Samura Omotai Zaibatsu A Brief History: The Kusari Sleeper Ship lands on New Tokyo: 5 A.S. - 100 A.S.
Shortly after planetfall, the Planners decided to restore the title of Emperor as the leader of the Kusari government after centuries of figurehead status. Strong and absolute leadership was needed to rebuild their civilization. The political maneuvering was intense. There were two rivals - Masamune Samura and Yosai Hideyoshi. Ultimately, Hideyoshi won. As a compromise, Samura was offered the presidency of the corporation that would rebuild the industrial might of the Kusari people from scratch. He accepted, and Samura Heavy Industries was incorporated, the first of the two great Kusari industrial conglomerates that dominate commerce in the region to this day. Until the present: 100-817 A.S. By 100 AS., Samura had constructed the Yokohama Shipyard and established its reputation as the premier shipbuilder in Kusari. Over the next several centuries, Samura expanded its gas mining operations throughout Kusari space, began regular trading with the other houses, and perfected the construction of polymer hull panels and shielding. Samura's contracts to construct ships for the Kusari Military remain highly lucrative, while its commercial transports almost entirely dominate that sector. Throughout its history, Samura Heavy Industries has exhibited many of the traits of its founder: methodical, implacable, slow to change, quick to anger. Recent News: 817 A.S. onward Samura Industries, one of Kusari's 'Keiretsu' Sprawling industries that control whole companies across Kusari. Shinjuku Station, the Corporate Headquarters for the Sprawling industrial complex known as Samura Heavy Industries. The history of Samura is deeply intertwined with the Kusari Shogunate, its ruling body. Samura holds key contracts for the Construction of Kusari Navy and Terraforming operations in the Tau-Borderworlds, and previously held the exclusive rights for the distribution of valuable resources produced by the Gas Miners Guild (GMG). However, Because the agreement with the GMG has recently expired, Samura faces fierce competition for the GMG's business archrival Kishiro Technologies. Samura is also engaged in a protracted dispute with Synth Foods over the race to feed the ever growing expanding Kusari population. Timeline of Kusari and Samura 50 A.S. Samura Heavy Industries - farmerman - 01-07-2010 In my completely nonbiased experienced, Samura is very much awesome! Samura Heavy Industries - Ceoran - 01-18-2010 ' Wrote:In my completely nonbiased experienced, Samura is very much awesome! I have to concur. Completely unbiased too, of course. Samura Heavy Industries - Daedric - 02-13-2011 Quick docking to Trenton Outpost because Liberty Navy vessels are firing on you for not listening to them is very poor form. I'm looking at you Samura|-Hayabusa.Maru Though the little role play gift you did before hand to stir up trouble was indeed funny, how about you accept the consequences of it instead of quick docking to avoid them? Samura Heavy Industries - Markus_Janus - 02-13-2011 Thank you for your feedback. I want you to know that we have taken it under advisement and are working to resolve the situation currently. In future feel free to PM any director of Samura in regards to naming any individual members as it may result in a trial by forum, which I am sure we would all rather do without. I must say that I am enjoying the fallout from this situation and look forward to the RP it brings. Samura Heavy Industries - NixOlympica - 02-13-2011 Good to see Samura kicking again ~Your Black Dragon Society brothers and sisters Samura Heavy Industries - SpaceTime - 03-31-2011 Hello there. Congrats for your good work, both in-game and in the forums:) I got a question. Will Samura continue giving out loans? If yes, what do you think of my suggestion? ' Wrote:I like it & support it. The odd insurance that all lenders have, will end. It will also add some in-RP interactions because of the new policies in loans. Also, from what I've read, your leader is considering to hand over loans only to official trading factions. However, I don't think it's enough. ' Wrote:How about giving loan protection only to official trading factions to make those more attractive to players (since it raises player interaction with those)? And yes, that's a partially biased suggestion. Samura Heavy Industries - SMI-Great.Fox - 03-31-2011 Kusari needs more Kishiro.. You guys aren't...half bad I'll give you that.. Keep up the good work. Samura Heavy Industries - Markus_Janus - 03-31-2011 ' Wrote:Hello there. Congrats for your good work, both in-game and in the forums:)This is a very good question. That part of SAI is currently being re-evaluated. Ceoran's idea is a very good one and I believe has a lot in common with your idea. We shall have to see how this goes. ' Wrote:Kusari needs more Kishiro.. Thanks for the compliment and yes I agree, we do need more Kishiro. I have tried to recruit a couple of indy Kishiro I have seen in space for them as I believe we need each other to increase the other's fun. Samura Heavy Industries - Dab - 04-04-2011 I've got a complaint and a kudos. Unfortunately, the complaint outweighs the Kudos.. During the past two days, I have seen 3 Samura F1 out of situations. 1.) Samura I had been tailing in a Kiretsu Arrow. After awhile he is leaving Shinjuku station. He sits outside of it for a few minutes, then F1s in front of me. 2.) Samura flies into Okinawa, GMG and my Kiretsu Arrow cover all places he could go or flee through.. So he F1s in space somewhere. 3.) Two Kiretsu in Kyushu, Samura glimpses me on his scanner in the middle of the lane to the Tau-29 JG. He runs out of scanner range immediately, okay. Then the moment he is outside of scanner range, so no "cloak" message appears, he F1s. I can provide the names of these Samura transports in PMs. I will give Kudos to the Ichikawa for the RP at the S-13 gate, and for not insta-docking as soon as I appeared, next time we'll dual-SNAC your hull with a pair of bombers so you can't dock at the last second. |
