[color=#FFFFFF]- The first steps of the guild

The Gas Mining Guild is currently in control of the largest deposit of H-Fuel in the Sirius sector. Before the Guild was formed, the forefathers of its making were nothing more than fishermen on Planet Honshu. During the second century fishing stocks became severely depleted. They ventured into the Crow Nebula of something new to harvest. After 20 long years they discovered Hydrogen and Helium isotopes that were far more abundant than any where else in the Sirius sector. With the demand rising very quickly and supplies in other areas of Sirius limited, the first organised group of fishermen set out to Sigma-13 to conduct effective operations, establishing their first base in the Crow Nebula in 280 A.S. The base was a stationary gas miner (Naha) necessary to continuing operations in the system. Highly sought after, the mined H-Fuel soon attracted plenty of Kusarians hit by the great fishing crisis in Kusari to the nebula. To protect the miners from both political and corporate influence a council was constructed, and the guild was formed a few years later at the same time making the Sigma systems it's primary area of operation. By A.S. 300 the Gas Mining Guild was in full operation, with most of the gas fields firmly under it's control.

- The Eighty Years War
Due to it's significant grip on what could be considered one of the most important resources in Sirius the GMG had constantly been under political assault by the major houses bordering the Sigma quadrant. The Gas Miners Guild struggled to keep criminals from leeching off its shipments of H-Fuel to the houses, and it soon became apparent that a strong security force was required. As such many mercenaries and freelancers were offered work as the guardians of the GMG, expanding the Guild's military hold on the Crow Nebula. This recruitment of experienced pilots had also shown to the Guild the importance of tactics, as the stratagems employed by the security force were extremely effective in eradicating pirates. One of the better known tactics used convoys as bait on their routes towards Frankfurt and Honshu. The security vessels, hiding in sensor obscuring gas clouds would charge at the complacent pirates and destroy them during a single pass. Thanks to this work Sigma-13 remained relatively safe and secure for the mining business.

During this heyday of the GMG, Rheinland held the largest war machine of the four houses containing vast amounts of all types of vessels considered to be easily capable of overrunning any one declared their enemy. The upkeep of such a fleet however was more than their economy could handle. With the Gas Mining Guild constantly strengthening it's stranglehold on the resources required to run the massive fleets of Sirius, the Rheinland Chancellor had believed that it was time for him to act. Before the fleet could be completely immobilised, the Rheinland Military had launched their first strikes into Sigma-13 thus starting what would later be known as the Eighty Years War. As battlefleet after battlefleet were being sent into the heart of the Guild operations, the GMG security force with it's knowledge of the terrain had effectively continued to cripple their foes using extensive guerilla warfare and hit and run attacks.

This kept up for much of the war, with little to no success being achieved by the Rheinland forces. The Gas Mining Guild had managed to hold the largest military force in Sirius at bay using superior tactics. As the Rheinland economy faded, the house itself soon faced greater problems at home than in the Sigma quadrant with the GMG, and the Kaiser was forced to sign a pact of non-aggression with the Guild. The truce prevented Rheinland ships from entering the Sigma quadrant lest the war be restarted, and the trade route to Kusari blocked. With the house leaving most of it's proud military power in wrecks in Sigma-13 and suffering from economic decline, the war came to a final end with the Rheinland nation on the verge of open revolt. As Security Forces war documents were released to the hard workers of the GMG. It became known that the Kusari Naval Forces assisted in the war effort since the begining of the conflict.

- Present time
The GMG victory against Rheinland only solidified it's position as a force (both political and military) to be reckoned with. With the constant expansion of the colonization of Sirius, the demand for fuel was on a steady rise. The Guild soon began their contact with other established factions, including the Corsairs and their famous artifact run offering. After the Corsair and Hogosha betrayal however, the Guild deemed the faction as unfit for business and all Corsair and Hogosha ships were declared as hostile. The GMG quickly began dealing in other commodities as well, with their vast trading fleet providing transport for many goods on their way back to the gas miners.

