Anyone else think the IS4 first gun is a POS? I was 10K from 130MM, now i got no BL9 anymore, and stuck with a teir 10 using 122MM with 175 pen. The IS8 has better firepower, and even has same top gun. Why the frack can teir 9 get BL9, but the 10 gets a POS gun?

The IS8 is very, very like a russian pershing. It has no armor at all and seems to rely on larger heavies to hide behind.
Tested it today, penetrating front with a Tiger. Massively large lower plate.
Sold mine after a few battles.

The spotting system is completely fraked now. 3 games in a row i was shot by a moving/shooting tank 50 feet away, but could not see it. Many others have reported same since patch.
Also new system for skins was supposed to make it so after each update, you did not need to replace yet again. But alas all mine are gone, again. So new system that was harder, is still a POS system that does not work. WoT's is really starting to piss me off with all these bugs, and screw up's.

Having a hard time to decide as well. But I think I'll eventually buy the Ferdinand, simply because I already have the Object, and I have no real use for 2 tier 9 TDs.

It is. If you didn't have the S70 researched, you're going to have a hard time. I think it's better to research the 122 on the IS8, than the IS4. At least it's a tier lower.

Only had one battle with it, but I liked it. I'll see what it can do, before I decide. Although I did sell KV1, KV2, T-150, KV3 and IS4.

Haven't played much, so can't comment bout the spotting system. As for the skins. Just copy everything from res_mods\7.2 to res_mods\7.3. It's that simple.
Also, bought a lot of new shiny tanks. Can't wait to get some time to actually play. I'll try to upload some more replays, if I have the time..

Hull armour is non-existent. The turret mantle is, compared to the abominably thin hull, god-like. The only problem is that on most maps there are no good hull down positions. I can imagine how terrible it must be for american heavy commanders. The terrain is odd. Hills are extremely steep. Road embankments are too high. And in most cases the gods don't seem to like those poor red star wearing beings that have to rely on 45mm of Soviet steel. You may ask how I know that? Well, the god/gods/higher forces seem to have an abundant array of high-explosive trash to throw from the sky.

If arty are shooting your T34-85 2 things are wrong.
1/ your not moving like you should and in open to much.
2/ they are lolwut arty shooting the smaller/easier tanks first. which is just fail for team, and exp.
Yeah the T29/T32/T34 are useless if no where to hull down. Anything equal teir will rape them. The crew hatches are your friends in this case. Shoot them for the crits, and penn shots. You would be surprised how many times my E-50 has popped the teir 9/10 heavies with just top showing over hill/rock. And that is why i use the super long 88MM instead of 105 on my E-50. More accurate can win, when a big gun misses, or bounces.
