I recently heard a rumour involving the "L" key in which someone says it miraculously increases your ship's agility once pressed. Nonplusesd, I checked the control key mappings in game as well as the manual but couldn't find any reference to "L".
Perhaps it's a hidden feature or just a hoax? If you know the truth, please speak up.

If you hit enter before hitting L, it types a lowercase L (l) into the chatbox.
A little-known fact is that if you hold shift while doing so, you get an uppercase one! (L)