Both sides suffered great losses during the Eighty Years War however. To add to the problems the H-Fuel from the nebula in Sigma-13 began to grow dangerously scarce, and the high demand constantly placed on the guild had required it to expand it's operations into Sigma-19, further enlarging it's area of operation. Gas Miner Naha was still a primary base for H-Fuel storage and distribution, however the second stationary gas miner control base emerging in Sigma-19 had began to lure trade in that direction also. As more and more shipping vessels moved back and forth through the Sigma quadrant and the GMG being in a spot of weakness in terms of security, chaos slowly started ruling the systems. A few decades later the newly appointed council of the Guild had decided now was the perfect time to restart coordinating efforts with the remaining guild personnel, and to attempt to restore the GMG to it's former glory and power.

-The Rise to Arms
The vast silent glow of the Crow Nebula remains to be the symbol of power for the Gas Miners Guild. Even with the heart of the Rheinland armada floating endlessly into the abyss of the nebula. Hardship continues to strike the heart of a people shattered by war. The effective use of the guilds knowledge of the sigmas has displayed to rival the experience of the corsairs and outcasts which now influences the simgas. Still weakened severely from its conflicts with the Rheinland Military, the guild struggles for its freedom. Kusari offers aid to the gas miners but are refused by the guild. Fearing an allliance with Kusari will cause the guild to lose its independence the guild council calls for aid from its allies. Zoners light years away could not risk taking their eyes off the war between criminals. Stranded and helpless to fight off against the threats at home. The Gas Miners Guild ventured deeper into space away from society. Lacking the proper vessels to make their journey to new levels. The Gas Miners Guild looked toward the otherside of Rheinland for assistance. Allying themselves brother miners of the Independent Miners Guild began the start of a new era for the Gas Miners Guild.

With the glory of the guild restored and power strengthened. The first squadron of the Gas Miners Guild Guadian ventured into the vastness of the Crow Nebula. Adapting their ships specifications to that of the nebula with the help of the Kishiro industry. The guild used their new found power to restored order to the mining operations located in Sigma-13 and Sigma-19. Supplied with the proper technology operations moved to recover the wreck of the lost battleship Namura captured during the 80 Years War. With the rise to arms the gas miners reflected the defeated warmachine floating in the heart of the Crow Nebula.

(Its been over 200 years since the 80 Years War with Rheinland. Over the years of this time the Gas Miners Guild has developed into the warmachine that floats in the graveyard of its home. As it fights to regain its strength and authority in the sigmas, the GMG fails to see the dark path taken. Its Guardian warriors have turned from common guild men to military officers. The Guild Master sends fuel shipments more into the guild's armada than the shipments fuel into the Kusari. Holding the primary source of fuel in the Sirius Sector within the safe guarding of its borders. The Gas Miners Guild has proven it is the dominate force in the Crow Nebula.)

[color=#000099] Equipment
Remember all vessels must have routes which brings them back to GMG controlled space.

[color=#000066] Ships:

Any member of the Guardian, the military portion of the GMG. Must obey the ship list provided here with the proper rank. Any other ship aquired by guild members must be authorized by the Guild Master and have a proper roleplay story. Remember if you are not a member of the Guardian then you are limited in your influence on the guild.

Gas Miner:
All newcomers to the Gas Miners Guild are given comfortable quaters and one Gas Miner. The Gas Miner at the normal cost of 20,000,000 credits holds the load of 2,800. As the guild has come to accept the use of stationary miners to mine goods from the Crow Nebula. The Gas Miner has be modified to carry different goods to both House and Border Worlds.

Whale:
The Whale has proven to be very useful to the guild in making sure goods are shipped through out the houses in Sirius. Though the profit is wanting the defenses of this ship is beyond unacceptable. Escorts from the guild are always open to pilots who pilot these ships at a price of 500,000 credits per ship..

Kusari Transport:
As the shipments of H-Fuel increase so do the methods of its transportation. The Kusari Transport has been adopted by the guild to prevent the normal Gas Miner from venturing too far from GMG controlled territory. Once the transport has shipped its H-Fuel, normal operations of trade are continued.

