IRMM~ Fenice.D'Oro Assignment #1 - IRMM - 01-07-2020

- Omicron Beta -

Returning from Britany after a showup against Gallic forces the Fenice D'Oro has docked on Venice Shipyard in Omicron Tau for further supplies. In Omicron Alpha a detour around the sun closer to the Omicron Phi jumphole and Santa Verna was taken to prevent possible prying eyes of independent traders. While the voyage around the sun has been peaceful, entering Omicron Beta revealed a Corsair Cruiser 10K from Omicron Alpha jumphole towards Omicron Xi which according to the scans could've been an older version as it's hull wasn't as dense as the usual ones seen in Alpha or Gamma when raids are being conducted on either side.

Two Falcata bombers and 4 Scimitar fighters have been deployed from a safe distance of 10K towards the ship as it appeared to have problems recognizing vessels in its immediate range. Upon arriving into antimatter range of the Bombers, the Corsair vessel began showing some activity yet no hostilities until the fighters were nearly at point black range where charging of its weapons systems was detected. Ruiz at the center of the system launched few fighters towards Omicron Xi to intercept any possible attack wave. At that point Bombers began tearing it down while Fenice slowly approached the vessel while its crew were distracted by Bombers and fired its light mortars that plowed through the integrity of the corsair cruiser's hull. Whatever remained of the cruiser was collected and left on Gallicia Research Station.

Order Battleship Amenta at sector 5B charted by independent Maltese seems still active and its patrols are constantly up protecting the Omicron Sigma jumphole that is directly west of the Gallicia Research Station. Apparently the pinpointing of the vessel was caused by Order going haywire after certain freelancer traders have found themselves lost in space and asked surrounding vessels for help. A squadron of Maltese fighters from Ruiz have received the call and decided to not answer as they have themselves detected non-maltese signatures. Charting along with evidence was brought back by recon vessels.

Measuring the energy readings of a Nomad Jumpgate at sector 7G allowed Fenice D'Oro to safely pass the gate. What's one of the interesting things is the Gate's age and ability to constantly gather power seemingly out of nowhere. Unfortunately there aren't spare gates for disassembly which doesn't allow us to tackle with the gate currently. Knowing the other side from recon fighters and reports old several months, Fenice D'Oro entered prepared to counter ship of any size, holding:
- 2x Falcata Bombers
- 2x Rapier Very Heavy Fighters
- 4x Carabela Heavy Fighters
- 8x Scimitar Light Fighters
