7.Things both sides need to know

  • 7.1 in-game activity, both the Rebels and the Clan they are trying to overthrow will have their activity tracked separately. The higher side with the most cumulative activity will have an advantage over the side that has less. Be aware members caught AFK farming time for their cause during a conquest event will receive a 2-week faction ban that may also result in their side losing the event. The same penalty is provided to those who maliciously falsely accuse (without reasonable evidence) their opposition of doing so.

  • 7.2 Forum RP. Although probably the largest deciding factor for choosing a victor a winner will not be defined by forum RP alone. Forum comms to factions that have an NPC presence in the system you are trying to claim regarding the system and/or your efforts in that system count. Quality of RP (this means actual reasoning and sense in your roleplay, not forum coding/layout or grammar/spelling) will also be a deciding factor.

  • 7.3 Kills. Scoring kills against the opposite side and scoring kills against the opposite sides supporting allies count but blues must be posted. Kills against KNF, KSP, Core, Nomad and Wilde faction members also count as well as kills earned from piracy.

  • 7.4 Money. Smuggling/trading where either the Buy point or Sell point is located within the contested system. Money sent to clan/rebel bank with associated screenshots will be tallied up.

  • 7.5 Piracy is a double win, you can and should have great RP encounters when pirating as you are after all fighting for a cause as well as the opportunity to make some money, scoring points in both Money and RP, Pirated materials must have either been pirated or sold in the contested system .

  • 7.6 PoBs. PoBs can score big points. Existing PoBs have no impact on the claim but should either side wish to use a PoB as part of their attack or defense they must inform the Shogun and they must be present at the time of its deployment. These PoBs CAN be attacked by other clans without posting the 24-hour attack declaration thread. (as it will be a BD| PoB being attacked by BD| members, effectively the same as dismantling) When deploying a PoB the Base Construction platform must have a BD ID and Affiliation. Deploying a PoB and then losing it is still worth more points than if you had never deployed one.

8. What to do as Rebels

  • 8.1 Assets. You will only have access to the ships you were given by your previous Daimyo, this excludes shared vessels. You may swap and share these ships. You should look to purchase more and or better equipment as you will be met by the opposing Daimyo's full supportive force.

  • 8.2 Clan Banks, Each clan has its own bank. As a rebel Daimyo, you lose access to your previous clan's bank and received a new one with 0$ credits. Look to add to this as soon as you can, you may receive credit donations from supporters in the system as well as using the BD| non-clan tagged shared transports to earn money though cargo piracy or trading remember that only credits made either from or in the contested system will count towards your rebellions success counter at the end of the two weeks.

  • 8.3 Allies, any faction with the exception of KNF or Nomad/Wild/Core that has an NPC presence in the contested system can help you, either with RP, Funds, PvP or all three. Reach out to these to try and strike deals, remember to only promise what you can deliver or accept that you will go back on deals made and suffer the consequences from that faction. You can also reach out to other Daimyo's should you be rebelling against a clan that has rivals you might be able to turn them to support you.

  • 8.4 Know that it's not an easy ride. It's harder to take a system than it is to defend one so you will need to make sure that you are doing more in the system than your opponent is. The only way you can 100% ensure your rebellions success is to beat the opposition on all fronts. Have more game time, Do more RP, bring more credits into/out of the system and score the most blues, a balanced approach is the most likely to succeed but the more you take on, the harder it will be to manage.

  • 8.5 Have fun and make sure your fellow comrades have fun too! This is a game but morale is real. Keep focused on your RP motivations and those of the people supporting you.

9. What to do as Challenged Daimyo
  • 9.1 Confirm your support. Some members of your clan may not have been asked by the usurper to pick a side, you should with haste contact your clan members to confirm what manpower you are left with and to turn any members who have yet to decide.

  • 9.2 Solidify your position. Task yourself and your remaining clan members with completing outstanding tasks and progressing existing RP opportunities, this can provide some quick RP wins as you won't be starting from scratch. Remember not to rush your RP as you will be scored on its quality.

  • 9.3 Keep your cool. It is easier to defend a system than it is to take one, you start with the upper hand, a full bank, the ability to purchase new ships and existing relationships with your local factions and clans, leverage any relationships you have built with factions who have an NPC presence with your contested system and have them come out to support you.

  • 9.4 Don't underestimate your enemy. Just because you have a better starting position doesn't mean it's going to be an easy ride. An absent Daimyo will be defeated and will suffer further desertion. Be around, fly with your clan members and keep an eye on your opponents progress and motivate your clan and allies to compete to keep ahead.

  • 9.5 Have fun and make sure your fellow comrades have fun too! This is a game but morale is real. Keep focused on your RP motivations and those of the people supporting you.