Borderworlds Transport:
When it became clear plutonium to the Zoner homelands could not be delivered properly with the guilds fleet of transports, the borderworlds transport was brought into service. Able to handle the economic alliance between the GMG and Zoner the borderworlds transport has become the primary vessel for plutonium shipments.

Stinger:

The Stinger Very Heavy Fighter was constructed after the 80 Years War. Since its time in service has this fighter proven to be the marksman craft for patrols. Though harsh and unbalanced, the Stinger carrys the role as head of GMG security heavy fighter patrols.

Taiidan Classes:

The Taiidan Classes compose of the Taiidan Heavy Fighter, Bomber and Freighter.

1.)Taiidan Freighter: acts as the junk collecter during combat situations. With light armor and light arms, this vessel is the "grab and go" ship of the GMG Security Forces.

2.)Taiidan Heavy Fighter: is the prize ship in the Guardian. As the primary fighter of both defensive and offsensive operations, the Heavy Fighter rivals all fighter classes. It is a well known fact that this fighter is the reason for the victory of the 80 Years War and the defeat of the Rheinland war machine.

3.)Taiidan Bomber: has proven to be the war lion in the Guardian. During the 80 Years War squadrons of this class ambushed Rheinland flagships from deep within the Crow Nebula. Carrying heavy weaponry and a powerful reactor, the guild looks to this ship for heavy patrols.

Vipers:
The guild uses vipers to distinguish the light workers from the hard workers. The members of the GMG council tends to use these fighters as personnel means of self transportation. Officers of the Gas Miners Guild Guardian awards these fighters to pilots who are known as "Aces".

Raven's Talon:
As apart of their alliance, the Gas Miners Guild and Independent Miners Guild shared arms. As the threat of hostiles in the Sigmas continued the IMG issued the use of its Talon fighter to the GMG. The Talon has been ordered to perform deep space recon and heavy patrols as a stealth vessel.

IMG Gunboat
Simply said the Rise to Arms. With John Adams cooperating with the Independent Miners Guild. More security officers have been issued a commission of the IMG gunboat. Often the newly design vessels have been spotted patroling the Sigma-13 system as heavy guards for the mining operations. Holding themselves at high self-esteem the crewmen of these vessels are among the best trained by both guilds. This is one of the many vessels holding the bond between them.

-Roleplay Story Required

Albatross Cruiser
Since the call for the Rise to Arms, the GMG has sought aid from the IMG. With the two fiercly independent factions working together to assure the others well-being. Cooperation between both sides on tactical information began to surface publicly to the houses. As a result the first IMG designed cruisers were shipped to the Crow Nebula to serve the struggles of the GMG. This ship is rarely in combat and acts as a mothership for fighter patrols and a command ship to send orders during battle.

-Roleplay Story Required.

Battlestar
The graveyard in the abyss of Sigma-13 has been rewakened with blood shed. Outcasts, Corsairs, and Pirates bringing chaos have matched the soul of the GMG's strength. With the cost of H-fuel soaring due to the constant attacks on the guilds mining operations, houses around Sirius feels the shake of the earthquake in the heart of the GMG. The final hope of enlightenment from the shadow of unguided warfare would be the safely guarded secret of the Gas Miners Guild. With the aid of the Zoners and the IMG the guild moved for one last method. Xcalibur, an ancient weapon of power given only to the strong to change the outcome of fate. Acting as the guardian of the guild this ancient machine will be the last stance before the guild pushes further into space, and away from civilization. Costs limit the production of this ship to only one. Rumors states it has been seen in the fog of the Crow Nebula with images of two Rheinland battleships.

Note:
All people who want to outfit any gunboat or cruiser class are not only required to attain the proper rank but also to post an RP story surrounding said vessels. They will also need to be approved by the council. This is in place to make sure that only the good RPers get to fly the big ships and that there won't be an excessive number of said ships.

Guns allowed:
- GMG
- Rheinland (Must be authorized by CEO, and must be obtained through the wrecks in Sigma-13)
- Civilian
- Kusari
- Codenames
- All other equipment (including "Nomad Weapons") must be authorized by the CEO.

