"Excecute Order 23."
A strange transmition is recived for all Colonial ships:
Fact of the matter remains, the CR ID gives them the ability to enforce their laws and demand contraband there. Claim or no claim, I treat the CR like I would any lawful entity, and if I'm carrying something unlawful, that be an ID, weapon, ship, or cargo, I avoid them just the same as I'd avoid the BAF or LN for those reasons.
Inrp, its pretty obvious the CR would want to entrench themselves in Coronado, as they have little choice in the matter now, as free real estate has dried up. Inrp their claim on the south-western quadrant can certainly be disputed, but its not crazy for them to want to exert control right on their doorstop. Since Barrier Gate isn't a Freeport, and has no real organized military force, there's nothing stopping the CR from policing the area. It does make gathering as unlawfuls at BGS a pain, but that simply seems to be 'the way it is' out there.
Maybe we do need to form a 'barrier gate security' wing that will put the run on Colonials when they want to go in after pirates or smugglers. Until then, its every man for himself out there, and the unlawfuls are the ones on the run. Although, i'm sure even the colonials wonder what they might run into down there, and aren't invincible themselves, so maybe all thats needed is for players to go there and start sending them packing.
I don't really see why people care so much. The lore is bad anyways and their ID is useless because CR| is dead and has been for years. The last CR| I tried to play with ragequit the game roughly half an hour later. Have the Gauls go in and finish them off, put their snubs on the borderworlds market or something, once they've been nerfed to crap.
*sighs* I answer Mímir's question: I have no idea. But sometimes things happens without any signs of RP, on this -RP- server. Example is Dresden. Why would anyone do some really big RP when devs will 'rp', err.. decide everything before? Official factions need far more freedom to RP and influence the lore, which is, as Technogeist said, bad. Unfortunately, the lore is sometimes used as sword and shield agains people who want to change something, aka Texasburg. Once I had QQ about it, but that is kinda another story. I got responses like "Rheinland = bad economy, need to rebuild the fleet" Recently I tried to inRP build an Elbe - Rheinland carrier for me. DHC- was fine to cooperate with in this issue. But leader of 'unnamed' faction is lazy as *insert some word per your wish*... I am not surprised why Rheinland haven't big fleet inRP.
What's the point of this post? ..This is not RP server. Not when it's agains fairytales of the devs.

Bring it up with Micro$oft and Chri$ Roberts, see what they tell you, then.
