Hi!
I know it sounds silly but I always fancied the idea to mine water and I'd like to know what bonuses apply to what IDs / ships. The official mining guide doesn't cover it:

I can see why it's not covered - water being probably the cheapest commodity that's mineable but I'm still curious. I Tried a Hegemon with Freelancer ID and Mining turrets but the drop rate is very low. Any ideas? Thank you!

I don't know why it has a water mining bonus, but find it quite funny. For now, it looks like anyone mining water is relying on the default rate without any hooked bonus. It's my understanding that water mining is intended to be more feasible next patch.

sometime ago there was on the old Omega 49 system, some huge water mining asteroids with some extra drop ... but that was long ago ... and water is not a very attractive "ore" ... unless is ice and pristine