[color=#000099]Duties & Rules of Engagement:
GMG Guardian ships outside of the Guild's area of operation (Sigma systems, Honshu) and not assigned to convoy duty should avoid engagement as much as possible. Unless on convoy duty, obtaining equipment, completing special missions assigned by the GMG council (RP events) or scouting Omicron systems adjacent to the Sigma quadrant, no GMG security should venture out of our home systems at all. GMG trade ships are allowed (but discouraged due to dangers involved) to proceed on trade missions without any security vessels accompanying them.

[color=#FFFFFF] [i]Transportation:
The Gas Mining Guild works to protect and enforce it's interests and to provide the houses with a vast supply of H-Fuel and Plutonium - provided they can pay for it. We will be organizing convoys of H-Fuel and/or Plutonium into Kusari, Liberty and Bretonia. Rheinland is off limits to all GMG ships no matter the circumstances, we won't be doing any convoys there. Convoys should ideally consist of transports and a few fighters/bombers. The convoy will be moving through tradelanes usually without the use of any major jump hole shortcuts. Make no mistake however, this is going to be far from boring. It is easy to hit such a rather slow moving convoy, and a lot of pirate attacks and general action is to be expected.

Protection of Operations:
We will not go out of our way to engage criminals unless they directly threaten our operations. Sigma-13 is a very frequented system, and as a result, plagued by pirates and privateers. Our job however is not to police Sigma-13, but to make sure that the Gas Miners are not harmed. This means that any sort of robbers, pirates, criminals and terrorists nearby the Gas Miners that are refusing to leave the area and are threatening our operations can be engaged by GMG Guardian at their discretion - unless ordered otherwise by a superior officer of the Guild. Gas Miner Naha, Gas Miner Ogashawa and Aomori Station are to be directly protected at all times as long as possible.
Those especially proving a thorn in our side can be put on a "target of opportunity" list to be pursued and eliminated whenever sighted in the Sigma systems or Honshu. The Guild may also employ the services of mercenaries and freelaners.

H-Fuel:
Is and will always be required to be on your ship as a large chunk of your cargo! Drop it off (but not all of it) at random locations through out the houses or border systems. Commanders will always carry a combination of goods and H-Fuel. We're the "GAS Miners Guild" and we want to keep those ships working with fuel. If you're stopped to be asked for H-Fuel, sell it to the person for a little bit more than what you bought it for. Why? Because this person is putting us in danger while interrupting our trading routes. When you stop at your route, ask if anyone wants to buy some H-Fuel. Bigger ships are actually going to need it.
Sometimes when we return to the Sigma systems, we will stop in the field with the gas miners. We will roleplay picking up the H-Fuel and bringing it back to the station where you actually will be buying more H-Fuel for trading runs. From time to time you are also required to carry Plutonium in ships bigger than a gunboat class.

[color=#000099]Recruiting Process
Every character in the faction will belong to either the transport or security department. Everyone joining is encouraged to have two characters, one in each department. The Guild will sponsor the first ship (Gas Miner) with all it's associated equipment for the character. For members joining the Security Forces for the first time will recieve all equipment for Taiidan Heavy Fighter.

Note:All information must be filled and background roleplay acceptable. Currently recruiting is done by via PM: Guyton

Background:

As a growing kusarian boy long have I followed in the foot steps of my beloved father. A man though few of words expressed himself often by actions alone. He was one of the many gas miners who settled on Honshu after the Gas Miners Guild returned home. Often he spoke of tales about our ancestors who were fishermen. Men lost of their way of life due to the change in the oceans where their profits swam gloriously. Even though most creatures of the sea had vanished hundreds of years before my birth. My father taught me the ways of being a professional fisherman to help me understand a former way of life held dear by our elders. Eventually, I to would join the people which have ventured far from home deep into the abyss of the stars where ships vanished to after leaving the spaceport. I was blind to the future that awaited me in the heavens. A future which allowed me to wake up everyday to the beautiful wanders of a legacy, here in the Crow Nebula handed down for generations. Here am I the head of what has become more from just mere fishermen searching for a way of life. Here have I adopted the people of legend. -Sigma-13

Laws of the Sigmas
The following laws have been created for Sigma-13, Sigma-19, and Sigma-59 which is territory ruled by the Gas Miners Guild. With each law stated there is a consequence for going against it. Some laws have greater consequences than others and require more in return from the individual or individuals breaking them. All laws are to be respected, and all laws are to be enforced by GMG Security Forces along with official contractors.

