Ever since Dark Millenium was cancelled, prospects for future Games Workshop IP games weren't looking very good. Now, with a new developer and new game concept, we're finally going to see a 40k MMO. It's being made by Behaviour Interactive, an independent Canadian studio. "It's Space Marine meets Planetside 2 meets Gears of War, in a sandbox setting."
Personally, I'm a massive fan of Warhammer 40,000 (just in case the avatar wasn't obvious), and so I'm very excited for its release. From the information that's been published so far, it appears that the game developers have a pretty clear idea of what kind of game they're creating, which is positive; I was playing quite a lot of Planetside 2 last year and very much enjoyed that, and the devs are taking a lot of inspiration from that game.
The game will be free-to-play at launch, but you will only be able to play as the Ork faction. A one-time purchase (either a "Founder Program pre-order" or post-launch) starting at $40 unlocks all four playable factions (Space Marines, Chaos Marines, Orks, Eldar). Pre-ordering unlocks some cosmetic items from the in-game store, as well as some gear (that is not meant to be pay-to-win). There's a bit more detail than I care to explain right now, though.

You'll get some free "Rogue Trader Points" (in-game store points) to spend on gear/cosmetics.
Looking forward to this, I love WH40k, I have read a lot of books from that universe (Eisenhorn Omnibus, Ravenor Omnibus, Ultramarines Omnibus, Space Wolf series, Gaunt's Ghosts series, Horus Heresy series and some more), but that login... Password need to have a capital letter, your login name cannot be the same as your nickname... I will wait if it will be good or bad, I will start playing based on that.
