Kadesh Meeting Room - RedEclipse - 07-13-2021

Jack had been waiting for Phoenix construction specialists to arrive. This time he was prepared and swallowed into all details of the project. Thanks to the meeting with the DHC, that was disrupted by sudden gambit of Mr. Burton’s plans. Before they came, Jack decided to do something useful and what would help to kill some time. He had been admiring the grand vista on Omicron Zeta sun, the splendor of the marvelous asteroid’s belt, flickering the light like a disco ball. “What a view!” He noticed that some ship was about to arrive and dock with the Kadesh Orbital Colony, that must be guests were finally about to come, so he turned around and walked to the round table. He gesticulates barely seen movements to command the console. Project of Kadesh Orbital City appeared with comparison of the Bonn blueprints station that Mr. Burton provided that had been taken from Deep Space Engineering appeared slightly upper of the table. It seems that our engineers were close enough when making their own schematics of the Zeus class station, though this blueprint was much more detailed - it wasn't a scheme of hull interiors and skeleton, but a full detailed project. "Guess it will take several days to read all the data" He zoomed in on the hologram and disabled all linings and schematics beside interior and skeleton dimensions. "Let's start from the toil and swallow to the calculations of bearing structures".

A person soon walks into the room, a middle age man with a slightly unkempt facial hair holding an electronic pad in his left arm looking slightly hurried. He looks around and the first thing he saw is a man by the round table, then looking at his direction is the holo schematics projected in the air which subsequently distracted him. "Ah, I guess that must be the details plan to the station". "Steve's the name, construction engineer based in Livadia" as he walked across the room to the table leaning towards the other person for a handshake whilst grabbing a seat and setting the pad down on the table.

RE: Kadesh Meeting Room - RedEclipse - 10-14-2021

"Ah, finally!" Jack slightly smiled and gestured to have a seat on the opposite side of the table. "Pleasure to meet you, I hope you are engineer from the Livadia?" Guest nodded slightly. Jack smiled and continued "Alright then, it's about time. I think we have got all we need to finish off core station quickly - the blueprints from Deep Space Engineering and leaked blueprints from the Unioners, I suppose from ex Daumann folk. Both projects have unnecessary differences that isn't a bug problem, since all apparatus, inner sections will be counted and adopted for our needs. You may raise a question, why we need those blueprints then?" Jack raised a bow on the engineer, took his glass in hand and continued "quite simply" he drank a sip of water and pulled back the glass "We need to speed up construction works, as the aliens never sleep. We don't know whenever they gather their clash to strike us down like with Toledo - so we have to be always be on step forward and be quickly as possible to get functional defensive perimeter." Jack lightly gestured by hand and a hologram appeared "Here is highlighted bearing structures and outer perimeter - original details of the Zeus class station. All other tiny lines is inner sections of different size depend on its class and type."

Jack again took a sip of glass water and leaned back in the chair, letting engineer from the Livadia at least have an approximate understanding of the project. "I hope everything is clear enough? We have got the time for that so no rush. To be more precise on every deck structure design, we will go through each section and see how it goes“ Jack raised a bow on the engineer "if you have any ideas how to improve the project, I'm all ears. The decks scheme was calculated and estimated by our local engineer. He was like you, previously working on Livadia, but his specifications on ship design are immense, but the first time he drew blueprints for a station." Jack stretched his hands behind his back and barely hid his desire to yawn "Sorry, your ship came much later than I'd expected. Had any trouble along your path Mr.? … "

RE: Kadesh Meeting Room - Aazalot - 10-19-2021

A Broad shouldered, stocky man wondered into the room. His hair was shorn and face worn as he looked at the current company. He wore the current Phoenix flight suit along with an old works jacket that had various older group insignias stitched upon it. A stylus was perched upon his ear and a tablet tucked under his arm as he approached the meeting “Ello Gent's” He greeted with a thick central Bretonian accent "ope Im not too late" He extends a hand towards Jack "Chillworth Blaine, lead fabricator and Foreman of the Pygar Colonisation." Chillworth removes the Stylus from his ear, removing the tablet from his arm as he continued”Voncloud sent me to offer my experience and knowledge on building in harsh climates, as well as me work force of course”He smiles as he itch's his head with the stylus before activating his tablet

Listening to Jack as he flickered the between DSE and Daunamm blueprints, Steve squinted at the model, half facing Jack replying "Completely agree, not to mention these stations are probably designed for people with fancy suits or cocktail sippers in mind... we are going have to adapt, but as you say this basic schematics will certainly help give a kick start. "

