Story about James.Smith - Bryce - 10-03-2021

Manhattan, 828 A.S .. The bomb was to explode at exactly half past three. However, the man to be murdered knew more about bombs and terrorism than anyone else in Sirius. He even wrote a bestseller on the subject - Twenty Ways to Survive on Manhattan and in the Liberty Sector. It may not have been the most attractive name in the handbook, but in Liberty alone had sold it several hundred thousand copies, and it was said that one had the president on the bedside table.
His name was James Smith. He was a young, tall man with sharply cut features, charcoal-black hair, and a rough look. He was born on December 19, 794 A.S. on the planet Houston, where his parents served for the Texas Police. Unfortunately, at James' early age, they both died in a bomb attack on a police station. Little James was admitted to an abandoned children's shelter, where he met his future comrade-in-arms, William Cruise. As a teenager, he excelled in observation, acumen, and high intellect. He graduated from LA Military College with excellent grades. Even at that time, he was a brave man and a brilliant strategist. In the tests, he surpassed his peers in all respects - both in physical fitness and in strategic thinking. It was obvious that his right place would be the universe.

A late creature, Lorien Hill, a girl based on the same foundations as James, entered his late youth. Together with William, they formed an inseparable trio for many years. From the age of 23, James became involved in the border guards of the Texas system. During his two years of service, he went through many combat situations, when he fully utilized his abilities. Stories about them soon began to be told, and at the same time he came into the search for the secret services of other Liberty states. From the age of 28, he served as a commanding officer for covert operations in Alaska. However, one unsuccessful action "sent" him to a completely different path. Transport with newly discovered alien technologies, which his unit captured the MND faction in the Hudson system, became the target of an attack by the Bundschuh thanks to the betrayal of two bribed crew members. In addition to losing his cargo, James lost most of his crew and was captured himself. Outwardly, however, the event seemed like James' idea of how to make big money. He was subsequently charged with treason and the crime of murder and theft by commanding covert operations. The news, of course, reached both James's prisoners and himself.
The Bundschuh sensed an opportunity to drag the agent to their side, which they also like. James's unprecedented animosity toward Liberty, and perhaps the death of her parents in her service, appeared. At Bundschuh, James met a lot of new weapon technologies and training technicians, incl. market damage strategy. By training on both fronts of combat, he became one of the best specialists in Sirius. In time, he found himself filled with freelance work, even in the service of our faction for a proper package as a mercenary, but he still had to think that an arrest warrant had been issued for him.

For a few years he roamed the universe and took every job, incl. the worst - hunting people for experiments with extraterrestrial technologies. Initiates soon began to learn about James' "work" practices. There was also a suspicion that he was infected by K'Hara. Over time, there was no place in Sirius where he could move freely. This awareness forced him to reconsider his future. If he wanted to survive, he had to fall into the hands of the law in his native Liberty, which he did. He did not stay in prison long, an investigation proved his innocence. Even in that short time (5 months), however, he managed to write the already mentioned book. He wanted to give people at least part of his rich experience, which he managed according to the response and sales. However, who did not like his writings were the enemy factions, in whose service he moved as a mercenary. He knew too much. So much so that it could jeopardize their existence. The only solution was to remove James.
