10 old friends reconnected approximately 1 year ago at the bar on Planet Manhattan. They all came for a research conference on new astronomical anomalies found in the the Deep Omicrons, but that wasn't the only reason they were there. They all were individually approached by a private investor on Manhattan, a private investor that would launch their expedition mapping the Sirius Sector. As they regrouped, they were met with a deal. For 100 million Sirian Credits, they as a group needed to reset their ships neural network, delete all cosmological data, and reset their repsheets in order to map out the Sirius Sector and create connections from scratch. Upon completion of a complete map of the Sirius Sector, they would be awarded with the 100 million credits total. Gladly, the friends accepted.

They planned to meet at an undisclosed location in Coronado, where they reset their data and set off to Java Station in Tau 23. There, they bought a newly manufactured Spatial and christened it the Principia XIV. They have now successfully mapped all of Coronado and Cortez, and are heading out to the Taus.

The most recent goal is to fully map the Taus and return into Liberty, or to complete the Taus and head into the Border Worlds or Bretonia. After the 100 million is collected, the group hopes to split the cash evenly and keep the Spatial as a research vessel for, what they hope, can be a new research fund for other researchers like themselves.