[color=#FFFFFF]1) The Gas Miners Guild is to be acknowledged and respected as the highest authority of the Sigmas

The GMG is the governing body of Sigma-13, Sigma-19, and Sigma-59. Houses and other faction laws do not exist in the Sigmas where the GMG are present. Any vessel declaring space within the Sigmas will be fined 2 million credits, asked to leave the area, or if refusing GMG authority will be shot down.

2.) Mining Operations are restricted to individuals which have not signed insurance papers

The Gas Miners Guild mining operations are located just off the tradelanes at the Gas Miner Naha intersection. No vessel other than GMG tagged and IDed individuals should be in the mining areas. These vessels will be challenged and those who disregard to halt their heading away from the gas miners back to the trade lanes, will recieve warning shots at their shield. If the vessel still continues, begin lightly firing on to the ships hull. Challenge the vessel again to return to Gas Miner Naha. If the ship reaches the gas miners go hands free and shoot the vessel down. Ships labled "Allies" or "Associates" are already authorized.

-Ships must pay insurance upon entering the mining operations of both Sigma-13 and Sigma-19. Vessels which do not pay insurance will be turned around or if not cooperating shot down. Insurance must be paid for vessel risking production of mining operations.:

Fighters: 2,000,000
Bombers: 2,500,000
Transports: 2,500,000
Gunboats: 3,000,000
Cruisers: 4,500,000
Battleships: 7,500,000

3.) Vessels carrying the identification of an unlawful wishing to pirate must first bribe guild officials

Pirating is the most famous idea for the Sigma-13 territory, but no more. Pirates must first pay officials to allow them to pirate offlanes near the area of the debris field. Every 500,000 credits will aid on to an airtime of 30 minutes for that day. Pirates are not allowed to pay for entire days. Any pirate not agreeing to pay officials to conduct their business offlanes will be shot down. Ships carrying the identification of an "Associate" are authorized to conduct their business off lanes.

4.) Vessels carrying the identification of a bountyhunter wishing to assist lawfuls in the area must first sign aboard the Security Forces.

Bountyhunters are not allowed to hunt in the areas of the Sigmas, period. This is due to recent strikes done by bountyhunters against pirates damaging guild equiptment and effecting mining operations. Bountyhunters are required to signup with the GMG Guardian to enforce laws of the GMG. All bountyhunter vessel not complying will be shot down.

5.) No ship is to give aid to any Rheinland Military/Police ID vessels.

We do not allow Rheinland authorities into the Sigma territories. They are still hostile to all GMG personal and are to be shot down on sight without warning. Any Rheinland ship not pledging a full allegiance to the Rheinland Military and enters the Sigmas will be considered a Wilde.

6.) There are to be no testing of weapons or weapons fire of any kind near Gas Miner Naha.

Guardians have the right to shoot down any vessels engaging one another near the area of Gas Miner Naha. Warnings will be given only if vessels are a fair distance from the station. This law will be enforced at all cost, the security of mining production is the highest concern. Any pirate engaging on lanes with airtime will have 30 minutes removed.

7.) Any vessel carrying what the guild has declared Contraband will be halted and required to drop its cargo and shot down if refusing.

List:
-GMG Personnel
-Zoner Personnel
-Kishiro Personnel
-Artifacts

Contraband currently is not the highest problem of the Sigma territory, but all ships are required to hand over any and all equiptment the guild calls contraband. Any ships not complying will be fined or shot down by Security Forces.

8.) Ship classes Cruiser and Battleship idling within the Sigmas must leave.

