Afaik, you can only fit survey modules on capital ships, and it would be massively wasteful to build an expensive capital ship just to turn it into a "drone" that gathers hyperspace coordinates.
What about the Corvo? Isn't it supposed to be a research vessel? Sounds right for the job...
Plotting hyperspace routes in a Corvo, in and of itself, is fine.
Using a Corvo for commercial or military purposes (e.g. the primary role of your ship is selling survey coordinates) is not fine. That ship is built for science and exploration, not infiltration and recon. It's not a Resheph. Further, I'd argue the Zoners would not build a Corvo for someone who had those intentions in mind.
It would be one thing if your roleplay is a scientist doing shady things to make ends meet and fund his research. But to put such a ship in the hands of a computer intelligence, in a setting where computer intelligences have proven themselves to be unreliable and prone to being compromised nine ways to Sunday? Nope.
