It's the responsibility of the rp provider to offer something to the others. And then the recipient decides whether or not he wants to play that scenario.
Ignoring things that make no sense is a vital skill that keeps good rpers from kany frustrating experiences.
So basically you say thet even if it's posted in roleplay, in a roleplay-only part of the forum, it is up to anybody and everybody to decide what they take inRP and ooRP, right? Is that true? Can I just deliberately declare, let's say, something from your characters in Comms Channel to my characters, as ooRP?
That has never been the case, and as long as we don't have a green text about it being like that from now on, it won't be. In case you (and whoever else) have forgotten it already, let me remind you to this:

1. This is a role-play forum.

Maybe you can enjoy PvP without having your inRP immersion ruined beyond recognition by flower roleplay, but I don't like the idea of being forced to do the same, whether I want to or not, in order to have fun.

And why do I have to lower my standards in order to have my fun instead of others putting at least the same effort and contribution to the overall roleplay environment as I do? I roleplay and do my stuff in regards of others' immersion, why can't others do the same? Why don't they want to?

That's the problem, I've been here for almost 3 years already and so far I've been adapting to standards I'm experiencing a massive lowering at. Disco wasn't like this before, and I don't think a shrinking playerbase can justify lowering standards (even if at a point I myself roleplayed such for one of my characters).
The whole concept behind the OP ship was to reinvigorate official factions, giving them a week long perk and something fun to fly. The [RM] are the sixth official faction to fly a variation of an OP ship of my creation.
Just about every faction has had a boost of activity when flying it and the response from opposing factions has been mostly positive. I even received Kudos from members of the community, thanking me for making the game more fun for them, and that was from players who had to fight against the ship.
Every OP ship I've created has a weakness. For example, the Venator, although powerfully armed, was susceptible to bombers, much like every cap ship. The Thor will take down caps in no time, so those that insist on flying caps against it are going to go down quickly. However, it has been destroyed many times by pilots flying snub craft. The response from those who do destroy it is one of jubilation.
There are those who are going to do nothing but criticize my attempts at trying to bring some fun to this game. It's true that getting your cap killed in 6 seconds is no fun, however how much fun were you having flying your cap in Liberty chatting it up with a couple other cap pilots and ganking the same Outcast capital ship pilots?
If the same old, same old, is what you want, then fine. Enjoy the game for as long as it lasts doing the same things, with the same ships and with the same people. I was trying to provide a perk for official factions, something they complain often about not having much of.
My time is spent mostly Admining. I'm not part of any factions and I don't even fly an indie ship anymore. This part of the game was the only fun I had left. I can stop if the community finds it not fun, or unbearable even. My hope was that it would create a fun time for the community, but if that isn't happening, then I failed miserably.

And so u made another admin sad gj community keep it up
And who said fun cannot be had and stagnation cannot be broken while staying within the realism of the roleplay environment and without inventing random nonsenses such as deities randomly giving away weapons capable to change the outcome of many wars like some deus ex machina in an antique epic poem? Is this the Iliad now?

Thyrzul. You suck. Admins, feel free to remove the green from me. I'm done here.

I hate to break it to you but I cannot think of a single religion ever or epic poem basically every single god has stories involving deus ex machine type events happening. Why complain about it happening in Disco as if its good enough for the gods its good enough for disco.

Wait a second, are there actual Gods in Disco now?

You are not required to lower your standards to have fun, and likewise other people are not required to raise their standards to meet yours.
Good job guys. Everyone, really. Way to complain about every single thing someone does. No one can ever be satisfied, and if it's not one thing, it's another. This community will ALWAYS find something to complain about. And now? Because of people's need to criticize something fun for s short time, an Admin has left. Good job all of you. I still hold hope for this community, but the way everyone recently has acted, it's going south. You think this will last long if everyone keeps *****ing about Devs or Admins? Without staff, Disco won't be around.
So go ahead, keep complaining. Keep nit-picking every single thing you don't agree with. Awesome job.
Oh, and closing this since already this thread has caused an admin to leave and is now serving zero purpose. Enjoy the game, be positive. If you can't, then please... Just leave Disco/this community to those whom still have fun without complaining about everything.
