Konnichiwa Ministers.
I am sending this transmission to you today to discuss matters which Samura feels is in the best interests of Kusari and more importantly, her people.
Since the beginning of the war with Bretonia, Kusari have disallowed access to Bretonian companies trading in Kusari.
This caused no small amount of economic trouble for us, but was an understandable and even smart move to be taken at that time.
We all knew the consequences that were to be had but were prepared to face these as it placed us in a better position during the conflict.
Now that conflict is over.
Kusari has much rebuilding to be done, and while Samura is doing an efficient job of looking after Kusari to the best of it's ability, this is not the time to let old grudges hinder our nation.
As such Samura Omotai Zaibatsu is lobbying the Republic of Kusari to remove the trading restrictions placed on the Bretonian corporation of Border Worlds Exports.
This would represent a rather significant boost to our economy as well as hasten up our rebuilding progress.
Additionally it will no doubt show greatly the wisdom of the Government of Kusari to move forward in these new trying times.
A nation with strong trading partners will stand strong amongst the nations of Sirius as a bastion of greatness and security.
And it is on these terms that I stand here before you today.
Asking for the government to display wisdom and strength on this issue and stand by our request for a greater Kusari.

A committee was convened to discuss the various issues involved in opening up trade with the Kingdom of Bretonia.
The consensus of this committee was that although it would improve the economy of Kusari to deregulate trade with Bretonia there are other mitigating circumstances which must be addressed.
The only cost effective path leading between the Republic of Kusari and the Kingdom of Bretonia is located in the Tau region which is under a substantial amount of military, as well as political pressure.
To open trade to an enemy of the Kingdom of Gallia, within easy surveillance of said nation, would be to invite unnecessary attention that is not felt to be in the best interests of Kusari.
Add to this the fact that the Kingdom of Bretonia has refused to return the exile forces that are currently seeking asylum within their territory, and it is not too hard to understand why the Republic must deny your request as it currently stands.
It is our hope that relations between the Republic of Kusari and Kingdom of Bretonia can reach a point of normalization, but that is not possible under the current circumstances.