Steve continues to inspects one of these blueprint closely, contemplating to himself that these struts and beams needs a stronger material... as Jack then continued by proposing to review by section, and on seeing him doing a stretch, Steve replied "Mr. Calderon, and no delays on route, unfortunately just held up at shipyard." He continues while shaking his head . "Don't know how but out of the blue 7 of these strangest Barges came one week and dumped a load of station parts at Livadia, our stores completely filled and tripled our workload overnight. On top we have one of these behemoths needing an inspection!" He paused, before point out "We probably have plenty of parts available re-forge to speed this..." - just before he could finished his sentence, the door opened behind him, which he turns around to look.

RE: Kadesh Meeting Room - RedEclipse - 11-02-2021

Jack had been confused when a second guest popped up, but a moment after thought that Burton could send someone else experienced in station construction. The more people the better brainstorm would be. "Ah, welcome! Please have seats" Jack gestured to the chair in between him and a specialist from the Livadia.

"Alright gentlemen, we're all here to discuss final element of Kadesh Orbital City construction. At this moment workers halfway done bearing structures and hull panels is ready on 14%. Work on the construction site doesn't stop due to shift teams and we're quite ahead of scheduled traffic and I would like to keep it that way. Our planning shouldn't stop the progress of the construction works, but we still have enough time to discuss the matter of each deck I believe. The result we would submit would be calculated by the computer to avoid possible human factor and then it'll be ob Burton's desk for final approval"

Jack took a look at both representatives "Let's jump straight on first section" he moved his hand slightly to make full control of the console. The hologram previously that displayed project in respective distance fastly got closer to the middle of the station. Now all details got revealed, the hologram displays all measurements and required amounts of the materials to build up the station, mostly using titan and its alloys to ensure maximum intergnity. "So let's start from the heart of the station" Jack pointed to the most hidden part of the station. "A primary power plant deck, the choice has fallen on this place due to its maximum distance from outer stocky shell, that would make the City not a powder keg on possible shield failure per attack. He started to point out to station around of the reactor deck - there will be located multiple minified generators to ensure stability of the station's subsystems even in case of the malfunction - each system will be no less than doubles to ensure maximum survivability, so in the terms if design it would be like Vega or Hyperion or our lesser capital ships." Jack gestured his hand and the hologram moved slightly upwards, pointing on the launch deck. "Here we didn't go far from the original Zeus station design. Several levels were converted to repair hangars - we expect high traffic at the City, and most of them need repairs due to alien patrols and lesser, but not less deadly enemy - radiation".

"Following design was made by our engineers that had been working on Hyperion and Vega projects in the past, all we have to adjust it if they were came too far in terms of battleship design" Jack laughed, crossed his legs and leaned back on the seat "Any ideas or questions on following part of the station? Or is it fine as it is?

RE: Kadesh Meeting Room - Alvin - 11-21-2021

Steve turns back to the schematics as Jack carries on talking about the construction project, listening and thinking intently as Jack zoom in each sections in the station in detail. Having listened what was proposed so far, Steve can be seen slightly nodding in agreement whilst in thought, as if you could almost see his head ticking away.

As Jack leaned back, Steve then replied "These changes looks fine to me, on the area where we intending to section the repair hangers, theses would have normally be used store CEO's or some trillionaire's yachts anyway if I recall, so if anything much more useful in this case. before continuing, " Just some rewiring of power conduits in this case to support heavy machinery but no biggie". Steve then makes a single cough before moving on, "As for the reactors, mind me I haven't been on either ships nor seen the schematics, but I will take your word for it! Anyway the reactors position looks fine too, so happy to move to next part. As he quickly grabs a quick sip of water in front of him to moisten his throat.

RE: Kadesh Meeting Room - RedEclipse - 11-30-2021

Jack slightly smiled and said "So it seems our engineers could draw up not just yet another Aquilon carrier class vessel, though I believe they had enough time to get familiar with Nephilim structure design and it should have prevented them from accident drawbacks in station design." Jack lay back in the seat a bit, gestured a few slightly noted movements by hand and the central section slowly dissolved in yet again familiar hologram of generic view on the station.