Vessels of cruiser and battleship class will be ordered to proceed out of the Sigma territory. Any ship not complying will be seen as hostile and security officers will engage at will until vessel is destroyed. Vessels of such class must sign on to the GMG Security Forces and enforce the laws of the GMG.

9.) The Sigma-59 site is off limits to any and all non GMG officials.

Any and all ships found within the area of the Sigma-59 movement site will be demanded to leave. Civilians are asked to request escort and authorization before entering Sigma-59. Ships will be fined on second attempt.

Associates & Insurance Papers List:
Guild Associates are close friends of the Gas Miners Guild. Associates are a combination of lawful and unlawful forces willing to pay insurance to the GMG, allowing them to conduct their business. Each ship is ordered to an area where their influence may spread. Unlawful ships are stationed near the depot of the Yanagi Nebula while Lawfuls are stationed near Gas Miner Naha. Insurance to conduct business is a normal 2 million credits.

1. Harvesters - Yanagi Depot
2. Guards - Yanagi Depot
3. Quest - Yanagi Depot
4. Kowalski, Zodiac, Neophyte, The Comptempt - Yanagi Depot

Members of the Guardian are the proud soldiers of the Gas Miners Guild. The guilds security during the 80 Years War proved to contain the most skilled pilots around the Sirius Sector. Serving as a member of the department means an increase in guild reputation. As warriors advance through the ranks they are open to the various fighters the guild has to offer. After the rank of Lieutenant, competition between pilots increases as voting rolls into play from both guild and council members. Members of the Gas Miners Guild looks to these brave men and women for protection along with their fine integrity. Most senior ranked individuals are members of the council which act on security issues of the guild. Most junior ranked individuals play an important role in the insurance of the guilds interest.

Patrol Routes:
Members of the Guardian located in the area of Sigma-13 where important GMG mining operations are to obey orders as instructed. First to begin, all patrol waypoints will began from Gas Miner Naha. All security pilots are to open communications with the Naha and allow the staff to know you are leaving the area for patrol. The patrol routes are to go along the tradelanes or just off them. Remember Guardian members you are allowed to enter the debris field containing the Junker base, especially if there are gunboats, cruisers, battleships, or any other faction believers (RHA, OTG, TBH, 101st, RM, etc) present in the field. GC and NovaPG are not to be engaged or challenged unless stated otherwise by a superior officer. All vessels pirating are to be ordered to withdraw from other parts of Sigma-13 back into the debris field.

Contraband:
Security pilots are to consider the hold of GMG, Zoner, Kishiro, and Civilians as contraband in the Sigma-13 area. Vessels containing these personnel in their cargo are to be halted and challenged. Be careful not to engage other vessels and endanger the safe return of our pilots. Do whatever is humane to return these individuals as soon as possible. Does house contraband such as marijuana is considered contraband for Security Forces to search for? The answer to that is no, do not bother anyone unless they are carrying what we are looking for. Keep your eyes open for anything and everything.

-Elected by the Council, a hero and legend of the Gas Miners Guild. Admirals are seen as gods of Sirius for their ability to put their visions into motion. It is completely rare there is ever a GMG Admiral seen floating the legendary Xcaliburs within the Crow Nebula. Admirals are responsible for the Guardian, protection, and carrying out the orders of the council. Their diplomacy speaks nothing less than the broadside of their battleship when met with their enemies.

9. Guild Master

-Every armada has a single commander and only one individual recognized as the dominate leader. Guardian falls under the command of the Guild Master whom takes place in effort to defeat the enemies of the guild. Gas Miners Guild(GMG) - Boss - 05-11-2008

Very nicely done, Guyton. This shows promise, as there are few enough player corporation factions. There are a few things I noticed, but they are merely cosmetical, and do not affect the request in any way (other than the contradiction below). There are a few typos scattered throughout, but as I said, merely cosmetical. (I placed a few in green below)

Quote:GMG Minning "mining" Operations:
The Gas Miners Guild minning "mining" operations are located just off the tradelanes at the Gas Miner Naha intersection. No vessel other than GMG tagged and IDed individuals should not be in the minning "mining" areas, period. Challenge these vessels to halt their heading away from the gas miners back to the tradelanes. If we vessels do not stop their heading began with warning shots off the ships heading. If the vessel continues began lightly firing on to the ships hull. Challenge the vessel again to return to Gas Miner Naha. If the ship reaches the gas miners go hands free and shoot the vessel down.

