COMM ID:CAPT HARTMAN, Jane TARGET ID: CDR JENSEN, William SUBJECT:Quartermaster Familiarization ENCRYPTION:Low PRIORITY:Low
Good Afternoon Commander,
Firstly, my congratulations on your new assignment. I'm certain it's well deserved. As you may be aware, I, and by extension the Logistics Corps as a whole, haven't had a great deal to do with your predecessor, and I'm hoping to rectify that right from the start this time around.
As Quartermaster, all the special equipment we're rolling out at Long Island station falls under your command. At the moment, I'll be the first to admit that that's a whole lot of nothing, but once the upgrades are finalized we'll be able to step up and start assembling what I'm told is going to be some right special kit that you'll be able to filter down to the troops. Essentially, Commander, let us know what you need and we'll get it to you. What you do with it from there is your business. Additionally, the position as Quartermaster entitles you to access to the entirety of the Logistics Corp's supply and storage vessels. With your old post in Logistics, I expect you've already got the old access codes; however, I've made arrangements for the updated keys to be sent to you over an encrypted frequency.
Supply and day to day administration of the base'll still fall under the control of CDR Graham and myself, but I'll see to it you've got the access you need to order and retrieve that gear as it's required and, once construction's complete, we'll clear up a compartment for more standard fleet inventory for your use.
On the subject of standard inventory, I've also received a request for documentation of the fleet's small arms. It's not an urgent matter though, frankly, I'm surprised to hear that it hasn't already happened. I've been able to source some draft documentation from the FADM's office; however, it'd be appreciated if you'd contact me once you're settled into the new appointment and we can get those details sorted out.
Welcome to the rear echelon, Commander. Try not to trip on the paperwork.
Regards,
Jane Hartman

Please accept my apologize for delayed response. And thank you, I hope that I do not fail you nor the high command, and that this is the right decision.
I have been reviewing the low amount of equipment on board Long Island station, and to be honest, that's slightly surprising. I only hope for the upgrades to happen as fast as possible to reinforce and ensure the flow of equipment and weaponry to the troops and pilots, which I believe that yourself and commander Graham are on top of. I will be looking forward to work with you.
Moving on to the matter of your request, I have reviewed some old documents regarding light arms used by marines and troops, and have issued new up-to date documents for troops of the Liberty Navy
LIBERTY NAVY, SIDE ARMS. REPORT Wrote:Pilots carry a powerful and lethal handgun at all times, keeping a versatile assault rifle stored in their fighters for hard situations.
Security personnel and guards aboard capital ships hold the following: A lethal handgun, taser, and 'Flechette' shotguns. The purpose of Flechette shotguns is to deliver sustained and the most damage to the enemy troops while ensuring the least secondary damages that would be done to the ship's hull, as the tiny rounds are unable to significantly harm structures.
Liberty Military Marines carry the following: A lethal handgun, 'Flechette' shotgun, and a specialized weapon; specialized weapon, which can be either a LMG, Assault rifle, or SR, depending on preference and the field of training of the said Marine.
Bridge officers and other crewmen carry high-capacity clip handguns, but in the case of boarding action they may also have access to 'Flechette' shotguns from the capital ship's armory.
