This will be a combination of three mining reports. The first report I had made some solo runs before being joined by DSM)-T.Executive for two of the 5 total mining trips. During this time various matters of business were discussed including heaps of praise for my diligent efforts. I was also given the go ahead by Mr. Gunsmith to try using the Hegemon class mining vessel.
Total mined: 5x560 plus 2x3750 silver ore
The second part of the report starts with me being escorted to Pittsburgh by Cabot to purchase and outfit a Hegemon class miner, then returning to the Sonora Fields for additional mining. Progress was slow at first as the new ship had a variety of quirks that required learning and adjusting to. While it is very maneuverable in the sense that it can change it's orientation faster than any ship of it's size I've seen, nearly as a small freighter, it carries an extreme amount of inertia. While you might turn the ship around in a hurry, it will take quite a while to slow down and start moving in the direction you are now heading. Also even though the turret coverage is very good, when mining the small asteroids of fields like the Sonora the turret cameras don't allow for the small asteroids to be seen making this feature impossible to use.

The third time I went out I was able to formulate a strategy to use it more effectively taking into account it's strengths and weaknesses. Parking near the big asteroid miners stationed there I only used the main navigation camera and not the turret cameras, I also did not activate the main engines at all. Once the various small rocks that came across my field of view were mined, I immediately changed the ships orientation while remaining stationary. Doing it this way yielded some surprising results, I was able to fill my hold entirely in just 20 minutes including travel times to and from the base. Given that the Hegemon's hold has 4.9 times the capacity of a Rhino's, that is a noticeable improvement. Doing some calculations I mined 137.5 tons per minute with the Hegemon on this run as opposed to my previous runs with the Rhino in the last filed report which got approximately 112 tons per minute, there is a time benefit to not needing to return to HQ as often.
My view of the Hegemon is that it is more efficient to use it when solo mining, but it has not been tested being paired with transports so I am hesitant to provide any views on that application. It's not for everyone, because of it's quirks it requires a lot of patience and adapting from the pilot to use it effectively. The Hegemon is not optimized for small rock mining fields like the Sonora and it shows. Should we ever acquire a field with large mineable asteroids the Hegemon would be a must have, it also would be extremely useful when paired with transports if we were mining in systems we had no bases in because of it's very large cargo capacity, the time savings over the Rhino would be substantial. I will continue to use it for the time being.
It also occurs to me that theoretically if properly outfitted with extra armor and weapons turrets it could make for a useful armored transport. I would look forward to testing it's combat effectiveness in virtual simulations.

Departure from Elysium to Magellan went very well, but when I got to California, I got pirated for a low value of only $500 000 credits.
I still bought the necessary materials Food Rations and Oxygen and Water that Elysium so desperately needs everyday to function on peak performance.
Had a return trip with no further pirate attempts on my cargo and only dodged a few meteorites during the travels but nothing our top notched mechanics can't fix.

After getting over my hangover I took the hegemon for another mining run in the Sonora. Including travel times I was able to have my hold filled with precious silver ore and docked at Elysium within 15 minutes, quite an accomplishment. Unfortunately it seems that our mining efforts have been too efficient, the base's stockpiles of silver ore are so large there was no room for any more. Currently my full miner is sitting in Elysium while I await instructions from Mr. Gunsmith regarding what to do with the mined silver ore.

When Every one was sleeping I quietly went into Hauler and flew off to New London. Afterhalf hour later of Flying I Started to land on New London. As I landed, Went to have a talk with the Locals seeing what's happening.
Nothing Interest me so I token a glass of Water and payed for it of course. As I was just about to head to the Dealer of Reinforced alley, I quickly went to their Pubic Toilets. They Smelled Disguising but it was something I need do my Business in sadly.
As I felt Lighten, I went to Order, a Cargo buy of Reinforced alley. and Headed back to HQ, Elysium. As everyday I Think about her, Just relaxing waiting for me to return, As like she is calling me in my head. So I flew off as quickly as it token me to get there.
When was Approaching Her. I Got a Secure message, I couldn't Translate it. and Landed On her. Unloaded The deliveries with help of our delivery unpack team . As They were doing that, Another team was Loading on Hauler, Silver ore. And the Leader of operation given me a neutral Map update on information to Planet Denver In Colorado System.
Launched and Went off again, as it will take me around Roughly same time to New London, I turn on my radio and listened to music. As I got on planet I sold my Ore for a nice Price. and got pharmaceuticals stuff for California Minor, Then as always, Flew off like normaly do and as I got on planet, They didn't pay much more, but it better then nothing or loss I guess.
As I Departure and about to Enter trade line to Magellan to go home. I seen this Freelancer, with some illegal goods. I couldn't show it due to my Ship Scanners are still not properly working, but I still getting it fixed. Given Him warnings about Patrol wing do to Smuggling Pilots. He thanked for warning and we both flew different ways,. but as been nice, I given him a nice Bag of $200,000 Credits.
As was flying back to HQ I though of doing one more run of ore, but I'm not sure, cause the states of been pirated are getting high as I write this report. So I put it on hold till later when the Heat lowers.

When I returned to the cargo area I noticed the excessively large stockpile of silver ore had been cleared enough to allow me to offload the contents of my full cargo bay onto the base and proceed to mine in the Sonora. Several trips were made and nothing out of the ordinary occurred, the ship is working pretty well so far. I was able to make 4 trips in about an hour.

No troubles with the trip to Planet Los Angelous to get Food Rations and Oxygen and Water from it to deliver to Elysium.
During the trip to Planet New London I witnessed another ship got pirated but the pirate only Role Played a bit with me and let me go without any pirate fees.
Bought 10 000 Reinforced Alloy via my 2 trips to Planet New London which I delivered to Elysium.
