How much time should have past between the time you look at a thread and the last post that was made, for it to be considered dead?
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
I'd think the limit of what's appropriate bumping is somewhere around two or three months. But I also think the entire concept is stupid. Sometimes, a topic is just as relevant as it was when the thread was made, and if there's already a thread around treating the exact same topic, with good arguments already made, why is that a problem?
I don't see the point making a new thread on a topic that's already been discussed, but could use more input.
Grave digging isn't always bad. Graves can contain treasure as well, after all.
