effort to undermine us. There will be a thorough investigation of this and if the same reveals the fact that the Argosax is indeed using Liberty for these purposes you will hear from me again. I cannot promise the ship will remain intact, if it does cause any form of damage to our fleet, we will simply scuttle it and use the parts for maintenance. Thank you for your time. - Tacitus TRANSMISSION TERMINATED