"Anyway, if everyone's good with the following part, let's continue to the control tower section." like before the general view on the project was zoomed, but this time pointing on the tower part. The hologram has displayed a ton of text about electronic equipment, sensor arrays and other sensitive equipment. "Oh, sorry let me get rid of those unnecessary details… The engineer team detailed all required works for this station, as all variables were known before, so they have attached all required apparatus already, even including Order scanners, that will help us to keep infections away. I believe with the new power reactor and its output we will be able to extend its working range so it'll help us to detect unwanted guests long before it will knock on our doorstep… Anyway - " all details were hidden leaving only bearing structure hull parts were left on hologram.

"So here we go'' said Jack and pointed on the top of the tower "I believe this part of the station would be just the same as other Zeus class stations - this is an operator area of all inbound and outbound traffic, with all radio equipment for manual reading of control sensors array. A little below the rescue deck for a little amount of staff in this area - they have planned each deck with a small rescue pod section due to the planned population of the station, though following the little pod's section is only supposed for the staff in the case of critical condition. Well, you know - asteroids or the Nomads, in the case if shields wouldn't be able to consume all incoming fire." he took a sip of the water and took a look around on his guests, imagine they have same question for city population "Yes, we will come on next part a little bit later, the population will use the biggest area of the city for evacuation purposes, to avoid crushing crowds" he pointer on lower section from the peak to the body - " here all area will be used for various equipment - sensors, signal amplifiers and other related equipment." Jack layed back on the chair pointing out that he was ready for any questions "Is that clear enough? Any questions? Oh and yeah, the bottom tower that is marked as the Emergency Tower is pretty much just like the Control Tower, it has all equipment related to sensitive apparatus."

RE: Kadesh Meeting Room - Alvin - 12-11-2021

Steve leans back once again to looks at the next set of schematics. Going past the control tower section, Steve was intrigued when the details briefly flashed by his eyes, but given the long day and travel weariness setting in, and clearly seeing the tower already extensively panned by prior engineers, he was confident not to press further with sensitive information.

Nonetheless, Steve was pleased to see there was plenty of emergency pods and secure sections for backups where necessary, and just as he was about to raise his fingers and ask about the general habitants, Jack already covered his basis. As the explanation finished, Steve said with a chuck "Huh guess all the work is done and you don't need me here then !" as he briefly jokingly pretends to pack up his pad and leave.

"Anyway, I do have one addition" before sitting back down and up right "with a suggestion into fit a third control site for last resort." Before clarifying further "Reserve a small area on the top of the docking bay should both towers be compromised, as without a doubt they might be the first target of a surprise attack. All we need is a small area elsewhere, like a locked store room in a service corridor but fitted with narrow band comms, access to evacuation corridors and basic EWAR functions. The main security feature of the site is to make it hide in plain sight, with a selected control and security staff with this knowledge, until the ultimate need for them. Scanners or similar apparatus wont be needed, given they take too much room and useless by the time we get to this point. The main purposes would be to send out distress signal to alert our vessel and our order allies, and allow habitants to escape before hostiles can find this room and shut it down. Process made useful for evacuations without opening a security gap. What do you think ?

"Anyway food for thought, please do continue on Jack"

RE: Kadesh Meeting Room - RedEclipse - 12-19-2021

"Thank you for the input, Steve. This is definitely a good idea." Jack took a glass of water and made a sip and glimpsed at participants of the meeting “The idea of this station to double if not triple all security systems no matter of it’s type - passive or active subsystems. I think we will go a little further with Steve's idea and duplicate for each section, so in case of emergency each part of the station would have the ability to send the signal to neighboring stations like Cairo or even Cape.” Jack gestured his hand and the hologram dissolved, appearing on the latest section that wasn't discussed yet.

"So here comes the final section. The design of the station which we have chosen has fallen because of its number of mooring points. An important part of any hub-station, we will be able to service and welcome visitors almost as many as we want." Jack moved his hand to the console to highlight the interiors "You may see, beside mooring points there’s left an immense amount of rescue pods decks which most of them wouldn’t be necessary, but with our expectations of growing population and further station extensions it’ll be necessary." he glanced at Steve inquiringly "Any other ideas that you may have? Of course, we could change the project while constructing work flow, but the structure cannot be changed, a most of it."

He stood up and walked to the panoramic window. The modular station they were resident in almost left the dark side of the Palmyra and in a moment had been opened gran vista on Kadesh Orbital City construction site, the solar shine had played upon scaffolds that had been baffling the mind of the people inside this room. “Gentlemen, any more questions? We are. We are almost ready to start wrapping up bearing structures, if we seem everything is okay with following blueprints.”