Excellent eyes, thank you for noticing it.

Gas Miners Guild(GMG) - Zelot - 05-11-2008

First off, great well thought out post. I am in total support of this faction.

two quick things.

1. I don't see Samura on your diplomacy list, as one of the two major Kusari corps, this is a big one for you.

2. Should probably move AFA to uinfreindly, as you have Hogosha as hostile.

Aside from that, I think it will be very intresting to see how this affects the politics of Kusari, without a real Kishiro player faction, it has been fairly simple, KNF, KSP and AFA vs NovaPG, BD's and GC's. Hopefuly this group will and another dimension to Kusari Politics.

But Just remember, while I think this is a great faction proposal and I will lend any OORP support I can, Ze'ev wil not be happy with Gaijin based so close to Kusari.

Gas Miners Guild(GMG) - bluntpencil2001 - 05-11-2008

You may want to mention the fact that Sigma 13 was occupied by Rheinland forces in the Nomad War.

THE GAS MINERS GUILD

[size=medium]WE DON'T JUST MINE GAS, WE MINE YOUR WALLETS TOO.

1. Newcomer

2. Guild Associate
50 million credit donation

3. Guild Member
200 million credit donation

4. Senior Guild Member
500 million credit donation

By donating more, you will unlock more secrets of the GMG, and learn more about your existence in the world. Learn about your moods, your future, and discover the truths in the world around us. Join Scientol..., ach, I mean the GMG today!!!

Again, one of my lampoons. Do not take this personally, as I know for a fact this happens in nearly every faction, except not to a level of explicitness as it will happen here. It is an interesting idea, only I am and have always been against the idea of money for advancement. Helping your faction out here and there with a few credit donations is fine, and typically expected of you. But laying out guidelines for advancement based on credit donations, while in RP and probably how it happens in RL, is not exactly something I'd like to see in a faction that people join to have fun and relax.

Again, it's simply my honest opinion. Couldn't resist the lampooning, sorry.

Gas Miners Guild(GMG) - Dab - 05-11-2008

Donation amount requirements shouldn't be that high.. 50mil for 2nd rank.. I'd say make that around 20 million. 60 for the 3rd, 250 for the 4th.

Convoy numbers should also be lowered.. I'd say 5 for the 2nd rank (associate), 10 for the 3rd (member), 20 for the 4th.

Kakujin!

From what I've heard theese "donations" are there to promote the members to trade often and basicly do what the GMG does, transportation of H-Fuel. But, I agree... the amount should be lowered alot, especially if Guyton plans that the donations and acquiring the money for it can only be dealt by using means of H-Fuel trading, I know that commodity isn't such a "moneymaker". Might be wrong on that point though... yet, the amount should be lowered.

Everything else seems fine, though i'm not so sure about the usage of Vipers. Even though they are intended for the high commanders. You got two very good ships for GMG. Taiidan Bomber and the Stinger. Encourage thoose instead in order to be fully GMG. Since the Viper is basicly an icon of the IMG.

Gas Miners Guild(GMG) - Robert.Fitzgerald - 05-11-2008

Actually, I believe the Viper is a GMG/IMG/Zoner joint project. But anyway, yes it's considered IMG due to the =CR='s usage of them.
The Taiidan is good, but the Stinger is really good... Considering it's hard to hit (unfair for the opponent).

It looks good from my eyes, except some of the promotion limits are a bit extreme. Just my thoughts.

Gas Miners Guild(GMG) - mjolnir - 05-11-2008

They have got 3 very good ships... Taidan HF, Stinger and Taidan bomber...

but the hitbox on the Stinger is not really right.

So better if they not spam them until they get fixed, so Viper is ok for me until then.
