This message is to inform you that a squad of officers from the Investigation Division of the Bretonian Police Authority will shortly be arriving at your station. During one of our regular check ups of the outer systems an officer reported several suspicious substances among locals that seemed to be originating from the various commodity brokers. In addition several large armoured vehicles occupied storage areas that seemed to be up to sale. This last is of interest since while the Junkers do, for the moment, have a Military Material License to transport such vehicles, it is for the express purpose of supplying the Bretonian Armed Forces, not for the storage and resale for your convenience.
That a Junker base may be slowly developing into a center of drug trade and arms sales is very disturbing to the Division. As such the aforementioned squad will be conducting a thorough search into the activities of the Junkyard. The Officer in charge, Chief Inspector Casey Renei, will proceed under the full authority of myself, the Chief of Investigations, to investigate and search your station for contraband and other illegal items. This search will compass all areas of the station, including storage areas, docks, currently moored ships, and if necessary a search of the crew and their quarters, in addition a thorough investigation into their background. Should their search confirm the existence of either large amount of contraband and/or contraband of a highly sensitive nature then a formal request will be sent to the Chief Commissioner calling into question your ability administrate. This act may also cast doubts over the secure nature of other Junkers stations closer to the core worlds leading to additional investigations.

Bretonian Police Authority
As more refugees pour into the area, many Bretonian, we have no doubt that the Police Authority will be considered with the well-being and safety of Bretonian citizens -- no matter the locale. We welcome these proceedings and an opportunity to ensure positive ongoing relations with Bretonian authorities, and the station's crew will cooperate in kind.
Upon Inspection:
-Inspectors will find that storage currently contains a small [under 400 units] amount of Military vehicles in various states of repair -- as refugee operations that bring human cargo from Planet Leeds also include salvage opportunities. Most of these units have not yet been attempted for repairs, however if the presence of such useful scrap is a hazard, it can be sold to proper authorities for an insignificant sum.
-Inspectors will find, adorning the hulls of a display ship -- most specifically an old but pristine Firefly -- the traces of 5 units of Liquid Cardamine. These are in no way viable product as the cargo bay was superheated by an explosion during damages sustained on the ship's final run, and now consist of the cargo in a state of statis within the 'Smuggler's Dream -- Firefly' monument located at Docking Bay B.
-Inspectors, or customers, will also have found amongst their tour of the Junkyard a successful open market for equipment sales. Currently, there is standard as well as CODENAME equipment made available frequently. Bretonian authorities have had unfettered access to this equipment as well, and sales to such Pilots have taken place prior without issue, or mention of needed licensing.
Inspectors will discover an amiable locale that is indeed not 'center of drug trade and arms sales', and rest assured that our business here involves respectable partners such as Gateway Shipping and the OSI.
The ongoing sale of scrap, local Ores, and supplies needed for the placement of refugees has always been the primary importance of the Junkyard Station. In addition to this we have added to our principal interests, fostering the security and rights of Refugees --- including those of Bretonian nature, and hope to continue to do so. The further research and exploration afforded to Planet Forres, as well, will likely prove a boon to those looking to relocate civilians.
With pleasant regards,
Aces

The validity of your claims will be determined during the course of the Investigation into the Junkyard. During the investigation the status and number of the Bretonian refugees that have made their way to the Junkyard will also be looked into and whether an increased BPA presence in the system is required for the protection of Bretonian citizens. Expect the Investigation team to be arriving shortly.
