T40 6 kills Fishermans Bay Standard battle NA server Post patch 8.3 - ArmsAndLegs Guy - 01-28-2013

Sometimes you need to play a TD more as a attack-scout. Just try to utilize cover as much as possible, and to aid and support your teams attacking tanks. Remember, a TD has tracks, its supposed to relocate, so go with the flow of the attack, and don't just find one spot to sit in.

As usual, available in 1080p HD for the full gory details, and includes the complete After Battle Report at the end.

Wow. I was just looking up you guys' service records.
Very impressive.
Are you all in clans and if so, would you recommend joining one and why?

EU, with 20 ms ping, and 7903 battles : 57 % winrate - Efficiency rating 1650.22 - http://worldoftanks.eu/community/accounts/500218482-ArmsAndLegsGuy/
NA with 120 ms ping and 3962 battles : 54 % winrate - Efficiency rating 1438.96 - http://worldoftanks.com/community/accounts/1000218482-ArmsAndLegsGuy/
SEA with 400+ ms ping and 1195 battles : 54 % winrate - Efficiency rating 1331.17 - http://worldoftanks-sea.com/community/accounts/2000619604-AALG/

Event accounts :
EU, with 20 ms ping and 128 battles : 54 % winrate - Efficiency rating 1795.63 - http://worldoftanks.eu/community/accounts/500630571-WG_ArmsAndLegsGuy/ (used during the old Hunt the Mod events on EU)
NA, with 120 ms ping and 384 battles :53 % winrate - Efficiency rating 1634.26 - http://worldoftanks.com/community/accounts/1000677462-WG_ArmsAndLegsGuy/ (Used during the old Kill The Courier events and for WG Tank Company battles on NA)

(efficiency rating calculator : http://wot-news.com/stat/calc/en/ru )

And mind you, I don't play Tank companies, nor stat-pad with low tier tanks. I do random battles only, and platoon maybe once a month with some of my fellow moderators.

On EU I am part of the WG staff clan. On NA and SEA I am not part of a clan.
Clan membership is reccomended (and required), if you want participate in the Clan Wars part of the game, but wait with that untill yoyu get to at least tier 8-9-10.

Being part of a clan can also be beneficial, if they have a "training clan" set up, where they help you learn tactics, and how to utilize your tanks best, plus gives you team mates to platoon up with, or do Tank Company battles with.

RE: World of Tanks - blubba - 01-29-2013

Thanks for the responses
My efficiency is a bit low compared to yours, even though I've had a few more battles. I, like Ry0ken do only randoms. I platoon with some of 'The Family' from Disco when we can get together.
Sadly, without premium, it's often only two allowed in a platoon so we count in on skype. You'd be surprised how often we meet each other!
2 or 3 on each side. Very good fun. I'd recommend it.
Stat pad?
Is that where you play low tier tanks to improve the look of your efficiency rating?
I am trying to play 50 games in every tank. Just for giggles but also to see which I do better in.
I suppose I'm a prime candidate for stat padding then Shy

RE: World of Tanks - Bloom - 01-29-2013

I'm probably the most inclined to recommend clans. Me being in a clan myself (I'm Nirvana on the EU server).

Why? Well, simple. First of all, you hang around a lot of fun people, you have people to platoon with and generally more experienced players to learn from. Secondly, trainings. Thirdly, tank companies. Some find them boring, but I find them to be a welcome change of pace from the random game play. And never boring. Plus, we tend to do troll companies, or "drunk companies", where we either use retarded setups or, you guessed, we all are drunk. Oh, the laughs in TS and so on..

Finally, you can get into some of the "end game" stuff, such as clan wars and competitions. I do those and I like them. But you can have a lot of fun in a clan without doing that stuff.

I, for one, do recommend clans.

Edit: well derp, forgot to switch account (was using this coz temporarily forgot the password on my main one xD). Rogue_91 here.

T30 5 kills defeat 5183 dmg 60K crd Dragon Ridge Standard battle NA Patch 8.3 - ArmsAndLegs Guy - 01-30-2013

The T30 is a versatile TD, able to multirole both as a hardhitting sniper, and as a first line heavy attack tank, when going with pack. Its high Alpha damage, accurate gun, good penetration, decent RoF, and decent speed + armour makes it one of the best Tier IX TD's IMHO.
It is one of the few vehicles, where I don't keep a couple of Premium rounds in the tank, since its hardly needed, especially when targets are within the 100-200 meter range.

Even in defeat, the Tier IX US T30 TD shows its awesomesauceness. 5.183 damage points, 1.089 XP points, and 60.136 credits, with just 13 shots, 10 of them penetrating. Even without Premium account status, it would still have made a profit, after repairs and ammo was purchased.

As usual, available in 1080p HD for the full gory details, and includes the complete After Battle Report at the end.
