I seem to be on a restart here. I had been around since sputnik but appear to have fallen into a black hole. I was unable to play Freelancer for a long time especially in Win 10. But have been using discovery mods for some time until about 8-9 months ago when something in win 10 caused a meltdown. I only play offline. It was recently I discovered that the pop up stating ' you need to run this as an administrator' actually meant, it does not matter if you are an admin on a pc but, to go into properties, click on compatibility and click on the bottom box 'administrator' !!!!
Anyway, glad to be back, the last discovery mod I played was 488, but currently on 485 which is better I think. So, has there been any advances to 488 whilst I was grounded?
I live in UK and bought FL when it first came out. I also noted that it seems to be holding its price up pretty well in online stores, just wish it were on Steam though.

Welcome back! You might be right about the weird changes with the recent patches. It almost looks like people started to realize the decrease in player count with each patch and currently everyone thinks he has the best idea on how to save Discovery. It's a fun show to watch, actually.
