Greetings esteemed members of the ALG,

I'm currently in need of your specialist skill set. I've recently uncovered an ancient pilgrim liner drifting through space, however it's badly damaged and in need of some serious repairs, on top of that the reactor has cracked leaking radioactive material into the reactor room and main engineering. I've been granted the use of a mooring point at Singapore Shipyard the Stationmaster there has written up a rough list of of the components I would need to start the rebuild process. Please bare in mind that we plan to rebuild an old Nuclear Fission reactor, it's due to this that I require such a large amount of Nuclear devices.

4420 units of High Temperature Alloy to rebuild the reactor
8960 units of Ship Hull Panels to rebuild the hull and super structure
8650 units of Ablative Armor Plating to further reinforce the hull
9100 units of Engine Components to rebuild the main engine
1120 units of Nuclear Devices to restart nuclear fission
7000 units of MOX required as the ships main source of fuel

You should consider this list incomplete. The radioactive waste was causing issues with the scanners so we were not able to get a complete scan.

Just to outline what needs doing: We need to rebuild around 42% of the hull, 58% of the interior needs rebuilding, the main engine block needs completely retrofitting. On top of that we are rebuilding the old reactor rather than fitting in a new one, it's a beautiful ship and I really would like to preserve as much of the original as possible. These are only rough estimates so bare that in mind. There is a lot more to do but right now my primary focus is just getting the ship running, once we've patched the holes and fixed the reactor I can focus on getting everything else finished. If there is anything missing off this list that we will require or anything else you can think off that I might need to help the rebuild process please let me know, shipbuilding is not one of my skills!

As mentioned there has been a containment breach of the reactor and I will also require your services in cleaning that up. I'm keeping all work crews away from the main engineering and reactor room to contain any contaminated martial to those areas. I have been given a grant by the guild to pay you for services rendered, I've also added funds to help cover any excess. So hopefully we can work out an agreeable price. Providing all of this is acceptable we can start moving forward. If more funds are required please let me know in advance so I am able to procure them.

Below I've attached all the information I have on this Vessel, hopefully it will help us form a more concrete plan. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Abraham Caldwell.

Mr Caldwell,

Firstly, congratulations on your impressive discovery. As it happens, our own Research & Development division operates a refurbished Pilgrim Liner, the Spree, so our engineers have some experience with working on this type of thing, although of course it's difficult to say exactly how much homogeneity exists between ships of this "class".

Certainly, the acquisition of the materials should not pose a problem, as we manufacture all of the items ourselves with the exception of the Ablative Armour Plating which is widely available on the Rheinlandic civilian market. At this stage I cannot comment specifically on the quantities required before a full survey of the ship has been completed as you yourself point out, though the preliminary numbers you provide are in the region of what we would expect for a project like this. Obviously, the first thing that will need to be done before work can begin is to mount a cleanup operation to render the parts of the ship contaminated safe. Based on your estimates of the quantity of contaminated material, approximately two thousand Hazmat canisters will be required for its safe storage onboard Singapore (or the ship itself, if you would prefer) until their contents can be shipped to our reprocessing facilities for safe disposal - it makes logistical sense for ships bringing construction materials to Singapore to load up with the contaminated materials for the return journey. Only after cleanup is complete can a full survey of work required begin.

Based on your estimates again, the cost of the cleanup operation should be around 20,000,000 S.C - if this is acceptable, a ship with canisters and full cleanup and survey teams will be made ready to be dispatched from Dortmund Station immediately. Once this operation is complete an accurate price tag can be applied to both it and the next phase, delivery and construction. It's difficult to say what the total cost of refurbishment will be before the survey is carried out, but as well as credits we may also be willing to accept payment in the form of the Guild's ample mineral wealth.

I hope to see the Arosa Star in space very soon.
