Greetings to the Bretonian Government,

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jordan Mathers, I the captain of the Zoner science ship Flash Magnus. I also help lead a special unit of Zoners that is dedicated to combating the Nomad presence across Sirius.

We have conducted many reconnaissance operations against Nomad installations mainly around the Edge worlds to better understand how they function and to develop better ways to work against them. With the growing threat of Nomad incursions, there is still a lot that can be done to better protect ourselves from them.

We are aware that there is a Nomad structure located in the Newcastle system that your scientists likely have had some interest in. It is for this reason that I would like to request permission to enter the system, with escort of course, to conduct our own brief scans of the structure in question. Our ship is equipped with a very advanced suite of sensors and it would greatly help our overall analysis of Nomad technology in the long run.

We would of course share our findings with your Scientists as well. My team has come to the agreement that all Nomad installations are connected to some extent with each other so we are eager to see if such hypothesis are correct.

Please let me know if this request may be accepted and any conditions that may apply.

Mister Mathers,

There is no Nomad structure in Newcastle, no alien one at least. People not from Bretonia tend to misunderstand the codename "Nomad City" and often contact us about it, convinced it refers to some alien ruins. This was a BMM project from the 790-s to design a space refinery with cruise engines that was meant to reduce shipping costs. The refinery was officially called Yorkshire, but its codename was "Nomad City" because of its intended ability to move freely. Unfortunately, Yorkshire's reactor had a meltdown in 801. It was in the news all over Bretonia, but it certainly never made it to front page abroad because there was a lot more happening around Sirius that year.

Please do not go near the Yorkshire debris field. It is severely irradiated to this day and the authorities have forbidden any visits to the site.
