Light Crusader - Vaxxor - 10-14-2007
I was thinking about some of the older games that I used to play on the Sega Genesis. My favorite one was a game named Light Crusader. Takes place in medivel times. You are a very well-known and renowned knight. Villagers in the kingdom have been constantly dissappearing. You are sent by the king to find out what is happening. That's where the game starts. there is only one town and one doungen. The town is rather small but the doungen is huge. Not to mention it's basement (lower) floors.
There are alot of puzzles that you have to solve in order to continue, and many of them are quite hard. If you start getting frusterated you should stop for a while.
The graphics are pretty good, and the music is nice for the GENS.
There are numerous equipment, about 10 for each type. 3 types of equipment, swords, gloves, and armour.
There is one secret armour that you can get very early in the game, it's the strongest as well. Hard to find unless you know what you are doing though, and even if you do, it's still a pain.
There is a supposed Armadillo Armour, but the only way to get it as of now is to use a gamegenie cheat. People today are still trying to find it without cheating. No one has yet.
Light Crusader is a walk around, hack and slash game. But it has a very interesting feature.
The magic feature.
There are four elements, water, wind, fire, and earth. You need to buy these elements and use them for spells. For most good spells you need to MIX two or more elements together. Altogether there are 16 different spells. Each has a different combination of the four elements.
That's not even half the features, but there are so many that it will take forever to explain them.
All this on a genesis game, can you believe it?
