Admirable Admiral,
.

Not too long ago we met in space where I underwent some questioning. The conversation was cut short and I was to be escorted out of Liberty. Your pilot complied and dropped me off in the Kepler system. However I still had some unfinished business in Liberty which needed to be taken care of en thus I returned to handle that. Your pilot 'Silver' (service number: SNLN01-825OKSX (?)) proved to be curious about the Reavers so I indulged her into meeting me personally. We had a little chat about who I am and what my plans are.

She, as a mere pilot, can however only help me so much and that is why I am trying to contact you right now. I can understand you might be surprised to see a communique from a Reaver however as I explained before, I am no longer a Reaver and do not plan to ever be part of such organisation again. I would like to prove this to you so is there anything you can think of that would allow for me to prove that I have no ill intentions towards Liberty?

You might also wonder why I would even bother coming to you with this, I would explain but I'd rather not do it via a communique like this.

I'll be awaiting your reply,
.

Nancy Sweetwater

Miss Nancy Sweetwater,

Indeed I did not expect your name to cross my desk.

Glad to know operative Silver performed her task, and her curiosity is rather only normal. I lost my temper in New York at the thought of your deeds so yeah it was cut short indeed. But apart from not expecting your name on my desk, i wasn't expecting it in the same sentence with the word "redemption". As an Admiral, the lives of navy men and women are most pricey to me. And just like that I may never be able to forget or forgive your deeds. But there's something about redemption. Personally I see justice in a pure from, so if it were for me, I would send you to put yourself in the line for the same thing that these men fought for. Earning your second chance through military service.

But as you can understand, I am just an Admiral, here to uphold this nation's Navy. Such decision is likely up to the juridical institutions rather than me. Meaning it's up to you to decide. To either stay away or face your past. In the end you either have to accept your choices or fight over to change them. Let me know.

Apart from that, is there something else you might need?

Best Regards,

Alan Jones

Dear Admiral,
.

You and I both know what would become of me if I were to face an actual judge. I would be probably be sentenced for life and if not then I would simply be given to Bretonia after my time here. I am not eager to see any judge any time soon.

What I do want is to make up for the atrocities I have commited and I don't see how I can do that by rotting away in a cell. I have many doubts about your offer as there are many things to consider here. For starters, I am not the pilot I used to be due to complications with my health. Second, if you somehow did get me a job in the Navy, how would you protect me from your personnel were they to find out about my identity? Thirdly, how do I know you are even serious with offering me a job in the Navy and that it isn't just some trick to put me behind bar?

If I am to make any step towards you I need assurances.

Nancy Sweetwater,

I think I wasn't clear enough.

What I mean is, clearing up your name requires a judge. I can only put your potential to better use, while at the same time you make up for your deeds by serving for the same people who's life you made harder, serving for Liberty. So in other words, I can offer a new start for you, under liberty where you will no longer be Nancy Sweetwater.

First up. Pilot skills, perhaps it doesn't have to be. Here we're looking for the whole set of things, not just your abilities on flying a spacecraft. An asset is not made up of just that. Second, the navy has a ton of protocols and regulations, but in the end it's also has a hierarchy. I know how to play my cards. But I can guarantee you that something like that is as unlikely as it gets. As I said. New start.

Now third. That's a good point. It all just sounds too good. Maybe perhaps we should've gotten on with it back in New York if it were for that. This is why I let you be escorted out instead. In fact I don't want you for the Navy either. Would be too official for you. Rather the likes of yourself, wasted potential with a bad biography go to a branch more discrete. If you don't believe me, then perhaps you can ask an old friend. Titanium should ring a bell.

Meet me at Ames Research Station. Date and time is your choice. For now I can only offer you my word. Take it or leave it Sweetwater. No one can make it on their own anyway, luck runs out eventually.

Best Regards,

Admiral,

You have taken your sweet little time to figure out how to make use of me. I'm willing to listen to what you have to offer and if it fits my desires, no promises however. That Titanium is somehow involved in this doesn't surprise me much either considering how eager Bretonia must be at this point to get their hands on me.

How about you go down to Ames tomorrow eve and I'll make sure you get an audience?

Nancy Sweetwater,

I think I have to remind you. Here you're dealing with Liberty and it's interests, so I'd rather put Bretonia aside. Your old friend isn't "Bretonia's will', but rather your next best friend.

I'll be at Ames. I'll be expecting.
