1) Contact the owner of the station (look in the POB sub forum to see who owns it) and ask them to sort the issue out for you - make sure to give them the name of your ship as well otherwise they won't be able to help you.
2) Wait until the next server restart (Every 24 hours though the exact timing can vary) and your reputation to the POB will be the same as before you shot it.
This group "Phoenix" sounds cool for my new explorer char, but I'm not sure what the difference is between "fcZonerBw" and "fcZonerCo".
Which of these should I restart as if I want to apply to join Phoenix on this char?

fcZonerBW restart gives you a map of the Borderworlds and Omicrons which would fit better for the Phoenix, While fcZonerCo restart gives you the basic map of the houses.
If you wish to join Phoenix, I'd take the Borderworlds one.

Thank you for your help. I picked Bw on a whim and it turns out it was the right choice. My new char is off and exploring. Now I'm just trying to learn the rules and applying to factions.
No luck yet in getting into any, or working with any other players in any way other than getting pirated.
I'm back after a few months off and as soon as I get my account unbanned, I'll be logged in.
What I'd really like to do is join up with a group of fairly regular players. Only condition; I don't want to RP on the forums.
So far, my attempts to join factions have been frustrating, mostly because I have to fill out an application form where I'm supposed to make up fake details and a backstory for my character....
This is beyond what I'm willing to do. I'll RP all day in-game, but I don't want to RP on internet forums. That just seems crazy to me.
So, are there any player factions out there I could join where we RP in-game, but just act like regular people on the forums...? Ultimately, that's the Disco experience I'm looking for.

May take a while because I rarely encounter other players...
Forum RP might not seem as entertaining as ingame at first, but it's a pretty neat thing to have when you have a weird break between two classes that doesn't allow you to do anything else. You also tend to extend your vocabulary through it and that's never a bad thing.
