I had a very big brainstorm on this one, because Smuggler ID is not existant and here's the question:
Is smuggling with Freelancer ID against the rules, since it is technically the unlawful action? Of course, Pirate ID is out of question for obvious reasons.
you can even smuggle with a lawful ID, its the same thing, its getting caught that is the problem (depending on who catches you). But if you want the most options available for locations to dock, reputation wise, FL is you're best bet.

No - you will be passive.
But there might be RP consequences.
An unlawful action would be active.
Like a demand.

Well, we should go back to Trader and Freelancer ID in fact, as Trader ID would allow pilogate of bigger transport BUT would have a rather bad nerf on the weaponry installed - forcing either trader to risk flying unarmed or to get a wingman.
By the way, where are all those mercenary RP styled convoys? I miss them.
