Mourning - Croft - 08-07-2017

I've just returned from having my cat of 17 years put to sleep, please consider me inactive for the next week or so.

Damn Croft - I'm so sorry to hear. Having had a family cat die some time ago, as well as two cats now that I'd be devastated to lose, my thoughts with you. Hang in there bud, and take as much time as you need.

Must be a lovely thing to have a cat that's so lovable you mourn for, my cat is just a pesky bugger.

Hope you feel better.

I feel you. Currently look after five myself. You honestly come to a point of loving them so much that you want them to live forever. Hang in there, you gave the little one a life of love and hope, that's what counts, they went with you being an integral part of their life.

Very sorry to hear that Croft. A little over a month ago I had to put down my dog, a black Labrador mix...14 years she was with us. We still have not gotten over it and miss her a great deal. I can only imagine how you feel. My sympathies and best wishes.

Oh god, I'm sorry! Cats die fast, most often beneath car wheels. My cat recently died this way too and it was so young! Your cat is really lucky to live a long life and die natural death. Gosh, after 17 years of living together, it must've been a hard hit. Condolences :.(.

Losing a long term pet is not a pleasant experience, however remember the good parts and also, choosing this action was the correct one as the suffering has now stopped.

RE: Mourning - Toris (Old Account) - 08-07-2017

I feel you mate. I still remember the day when my oldie cat lady which lived like for 20 years had looked back at me with degree of warm I could never expect, then went out of the home - never to return again.

She felt it was THAT time. Take as much time as you need, friend.

My condolences. I know what it's like to lose what is essentially a member of the family. Hope you get through things okay, Croft.
